I love the classic artstyle of the Marvel characters in the early games, they feel right out the comics and they're so Iconic. I've only played this game twice and I wish they'd bring it to Switch. They should do a whole Marvel fighting game collection tbh

I can tell this is from mame 32 it’s not that great it’s either you buy the full arcade machine or buy one of the marvel Vs capcom arcade 1 ups the only games that works great on mame are games like Pac-Man galaga P.O.W. the but it plays well on Dreamcast no problem

Watching these Capcom fighting longplays inspired me to get the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection for my console. Cost me £21.99. When I bought Street Fighter 2 Turbo for my SNES back in the 90s it was £59.99 😄
I played this in the arcade , back in 1999 , when I was only 5 . The machine was so huge, it even had a seat . It was an one night only playthrough , but it will forever be on my memories. It was amazing. It was such a let down when I got it on the Playstation
I played this awesome game back in 1998, when I was travelling by ship to Crete. They had those "coin eaters" on the 2nd deck of the ship. Wonderful years!

Brings back memories... My squad on this game is War Machine and Chun-Li, by the way 😉

For a tocan which later became 2 than 2.5, i got caught by my aunt that i go to these shops to play and a girl should never do this 😂😂😂😂, but i never really listened to anyone i used to go than later i met big guy in the shop and he told me we can order CD for these games and than i cried out loud created a big scene for these video games, i pretended that i am lost but u was actually hiding on the small tank terris (mumti in India) than they later bought me CDs, going out for these games were very hard as a girl, small girl, 💕😂👌🏻😋
Only the characters’ themes remained the same. Everything else was apparently done using the Dreamcast’s internal sound chip or something of that effect. Don’t get why they did that.

these first marvel vs capcom games were much more inspired and fun than the recent ones

I have always loved playing this on my Dreamcast! I still play it to this day. My favorite pair is always Morrigan and Hulk.
This and Tekken 3 were the first two fighting games that I ever played as a kid. I get so many fond memories hearing the music and seeing this.
