Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started traveling full-time January 10, 2016. While daily vlogging was not the original plan, we were having way too many cool experiences not to share every single day! Now travel vlogging is our full-time gig and we feel like we have the greatest job in the world! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)
We’ve pulled inspiration from several of our favorite travel vloggers on RUclips, such as: +CaseyNeistat +FunForLouis +Jon Olsson +Mr Ben Brown , and any other talented travel vloggers that RUclips’s algorithm will hopefully connect us with ;)

When I first discovered you guys's Channel I benched watched every single vlog that you upload and now you can't upload fast enough to satisfy my need LOL love watching you guys.
Have really missed these kind of blogs over the last few weeks. So glad the original style is back!😁
+loopyloo338 glad to hear you enjoyed it!
I have missed this type of Nate and Kara.
I love the nature vlogs but these type of vlogs are my FAVORITE. You guys are one of very few vloggers that really make you feel like you are right there. Can't wait for the next videos! Feel better, Kara :)
+aleksiskm glad you enjoyed it!
That was so cool. I love learning about other cultures.
+Brown Chair Photography I think that's why we both loved La Paz! It's rich with culture!
Another good one! Carneval is awesome! It's also celebrated in Europe! When I lived in Germany it was a large party and everyone took part! So much fun!
Aw, this made me so happy! (And miss home - Bolivian living in the US, here.) La Paz is such a cool city and I'm glad to see you out and about despite altitude sickness and inclement weather. Hope you eat plenty more salteñas! :)
You two are my favorite people.
I've done the red cap tour in La Paz, and it was amazing!!! Went back for the avocado sandwiches everyday for 4 days after that, they were incredible and the nicest lady too :)
Wow, This place is full of happy people :) what an interesting way to be a couple ;)
That Witches Market... fascinating yet very creepy. I wouldn't want to make an enemy out of one of those shop owners. 😁
When I saw the avocados there, I was so shocked. Not due to the sheer size but the price. Only 2 Bs. each. So damn creamy and fresh!
I love that you guys always show parts of the tour guides talking. Always so interesting
Okay the part with your guide showing you how Bolivian's become a couple was fabulous!! Hysterical! Just loved it!!
Loved La Paz, and I absolutely love your videos. I was there one day before this video was posted (what are the odds)! Been watching the ones from Bolivia and Peru, and I really miss being there. Thank you for sharing your wonderful adventures!❤️ Much love from Norway
You can always tell when someone is Extranjero by how they eat their Salteñas :v YOU BITE THE TIP AND SIP OUT THE JUICE lol. I had the same problem when I moved from the states. They would tease me for eating like a gringa :"v
Dehydrated llama fetus, now there is a video title you don't see everyday.
😂
Very interesting, not too touristy like Argentina. Food looks awesome like in Southeast Asia.
+Garry Cole there's way more street food in La Paz which is one reason why we enjoyed the city so much!
.
Glad that Kara is feeling better.
Have fun !!
I love the tour guide! The lesson in flirting is the best thing I’ve ever seen 😂
Hi Kara and Nate,
I lived in La Paz for a couple of years back in the mid-70's and liked it so much I returned for a visit in 2009. I fondly remember Carnival, and thank god they did not have the foam when I was there (just water balloons). Glad you like it too.
Ran across your channel during your Everest Base Camp trek (I'm going in the Fall). Love your energy and enthusiasm. Thanks for all the hard work you guys put into these videos.
It's such a cool city! We want to go back as well. We heard that water guns were the norm but this year they are having a bit of a problem with drought so they weren't allowed to waste water!
Good luck on your trek! You'll love it!
OMG Saltenas are bomb!
Best tour guide yet!!! Loved this vlog!!! Xx
La Paz looks like a great place to be! Thanks for replying to my dm too!
The part where he showed you how to flirt was so funny and cute
Cool & funny content guys , loved it .
Me binge watching these vlogs in order and absolutely crying because you’ve come so far and have stayed humble and interacting w your subscribers!
That Max is really awesome!
I love Culture. I'm from California. However, I'm soooo glad I'm from America 🇺🇸!!! I prefer our traditions.
I LOVE Juicy Empanadas! My family make it as It's pretty hard to get in Melbourne and it's not as juicy as the one you had,
+The Drunken Bear they were delicious! We'll have to learn when we get back to Nashville
What an interesting tour...that tour guide was very fun...full of info...😆BIG HUGS FROM IDAHO
What did you do to that poor salteña omg 😭😭😭
Love this style of Kara and Nate vlog :) yay!!!!!!!!!!!!
