Would instant popping of the amp fuse be an indicator of a bad transistor or could that be another issue ?
input power Mosfets. depending on the amplifier you have. you can contact me on facebook for more information and help *Real Cedric Deboss*
How would I find the equivalent of my transistor? I have a 1000w pyramid arctic series amplifier and one of my transistors shorted. It says NC50N06 on it
write me on real cedric deboss on facebook.
Correction:
Protection mode is red light
Normal mode is blue/yellow light
I like this.
When measuring please you should the multimeter as well so we can as well follow up and understand what is happening
The heat synk's are what goes on top of the transistors.
yes exactly
Question?
When the amp goes into protection mode. Will that cause the subwoofer to make a thumping sound only?
I don't quite get your point but there are some key things that can cause noises when an amp is on protection mode.
1. The subwoofer isn't getting enough power for it to fully turn on and amplify the bass.
2. That noise can be distortion coming from the lack of signal.
NB: When the subwoofer is at it's peak it consumes a relatively larger amount of current.
Tips: try disconnecting the sub and only play the speakers and see if the amp is no longer on protection. feel free to always come back. cheers
Help me figure out my issue, it goes into protection mode when I start playing a song.
How long has the amplifier been doing that and where are you located?
Hi.. I have Powerbass Monoblock 8000w and it protects immediately when you connect it. Could it be the same problem as that one or maybe you can supply me with other solutions to try!? 🤷🏽♂️🤔
follow the steps in used in the video to diagnose yours.
My problem is there’s no light, the fuse blows every time… it’s probably fried??

What would cause an amplifier to turn on only sometimes? OEM lexus amplifier. Whenever car is parked for a long time the amplifier turns on, but if you stop to get gas (turn car off) the amplifier does not turn back on.
it could be the output capacitor. Open the amplifier and do a visual check. only do this if you have basic knowledge of car amplifier repairs or check my tutorial videos.
Why you have changed the transistor when u have problem with protection mode? Shouldn’t we check the mosfets for power supply problem?
MOSFET is a metal oxide field effect transistor.
Are you in cape town
Upington, NC.
What would cause this to happen? As a preventative
The most common cause is a faulty car amplifier.
Why don't you record in real time?
will do
