BECKY & BADETTE (Media Conference) ||

A comedy film about genuine friendship. This is what The Ideal First Company's "Becky and Badette" is all about: two friends who didn't leave each other's side despite the passing of times. Directed by Jun Lana, it is an official entry to the 49th Metro Manila Film Festival. "Inside Showbiz with Aster Amoyo" had the privilege to attend the movie's recent press conference. Lead stars Eugene Domingo and Pokwang were present as well as Agot Isidro and Romnick Sarmenta. During the press con proper, Uge and Pokie looked back to the time when their friendship started. On and off cam, the two ace comediennes revealed that their friendshp is solid. Pokwang stated that Eugene is like family to her already. She is very supportive not only professionally but also on the personal side. On her part, Uge praised Pokwang's professionalism as a co-actor. She only has good words for her friend whose rise in the 'biz she witnessed. According to Direk Jun, it's fun seeing his two leads together, saying that they're perfect for their roles. Agot and Romnick revealed that even if they're not comedians, they had a good time doing the movie. For one, the script is so funny and sharing the frame with Uge and Pokie, they felt challenged to give their best and go with the flow. In the end, Eugene pointed out that their movie's theme mirrors the current status of local show business where collaboration is very essential for the industry to survive. Touted as another comedy whch will touch the viewers' hearts, "Becky and Badette" will surely be a hit. Congratulations to the cast, crew and the rest of the team!