+Lorna R glad you enjoyed it!
Vacation is fun, but safety first
Next time I also recommend checking out Santa Cruz.
+Luis Hurtado there are several other places in Bolivia we hope to come back and visit one day!
Awesome. I hope you guys do. Love your videos btw.
Do you take any antibiotics with you when you travel to help you when you get sick? On your personally guided trips, do you tip your guide?
That lama made me sad 😞
Enjoyed the video very much!
that's a Thestral from Harry Potter, not a llama fetus at 7:20!
4:54 The more I watch this guy the more I'm convinced he was a snake somewhere else.
Wonderful video
You need to visit Cochabamba!
Def need more of these Nate and Kara style vlogs! And more upbeat vlog music please :)
+JOE'S TRAVELS glad to hear you enjoyed this one!
amazing video
You guys must walk so many steps each day. I’d be so curious to know what your average step count is when you’re travelling
Saltenas are the best!
How did this market compare to the one in Otavalo Ecuador for you?
6:58 Where did Kara come from???? :)
I didn't know you guys like the Kaos lol good video
How to conquer a lady by a Bolivian 😂👀❤️
No, nobody is staring at you Kara, just us 😂
5:13 the guy got game. He should start bolivian dating school
Lots of dark vibes from the witch market
Does the time of carnival change every year? I would love to go to Bolivia at that time!! I also enjoy each and every one of your amazing videos, keep traveling and doing what you love:)
Miss UnPerfection Its usually in between February and March :) but has no official date and the celebrations vary from place to place. This year the main and more touristic celebrations (the Entrada in Oruro) start around Feb 10 but the Corsonde Corso in Cochabamba isnt until the next weekend. There are also activities in the countryside that carry out for the entire month so basicly any time around this month is a great time to come :)
@4:44 Shakti Kapoor spotted in La Paz.
Who new you could say so much with just the way your hat is
haha, I think you chose the wrong top
I won't buy that.it's too scary at all. By the way, I can't sleep if I buy that.
Get liquid chlorophyll drops to help with altitude sickness. It worked for me when hiking Machu Picchu.
And chewing coca leaves, too.
That’s so sad 😞...baby llamas 🦙 😞😥.
That is NOT how you eat a salteña 😂😂😂 I’m dead
11:22 clock is weird.
Did u see the famous zebras?
+Seth Birdoff ?
Kara and Nate Zebras help traffic in rush hours downtown la paz. They are very cute and harmless
"Chulitas want a man that is thiccer." -Random Bolivian Man
LOL
That is NOT how Bolivian people become partners 😂
that's true prison... sorry we only serve coke...
hello!
This is MBC , a Korean broadcasting station that produces travel content programs.
While browsing Bolivia-related materials, we found a cool video and contacted us.
Can I use this video to make a program?
Permission please.
thank you😀
Dehydrated llama fetus?? Omg.
llama fetus... that doesn't sound good
why cover fruit and vegs with plastic with rain that doesn't make sense
I initially thought this was the weirdest and most awkward tour ever, and then it was literally confirmed as such with all the idols and gods and odd rituals...at least they have the 'purest cocaine' there. 🤦♀
Is cristiano ronaldo jaj
11:17 is that a huge rat on the background?
Maybe is a squirrel 😬!!
Tanys Olivares it's a bird flying lol
As soon as I see someone trying to get me to appease a witch I sign off. It is not child's play, it is dabbling with demons.
In Bolivian culture -Aymara and Quechua- there is no devil per se as in the catholic church those beliefs were brought by the catholic church. In fact we Bolivian s believe in different goods sun, earth mother or pacha mama among others, and giving an offerings is to stabilsh reciprocity not only take - but give it back. I.e. llamas were one of few sources of food in the Highlands, they were also very important as means of transportation. To show gratitude on the past people - some still practice- will offer this to the earth mother. Indegenous people had to asimilate but managed to keep their beliefs-while sincretizaing with a new culture.I.e. virgen has an adorn behind her head with a shape of the sun good because that was their good, not the virgen. They never loose their culture but the merge it in a sneaky way that now a days catholic church accepts many traditions and perform ceremonies together that one would think are pagan rituals.
Hahaha....Kara had stomach bug. Reason: 2 much fast foods
Not a pleasant episode.
What a horrible city to visit..I even prefferd going to Asia before Bolivia...
