Excellent interview! Two very modest, funny and engaging music legends - chatting as if they’re down the pub. Good to see Steve has his own radio show :-)
Thanks Gary for sticking up for the little guys! You've always know exactly how lucky you are, and survived despite significant difficulties. National treasure!
There's something about 70s British punk . Today they are so honest and tell you how it is, they don't care about political correctness or feelings.. something so genuine.. kinda like John Lydon.. tells you the truth even if it hurts your feelings
What a great interview that was. Different from the norm, very refreshing. Had to google the show, never seen/heard it before. Didn't realise it was Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols. Cool
Good to see Gary so relaxed, having a laugh and enjoying an interview. Very interesting in the wide range of subjects Steve brought in and how honest Gary dealt with everything and was happy to make light of a number of subjects including the way Jonesy reacted to the Aspergers moment. A great interview!
As someone who’s been through many rehabs with heroin addiction and I can totally hear in Jonesy’ the key words in his banter. Totally charmed by Gary’s vibe
Great Interview, thanks for sharing, Gary Numan is a legend, I've been a fan of his since I was 16 & I'm 53 now, looking forward to his live shows in England soon.
Two English men speak. Not of pride, but note there is no anger, just a gentle debate, with utter honesty. Just lovely. Helps me. My advice. If you understand this interview, the problems they both had, mentally. Buy the book, by Steve Jones, Lonely Boy. An education on how to slowly become normal, but not too much, as that would be a lie. Accepting. Thats it. By the way the book ends with one word. .....
10:30 Divide & Fear & Race been keeping the People in line - its takes a Charade to do so - simply said Wake Up !! Been PLANNING since the 1776 & beyond Rockefellers Rothschild Jonsey spittin truths - while Newman - putting up signs all over his Face - haa haa
Saddened to hear Gary Numan say that the decision on Brexit shouldn't be left to the man in the street. Isn't that what democracy is all about? Perhaps all that black hair dye has penetrated his skull and has seeped into his brain, with any luck.
@@dubskj01 because with EU and Britain makes deal and it is thousand pages of law jargon. Who common man understand or read that all? Gary says it is too complex and it is. But now Brexit happened so it doesnt matter anymore.
Jonesy's definitely more perceptive about the state of world affairs than he lets on. He makes out he's an uncultured yobbo but right back to the days of Grundy in 76 he showed he was on a different level of awareness than your average Joe just by openly showing his contempt for the British institution of mind control TV. He's just got that spirit that can instinctively see through bullshit and nasty unpleasant men in power but it's a British trait the establishment put in working class people not to voice and Jonesy always gives hints of his thinking processes but is reluctant to elaborate because a thinking working class Brit feels they've become middle class if they articulate it too well. The working class were taught to shut up and the middle class were allowed a voice as long they were idealistically neutered and diametrically opposed to the vulgar working classes politically, socially and most importantly intellectually. The old divide and conquer tactics observed by all power systems down the ages.
Depends upon what you are looking for. Yes, this Numan interview was a great talk between two interesting guys...but not much music was talked about. Jones does have music people on as guests so music should be somewhere in the discussion. But even without music, it was a great interview. I have been watching these Jones interviews and the best was the one with the two Simple Minds guys. The early punk days were really captured in some of the stories. Talk of Richard Jobson and Stuart Adamson and John McGeoch really painted a nice picture of those times.
Gary is such a smart dude. He really understands the industry and how music can really be utilized in today's market. I tell every one of my friends in the music industry, find ways to license your music instead of giving it away in publishing. How many new shows, movies, ads, and video streaming apps do you see nowadays? Its crazy and they all need original music!
It’s a really respectful and balanced discussion, I like how both listen and consider each other’s thoughts and respond to them. Take note internet. And I love how they trail talking about death, after the next song.
This is a fantastic interview Gary is a great interviewee very engaging and full of genuine banter. He could just tour and chat with the audience for an hour and everyone would feel well entertained.
What an amazing piece of film, stumbled across you by accident as guess many do. Based in Uk you are unique Jones’s. Watching all your vids now. Love it!
Gary Numan seems like such a cool guy. Really mellow and relaxed. Top interview. (Paul Gardiner, Cedric Sharpley R.I.P...) Please try to get Siouxsie, Steve Severin or Budgie (Siouxsie & The Banshees/The Creatures). Been out of the interview "spotlight" *_FAR_* too long. Mark Burgess (The Chameleons/Chameleons Vox) would be great as well (John Lever R.I.P...)...
Wow. Heard GN say his birthday is in March so I looked it up. He's 8th... mine is 7th lol (he's 12 years ahead though lol). Recently ran across new music by him and am blown away by it. Been scrolling interviews and he comes off as a really laid back guy. Really enjoyed this interview because it was more like running into an old friend and just catching up, talking old times and having a laugh.
Steve Jones is very self deprecating, but his interviews are a cut above most of the rest. He ends up having great conversations after relaxing the guests. He’s very skilled at this!
Even when he doesn't read up on some guests, they end up having a great conversation. It's like the mics aren't there and they're 2 guys in a bar having a convo.
Nice convo. A little bit different from what Gary usually is asked about, maybe. Maybe not all that different, but Gaz and Jonesy have got good banter. More Steve Jones and Gary Numan conversations, please.
been watching a few of these lately and this is one of the best - not so much an interview, just a great conversation between 2 mates and see where it goes - 'arse burgers' (with double onions)
Pubs are closing at a rate of knots why can't we bring back smoking and stop supermarkets selling booze *somehow. The pub was the centre of the community in my dads day he said during the 60s saturday night West London the pubs were full and always always there was a band on or a singalong on the piano. The pubs were nationalised during the war to keep the country going and they're dying on the arse.
Think this one is one of the best of Jonesy's interviews. There's no conversations like these at the minute. It's what the ordinary people are thinking but the media people are generally scared of upsetting those with the money, and it makes for boring, half-dead culture. Up Jonesy!
Love this interview love gorgeous Gary so much forever
Just discovered Jonesy's Jukebox. I feel i've discovered a huge treasure trove.
beautiful conversation..thanks
Gary seems a very talented, humble honest guy
Best interview ever!
Excellent interview! Two very modest, funny and engaging music legends - chatting as if they’re down the pub.
Good to see Steve has his own radio show :-)
Can't believe I'm just seeing this. I could listen to these two chatting for hours. One of the best interviews I've seen.
Normally I hate watching interviews but this is one really worth listening to. Some real life honest conversation.
Thanks Gary for sticking up for the little guys! You've always know exactly how lucky you are, and survived despite significant difficulties. National treasure!
This was great. Content and slant of the conversation seldom heard on mainstream media. Big ups to Steve and Gary.
OMG, such a great interview. Loved it.
Susan Stephens it is not all of them are 2 be fare Numan probably helps always good to listen to

