I just began collecting this year, and of the 50+ bottles I have, Lucky is the only backup bottle I own. There's something about that fragrance that has captivated me and made me feel like I must have it!

Starting in December of 2022, I got into the fragrance community pretty heavily and now almost exactly 1 year later I own about 100 give or take. Niche, Designer, Clones and discontinued (pretty even split between Spring/Summer & Fall/Winter scents). I stopped drinking over 25 yrs ago, dont do drugs, strip clubs or have any other bad habits where I just throw away my money. At least you have not only something to show for your money, you can use it for years to come and enjoy it as can others around you. I will say though that I've put a self imposed ban on anymore. At least until I've gone through about half of what I have. Enjoy your collection!!!
I really like this channel, especially because it was really giving me an overview of the many designer fragrances out there. However, I really disagree here. Don't hoard, people! There is most likely a good reason why certain flankers or fragrances get discontinued (e.g., harmful ingredients). Yes, it sucks when you like this specific fragrance, but think about if you will ever use up those backup bottles. Also, chances are high that your taste changes over time and after some years you will sit on bottles upon bottles of frags you don't like anymore. Selling them is possible but can be quite tedious.
I dont care for any of the new 1 millions. They all smell similar to me. Lucky and Prive were really great releases they had a little of the 1 million dna but smelled unique and different.
I only have three backups. Dior Homme Parfum due to its difficulty in procuring and the fact its my favorite designer fragrance. Dior Homme Cologne because I wear it a lot after my evening shower on hot days, and Nio cause I got a great deal and its my favorite summer fragrance.
Any concern with the back up colognes expiring? Although it only happened 3 times to me with colognes over 10 yrs old, it still is a possibility which prevents me from stock piling…

Ultime is the one that I absolutely had to have a backup bottle of when discontinuation rumors started popping up a few years ago. Also, getting that Dior Homme Parfum was one of the most frustrating purchases I ever had to go through. I kept having it in my cart and got to the checkout and it would be sold out within those few moments between that. Finally got it after many, many attempts and restocks on fragrancebuy.
I have a 200 ml backup of Lucky & a 200 ml thats 60% full, a backup in box 100 ml tester of Xerjoff Alexandria II, a Dior Parfum backup with another bottle 99% full, 2 ADG Profumo's unused, a back up of SWY Absolutely, 2 full Bleu Electrique's, a 100 ML and a 2 oz (also 2 Jack of Clubs), a backup of Wanted by Night, a back up of Guerlain Ideal Extreme, a back up of JPG Elixir (only the 2.5 oz was available & once I smelled it I had to get the 4.2) & what I consider my luckiest find ever in a Brick & Mortar perfume shop in NYC, I found 2 in box testers of 1 Million Prive. I got the first one for $80 & when he found a 2nd one, I paid $85. This was like April 2023, well after it had been discontinued. It is as Dallas says, probably the best from the brand. I have about 100 bottles in total.
A couple of years ago I begged the lady at the counter in my local Belk to sell me the 3 bottles they have left but they were all testers so she couldn’t 😢😂😂
Yeah I'm definitely gonna be getting a backup bottle of that ASAP. Got a smaller bottle of it a couple years back and hoping to get the 3.4oz for a more reasonable price than $157. Maybe I'll just get another smaller bottle and that'll equal out to about the same amount of the fragrance as the bigger bottle with the two
I have the worst luck when it comes to fragrances. All of my faves get discontinued... First love Gucci Rush, second love Valentino V pour homme, latest love Le nuit del home Blue Electrique, all of them discontinued. I hope Lucky doesn't go out the same way. 😢😢
I have 100 ml of bleu électrique, and I can confirm jack of clubs is so close it's almost mind blowing. Also for Valentino V look for rasasi daarej, also super close, but not my personal fav.
I wish they didn't discontinue paco rabanne 1 million prive. If anyone knows of a clone of it I'd appreciate it. It was definitely my favorite fall fragrance
If I could go back in time I would have stocked up on Bvlgari Black (just black, not man in black). It’s impossible to find for a fair price anymore, but one of my all time favorite fragrances. I only purchased one bottle in 2015, and I only have a couple sprays left. 😢
How does it compare to Man In Black? Bvlgari was just on my peripheral awareness back then. Sampled a few of their blue fragrances in store but never saw Black or anything like that. I was all about the bigger, more mainstream brands and fragrances back then, unfortunately.
@@JamesGrindstaff-z5h Bvlgari Black is a lot different than man in black. Bvlgari Black smells like a leather jacket mixed with motorcycle tires and a powdery vanilla. It smells mysterious, but alluring. I’ve heard Angelina Jolie wore it as her signature scent even though it was marketed towards men. It definitely fits her dark and sensual vibe. Smells like a true badass, the quiet one in the corner that doesn’t show off and still gets the girl.
Back up bottles: no. Think of all the great fragrances in the years ahead that I won't have enough days in the year to enjoy and all the ones that sit on my shelf that I'll never finish.

I just bought a backup bottle of Drakkar Noir 200 mil. Drakkar is still awesome. I did buy a backup bottle of Givenchy Gentlemen Only.
