It belongs in LA anyway. Home of Hollywood. This building is stunning and I can definitely imagine it taking off on it's first spaceflight. I would visit just for the building alone. It will have extremely good earthquake protection too. I love the roof, with half solar and half being a green space. I presume people will be able to walk over the grassy roof and enjoy the LA views.
LA was the third choice. SF was the original, but the SF City Council thought they had it on lock, so they started making stupid demands and Lucas walked.
This was bigger than Chicago cheapest!? We had lost the Olympics due to RUclips gang violence and the dominoes fell! The city would have benefit from the museum
It was supposed to be put at McCormick Place, the convention center, the old east building which has been closed for years. It would have been an edition to the existing museum campus. It would have brought plenty of jobs and tourism., but nooooooo!
Chicago definitely botched it big time... as many cities tend to do with things like this (I am from Seattle, its what we do) but I do think it will get more visits in LA, because people go their for that kind of experience, while people traveling to Chicago may be looking for other things to do.
Do you think LA did the right move?
My son, Luke, loves telling people he’s named after a character from my favorite movie franchise. My daughter, Chewbacca….not so much.
😂😂😂
I hope they place a statue of Rey Palpatine at the main entrance 💸🤣💸
😁
It doesn’t hurt that this is across the street from USC, which has the top ranked film school in the world, of which Lucas is an alum.
No thats good

Yes rejected by two cities!!
Wow Chicago was stupid.

This video was very informative, but the way you formatted the commentary makes it sound like one long 11:00 RUclips short, kind of throws it off.
What do you mean? You dont like the VoiceOver?
