You don’t need to press both buttons in... you only need to press the right hand side one, turn ignition and let it count down to zero...

What is it supposed to be the number above the miles? Where it says “00”

that calculates how many miles you do every time you use the car, and you can the reset it. some people use it to see how many miles they do every week or to fill the tank with fuel, etc..

fun fact is that you have it at 20000 but those are kilometers, not miles..

It’s 20k Miles, or 30k km! This is regular setup, you can only change that with a diagnostic program.
Either way it works. My advice is only to use this after you’ve done the maintenance as well.
