    Just the review I’ve been waiting to hear Jeff. A thoroughly informative single strut versus no strut comparison. Thanks 🙏🏻

    After spending the winter repairing kite valves, I can tell you one aspect of single strut/no strut kites that is super appealing--- simple to repair, cheaper to repair, easier to repair.

      My ufo has like 10 holes and I have it 6 months no other kite has had holes that quick

      @@joshuabossink not sure that has anything to do with the number of struts, Josh. Sounds like Slingshot has a material issue. I had the first gen Solo and i rode it pretty hard. Had maybe one pinhole in 3 yrs. Sorry to hear about your kite issues. Frustrating to spend money on a new kite and have problems. I'd send something to ss

    Love the channel, great video, but How did you manage to talk about foiling kites without talking Maui Cloud?. Lol.

    Could you talk about water start on kite foiling? Is it better to use a low volume board because it flows on it side? Could you also talk about how to do kite stalling properly?

    Hi Jeff.
    Do you think the UFO 9 could fly in 7 knots of wind with a foil board? Actually I use a Duotone Capa 13 in this light wind condition but I'm searching for a more userfriendly kite for easy tack and freestyle...

    I currently have 6m and 8m Ozone Alphas. Excluding foil kites, is it worth getting a larger single strut / no strut kite to gain a little on the bottom wind range with a surf foil?

    • @kiteboardingcom1
      @kiteboardingcom1  4 года назад

      It can be depending on how low you want to go. The 10m Alpha will definitely give you a bit more low wind riding options compared to the 8m, how much will depend on line length, foil size, and your riding level.

    Hallo..When my 13.5m three strut(RRD Passion) and TT 142x45 can't get me on plan(86kg nude) but in the same time my friend (70kg) is planning (same kite and TT)..does a one-strut 17m kite will be ok for me?...or maybe smaller rhan 17m?...thank you

    Would my ozone reo control bar
    Work with the UFO kite?

    • @RogueEight
      @RogueEight 4 года назад +1

      It will. All you need are 4 equal length lines. You will need to swap the pigtail around though.

      @@RogueEight I believe ozone bar has equal length lines 🤔... Thank for the info about the pig tail.

      I've been using a lf solo v3 the past year for foiling, along with a wave kite and my regular tt kite.
      The solo seems to work ok but maybe I'm just trying to foil in ulta light wind , usually 7-8 mph.
      I need a big solo 15.5 to get moving even with a big board and surf foil head.
      What I find in lite wind is the lighter it gets the more the kite wants to dive to the water. That makes it hard to control, also it needs full depower to fly.
      It feels so unstable.
      I haven't tried any of the newest single strut kites or strutless kites.
      I would love to fly a faster flying kite that doesn't act this way in sub 10 mph winds.

    Had the kite alpha v2 foil board apex and ozone contact bar then I switched to UFOv2 was in love right away then switched to crazy fly 99 pocket foil board this board unbelievable light and so responsive to the Foil ozone Foil board was very uncomfortable, the two bolts in the back of the board would hurt my heel constantly bad design. Then purchase the kiss bar for foiling now ozone bar feels like a hundred pounds now my foiling days are much more pleasurable with the kiss bar and UFOv2 kite some times I forget there a kite and bar in my hands and the crazy fly pocket foil board it’s so light and responsive it feels some times like iam hovering over water
