To me the Aluula Roam 3-Strut is the ultimate foiling kite. You get all the fast/light benefits of the 1-strut or no-strut, plus you have the superior power handling of a 3-strut. Easier to relaunch as well!
What do you think is a better for kiting on a twin-tip, a Cabrinha Contra 1S 9m or a Naish Pivot 9m? I spent some time on Aruba and it seems like these are most popular models
Is the sizing one-to-one between a single-strut and 3-strut? e.g. if I'd normally go out foiling on a 12m 3-strut, should I go with a 9m single-strut in the same conditions?
I foil on a 9m Airush Ultra down to 8 knots, typically no need for a kite larger than 9 or 10 meter for kitefoiling (unless you are using a ram-air kite). So to answer your question: buy a 9m airush ultra !
The more i see one strut reviews the more i sense a "Well one struts are supposed to suck on twintips, get overpowered easily, etc..." All until guys actually USE them and find out they're pretty darn good across the board
Thanks for calling us out, Jonathan. 🤙🏽 Naish kites are amazing. For some reason, we just don't get as many questions about them from our customers. It's a niche brand with a cult following of riders who already know what they want and don't seem to need much video content to help them with their decisions. Those who love Naish kites just seem to click through and buy them without asking us many questions. Good winds! -Aaron

For sure Kevin, some are more capable on twintips than others. Contra 1s, Ultra, ect... -Tucker
What size of Kite do you use at 8 - 15k ?
12m or 14m
9 meter LEI kite and hydrofoil. For twintip you need a massive kite in those windspeeds and it still won't be that fun.

Why don't you ever cover naish kites?
