Aerts was much bigger than the other fighter .What surprised me most was the other fighter fell down cold and could have died but they were trying to take smiling photos What a cruel world we live in
The first time I seen Peter Aerts fight he was dwarfed and being manhandled by Badr. Since then I have taken in a few other of Peters fights and how he dwarfs and manhandles so many others and that he is nothing short of a beast himself. But that also says what kind of beast Badr was!
Everyone has bad fights from time to time, event the greats like Aerts, Hoost, Bonjasky, Schilt, etc.. On top of that in 2008 Hari was in his best form ever imho (before he started juicing to the gills in 2009 which made him much slower and using wild punches and going straight bananas on guys instead of being technical and fast and mobile), super fast, young, athletic, knockout power. Aerts is a slow starter and Hari is a very fast and explosive from the get-go and Hari caught Aerts very early in the fight with a straight right off a low kick Aerts threw and from there it was downhill. Still Aerts managed to bruise Hari's legs quite alot and that cost Hari in the later rounds. Also Aerts is one of if not the toughest mofo in K-1 (and in fighting in general) while Hari is kind off a glass cannon (probably due to his jaw being brutally broken very early in his career by Peter Graham in 2006) and both guys styles favored Hari in round 1 and Aerts from mid round 2 till the end. Aerts is a fighter that the longer the fight goes the stronger he gets (said multiple times by Ray Sefo and Ernesto Hoost), while Hari is quite the opposite. So even at that age if he warmed up and got going he would have done much better even if he still lost the fight. Aerts main weakness, even from the beginning of his career was vs strong, explosive and aggressive punchers like Mike Bernardo, Stefan Leko, Ray Sefo, Le banner. Although he beat them most of the time, he had problems with them and when he lost it was usually via a brutal KO (Bernardo, Le Banner). Hari is like a young taller version of them, maybe not the same amount of brutal power, but much faster and much longer reach. Thats my 2 cents. Cheers :)
@@kaboom362 Yeah, and there are many more like Hug, Greco, Cro Cop, Filho, Musashi and some newer ones like Ghita, Saki, even Overeem to some extents (although his stint was very short he did great fights). Too bad that the old K-1 doesnt exist anymore. Glory is trying, but its just isnt the same without such a great stable of fighters K-1 had back in the 90's and 00''s. Glory can't even gather enough fighters for a 8 man tournament.
Peter Aerts is on the top of my beloved fighters list, but I felt very bad for Nicholas Pettas. Nick is very tough and strong fighter, but that was a very bad knock-out.
It look so stupid seeing sometinhg like that in 2020. I was big a fan of K1 since early 2000 and still, but this kind of fights were Pettis more like middle weight fighter vs Peter who is heawy weight. It's really stupid.
Trying to axe kick a guy 6 for 4 when u are 6 feet tall is just a really bad idea. Lots of wasted energy by pettas. Peter just relaxed and then killed him.
Peter Aerts...my favorite k1 heavyweight fighter of all times.
Guys like Pettas, McDonald, Sponge, and Saki really deserved a cruiserweight class
Truuuuuuuth not even to speak of guys like Manhoef and kaoklai
It's amazing that Aerts really did stay to the very end. He dethroned Schilt at the very last K1 Grand Prix.
We should actually thank his coach for this KO. He shouted “now your right high kick”. 😎
Pettas did a great fight against the K-1 Legend, especially on the first round! He has awesome kick techniques!
The coach of Peter said "your right high kick!" at the end just before he executed the KO blow. Great coach with high fight IQ overal.

The Lumberjack is a beast!!!!
That's a life changing kick.
Real warriors with big hearts👍👊🏻

Aerts was pretty late in his career when he fought Badr too though.. so he's even more of a beast!

Badr was Juiced up and in his prime, Peter already old
These dudes are nasty with it. I love it!

Pettas gave a very good account of himself
Grande ídolo do esporte
From 2007 🇩🇰💪
More leather than the village people that's bloody awesome 🤣🙃😁😂🤯🇬🇷🏁
Legendary hightkick of the lumberjack
Such a cool guy, true legend
Que paulada no ouvidor de novela! Kkk
Nick was so much shorter than most of his oppponents.

Dude, I would love to see Nick go on Joe Rogan! They even kind of look alike in the younger years. lol.
Zo doen wij dat !!
Nick was kicked so hard he thought he was Isekai'd
Good effort tho haha
Fedt mand
Peter excelent lokick ;)

First!