The one and only Steve Jones. He's an LA dude now.
Welcome to the therapy session with Gary and Jonesy, I could genuinely listen to these two for hours
Such a honest interview from Gary.Such a genuine guy
Except for his hair.
😁🤓
Gary is down to earth, honest, humble and genuine, Jonesy too,

What a brilliant interview, Gary and Steve are superb
Hi been numanoid since 78 what an interview would you expect this

Great interview. I came for Gary Numan and stayed for the brilliant talk about 'life and stuff'.
love your work Gary absolutely fantastic performer and person!!

Fascinating chat
Great Interview with different topics Gary looks amazing! 😂 👍
You do know he's had lot's of cosmetic procedures?

I actually think that was probably the best interview in the Jonesy catalogue .. interesting and funny
the Paul Stanley one from the
other day was also one of the best ive seen
yeah it was good wasn't it?
top notch mate!

what a great interview!
Great Interview A " Perfect Combination Of " Both Profoundness And Lightheartedness " !!! From Adrian Browne 1965

love this so much..how those two can be so deep and so funny...
The best show on radio in the world ....
Yep
This is a fantastic interview Gary is a great interviewee very engaging and full of genuine banter. He could just tour and chat with the audience for an hour and everyone would feel well entertained.
Top blokes
Gary you ROCK!!
Interesting conversation and so honest from people who lived a life :-)
Probably the best interview Jonesy has done. Love Numan and Jones. Two icons in their field of music.
1 icon not 2
@@mummyd1990 Who's not a icon?
@@SynthJohn Numan.
@@mummyd1990 Really? The guy who brought electronic music into the mainstream?

Nice one Jonesy.Cool
Two of my favourite ever people Gary and Steve I love them so much they are both my influences
Another great interview - good to hear about Gary Numan's life & views. Seems like a nice geezer. Hey ho.
And a very interesting take on addiction & the 'addictive gene' (which I know I have). Great that Steve still goes to meetings. Good on him.
I remember tht song on the radio and there was a video of it before MTV.
Gazza Numan is a solid dude. Great interview guys. Thankyou both.

Nice convo. A little bit different from what Gary usually is asked about, maybe. Maybe not all that different, but Gaz and Jonesy have got good banter. More Steve Jones and Gary Numan conversations, please.
good to see two old muso's who are still relivent today
watched a few of Jonseyy' interviews recently and this is by far the best I've seen.
That was awesome. Thank you
Really enjoyed that - very unusual interview approach
I love Gary numan. Love love
Assburgers. That was so funny. Great interview. Very natural. I got addicted to it totally.
Still laughing at that. Classic 😂
"Cars" is one of the all time great songs.
A great interview! The truth always means treading on eggshells so well done them.
brilliant interview, would have loved more!
LOVE HIM😊😊😊😊 SO FUNNY IN REAL LIFE.
I'm at Bournemouth airshow right now
Where can I see the photo of them together in the snow on Grouse Mountain???!!
Good old Jonesy sure knows how to divert a statement. I've never learned less about Gary in any interview. Good stuff :)
the ultimate rock show. Please, more!
Fantastic interview one of his best he seemed very relaxed
Reminds me I need to listen to Gary. Gay HATES the record labels. He is HAPPY to be in charge of his music now. He thinks the new era is awesome
These are 2 very down to earth gents. I can remember hearing "Cars" for the first time early one Sunday morning while driving out to ride dirt bikes.
Great points raised by Jonesy there, thanks for uploading. Enjoyed as always
It's great the Gary has been able to turn lemons into lemonade. Creative types should be able to do that.
I love you Jonesy. Come back the world needs you.
Interesting
Very interesting take on radio and Record labels by Gary
Spot on about radio
Gary Newman very interesting
love both these guys

its Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols....! of course hes daring!
