    It's like a reverse Rollercoaster... all the big stuff happens In the second half for the ride and all the bunny hops are In front of it

    Looks like a super cool ride. It seems like a nice, long ride too.
    I like that track layout.
    Many coasters i see seem to short, and could be much longer , but this seemed to not want to end.
    Thanks

    It is a fun and smooth ride although I found Zadra or Hyperion to be more re-rideable. The first launch is more intense than the second even though it is shorter and it is a bit annoying that the second launch takes a moment before it actually kicks in. You do notice the trim at the top of the top hat quite a lot if you sit at the front of the train (you get some weird hangtime as you are going over the drop) although you don't notice the trim at all at the back of the train.
    The second half is very intense with a lot of both positive and negative Gs and feels like it is never going to end. It is incredibly smooth although there is something about the Vekoma track profiling/heartlining which always makes me feel a bit nauseous after getting off (had the same thing with Formula). I was always hesitant about running straight back round the queue for this whereas Zadra I just wanted more as soon as I got off the train.
    It is technically a family ride with a 1.2m height restriction which is a plus although I would say it is fairly intense for a family coaster.
    It looks like there were plans at some point to add a bit more theming around the trenches as you can see some steelwork so hopefully they get round to finishing that off eventually (should give some nice headchoppers).

      I was going to say, during the video, I was surprised by how long the second half was. It still had great pace, though, rather than dragging.

    • @maniamuse1319
      @maniamuse1319 Год назад +1

      @@trevorjensen2706 Yeah the 2nd half seems much longer than you can really see from off ride. Has a lot of airtime pops and quite strong positive Gs plus the inveersions. Even though it is a 1.2m height restriction I would say it might be a bit too intense for some younger riders even if they are tall enough.

    • @MrPatrickbuit
      @MrPatrickbuit Год назад

      My issue with Vekoma is definitely that they go far too hard on the positive Gs. I have the same exact experience with them that you do. Nausea and headaches. It was the exact same with Lech Coaster for me. Everyone loves that ride, but I can only ride it three or four times before I feel sick.

    • @maniamuse1319
      @maniamuse1319 Год назад +1

      The track profiling is ridiculously smooth but that might be part of the problem for the motion sickness for me (like I find being a passenger in a car with soft/boaty suspension is worse for motion sickness than being in one with firm suspension). I could easily re-ride Zadra or Hyperion more even though they were rougher and more aggressive rides.
      Also it is almost as if Vekoma want to eliminate all lateral forces on their rides and so really pushed the continuous roll on the transitions and curves. You can see from the pov how the roll in the curves starts gently but then rapidly (but smoothly) keeps continuously rolling into the highest G point whereas maybe on some other B&M/Intamin/Mack rides you get a slightly jerkier transition at the start and end of the curves and more time in the middle where you are not rolling. I felt the same thing from Formula even though that is a bit older and a shorter ride. Perhaps it helped them squeeze the ride into a smaller space with smaller radius curves. And plus it is a very long ride with sustained forces (the first section is basically a junior coaster). The 2nd half has a lot of positive Gs from the drop pullout/loop, batwing and then quite a few of those high positive G curves between elements. I think the coaster would have benefited from a straight section with a few small hills just to break up the positive Gs to let you catch your breath but maybe they didn't have space for that.
