10. I was 10 years old. What I would do to go back sitting in the living room in our pajamas after a bath with snacks and mom and dad together again while my two brothers and I settled in for the evening to Rudolf. Holiday specials were just that really... SPECIAL!! They always brought us together!
I was 8 years old in 1982 cause we watched Rudolph that night & one of my teachers in the 3rd grade recorded it on her vcr & brought it in for anybody who didn't get to see it at school the next day
I think this was either Wednesday December 8th or Wednesday December 15th of 1982 , all I remember was watching Rudolph that night with my sisters & the next day one of the 3rd grade teachers recorded it & brought in in the next day & played it before school started for anybody who didn't get to see it
you know what's funny? This was literally the first year I saw this cartoon. I was 6. I remember crying through a good deal of it and identifying with Rudolph so much so that I stayed up writing some long note to him for when Santa got there. My mom was not amused and made me go to bed before I was finished with it. Being a kid in the 80s was so magical, imo. Things are too commercialized nowadays. Too clean and sanitized.

That was pretty cool. I was surprised to see it was the Boston channel. I would have just turned 12 but I could have been watching.
