- Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski already revealed his intentions for star quarterback Deshaun Watson before the team's second preseason game next week.
Via a Zoom press conference on Sunday following the team's 23-10 preseason loss to the Green Bay Packers, Stefanski revealed that Watson won't play against the Vikings in Week 2 of the preseason. As the four-year head man explained, Watson will be getting plenty of reps with the Browns first team during their joint practices with the Vikings this week. Josh Naylor drove in José Ramírez with the go-ahead run in the eighth inning and the Cleveland Guardians held on for a 9-8 win over the Chicago Cubs on Monday night in a back-and-forth matchup that evoked memories of their 2016 World Series.
Rookie Jhonkensy Noel hit a three-run homer and solo shot, and he made a diving catch in right field to save a couple runs for the AL Central-leading Guardians, who returned home after splitting a tense, four-game series at second-place Minnesota.
Steven Kwan added a two-run homer for the Guardians, who blew an 8-3 lead before improving the league’s best home record to 36-20.
“We're proving to ourselves we can win a number of different ways,” said Cleveland manager Stephen Vogt. “That's one of the first times all year we’ve been punched back like that late in the game, and for our guys to respond and put runs up late, that’s huge.”

Yes he clearly knows his stuff, he has the browns defense ranked number 1 this year and last. And he know that deshaun has made our offense look terrible since coming here. Both those things are 100% accurate.

2020 Watson is still in there hasn't been able to do it because of the offenses we were running. this year the offense is going to be more towards shotgun rpos what he's used to so he will be back

Derrick 😂 Watson doesn't have an injury history over the past 2 years. He injured his labrum in October, and as a result the shoulder was stretched and then broken in a hit in Tennessee. If you call one injury spread over a 2 month period, a history, then go off little man. 😅

No one can speculate until all the facts come out. My biggest complaint with Mike Hall as a player is he is very underwhelming. I have no idea other than some of his physical traits as to why anyone would draft this guy in the second round. His play at Ohio State was below average. I have watched every game throughout his career there and I can only remember one game where this guy had a great game. Other than that he was subpar.
