My 19yr old son discovered Pokey and brought his music to me. Proud Dad here that my son gets and appreciates great music.
Good on you, he had to have gotten it from somewhere. I got my boy into Nathanial Rateliff and he's been exploring great music for the last few years. He brought Billy Strings and Mandolin Orange to my attention.

Tremendous talent in Pokey and his band. I have yet to find a song by him that I don't enjoy.... And the gal in this video is absolutely home grown pretty ! Not caked on make up, just naturally beautiful....

Pokey LaFarge is an incredible musician, his lyrics are beautiful and definitely unique ! 🎼 I became a devoted fan three years ago when I discovered his music while listening to different Jazz and Blues bands.. 🎶

that’s how I got introduced tonight, WOW. Started pouring through his catalogue. Literally the best new music I’ve heard in the last 20 years. This song in particular is on league with Louis Armstrong’s “what a wonderful world” for tugging at the heartstrings. It’s on the wedding playlist. Great flick btw.
