This is like the 8th Spectravox video I've watched, and the first one that really makes it make sense. It's amazing how much you can get out of it with simple patches.
Hey Emily Hopkins amazing composer and Russ awesome audio engineer! I remember when I was a kid and Moog was pretty much the only one in the synthesizer game! It would have taken whole room to fit everything required to do what the Spectravox does! Ride ride ride!
That drone had me making faces. So it can "spectral shift" but can it "spectral rotate"? JK that's more of a DSP thing. This whole demo was super amazing. Thank you! I hope the Moog employees who recently experienced capitalism in its true form land somewhere special and good.
This is the first Moog video in weeks of watching various ones that made me understand what’s actually going on. All the others were just spooky alien whale noises mixed with dying modems
GREAT to see you! And excellent content. This piece has the beautiful, lush Moog filters.. Thinking about pairing it with the Pittsburgh MODULAR Voltage Lab 2. Thx for this, Em.
This video really helps explain this fun little beast, thank you for a concise and easily understood demo! I have the DFAM and Subharmonicon bundle, but the Sub is a pretty odd thing, and I wasn’t quite sure what to do with it. But Spectravox looks like it could be the thing I needed.
OK Em or "Harp-Lady"!. You or Russ has to have s degree's in Ectronic Engineering or something and I know most folks are lost by 2 minutes in 😂 but I find it amazing!! Being a Industrial Electrician and A 50 years in Music recording and such a Kool way to play,!! Hope all goes well ❤️🩹 with Surgery 🙏❤️🫂Take Care 🤘🎸🤠
That was pretty Moogy feeling, love that, very 420 sounds for me. Glad to see Grimace again😉, why is there no croc emoji, you would think they deserve one.
Emily! If you tweak the Afterneath module just right and use the send return inputs/outputs, you can make the module as a standalone feedback oscillator!
Liked that a lot, speaking as someone that's done a lot of TV music myself you should get working in that field. Its got loads of character your stuff that works well today. :)
I’ve seen synths and guitars through vocoders, but a harp is new to me! Sounds great! Edit: whoa, the harp sounded like a choir in some of the more advanced demos 🤯 BTW, I’m glad you decided to keep the half-and-half hair colour 😊 I thought it suited you as soon as I saw it! But I didn’t want to tell you to keep it or anything back then, because no woman needs that kind of public pressure over her fashion. But I do really enjoy it ☺️
The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie the Game for a PlayStation 2. I honestly imagined that indie game Carrion or something similar though. That moog added hella tension and anxiety to it.
Did your harp get dropped in the ocean at 3:10? Beautiful sound...With the noise added in, almost creates like a shimmer to the reverb. It feels to me this is so uch better for the filtering effects you can get than the vocoder (more sweet spots). This is def getting added to my Moog set-up...
Its somewhat of a novelty to me. I could never reconcile the cost, for me personally. I would never use it in my work. But that being said, its kinda neat! Nice music, Emily
I bought a Moog Spectravox and an Instruo DivKid Ochd today ... I BLAME YOU !!! lol :P OH and why is it so hard to find a Powered 60 HP Moog Eurorack case ? ... Still on the hunt :/
This demo is really cool, and I mainly use a modular system. From what I know, all of these Moog Modulars require some kind of adapter to track the v/oct accurately (like the Erica Pico MScale), yet I never see anyone in the demos using one. Are these Moogs able to be fully integrated into a modular scheme without that 3hp module?
In recent years, Moog has really cornered the market in "this is really stupid, I don't get this thing at all, what the hell is it... ....WHY DO I REALLY WANT IT"
What do you think about possibly being called Pedal Lady (I haven't heard anyone saying that, but I feel like you really just use your harp to talk about pedals)? (I was tempted to spell it petal)
@9.49 thought the next shot of that synth would just be a big pile of plastic keys scattered around your feet! Don't try doing that trick with the harp otherwise your foot will never forgive you.
what about the vocoder? how does it sound? what you can do with it? how can you do a video about a synth that is based on a vocoder and not show it at all? wasted opportunity or just or it's just total crap? anyway i would appreciate a complete review.
i showed the vocoder on voice and with drums through it. theres not really much to it. there are plenty of other videos on spectravox that you can look up
Thank you Harp Lady for your harply services.
This is like the 8th Spectravox video I've watched, and the first one that really makes it make sense. It's amazing how much you can get out of it with simple patches.
thank you so much!

Ride ride ride!
The foot blur killed me

RIP
the layers add so much space!
I LOVE the patch with the Mod Synth. That could be a jam all on its own!
Excellent demo! I appreciate how musical you guys made everything sound
That drone had me making faces. So it can "spectral shift" but can it "spectral rotate"? JK that's more of a DSP thing. This whole demo was super amazing.
Thank you! I hope the Moog employees who recently experienced capitalism in its true form land somewhere special and good.
If the quality is there capitalism will pay dividends
Amazing review and great demos! Thank you!
So cool. Best spectravox video. Sounds lush going with harp.
So rad! The creepy part and the modular ending sounded sooooo good!!!
Now this is epic
I came for Harp Lady. So disappointed.
Can't wait for you two to collab
First Moog product I've wanted in a while!! Looks great!!
I really liked this demo! It seemed more in depth and explorative
This is the first Moog video in weeks of watching various ones that made me understand what’s actually going on. All the others were just spooky alien whale noises mixed with dying modems
I had decided I didn't need this, then you harped on and on about how great it is. Now I gotta get one!
Always love some new content from Moog Lady! Ps it sounds super cool
another brilliant presentation by Harp Lady and R.U.S.S.
just need a review of the Subharmonicon, too!!!!!!!
Thanks so much! I need a subharmonicon!!
GREAT to see you! And excellent content. This piece has the beautiful, lush Moog filters.. Thinking about pairing it with the Pittsburgh MODULAR Voltage Lab 2. Thx for this, Em.
brilliant work demonstrating this musically
Absolutely divine video - as always! Love what you do 😊

Holy fuck that DFAM + harp jam is so good.
Love that jumper.
7:53 this gives off Kraftwerk vibes so hard.
Great video! Loved the synth patch at 8:26!
Thanks so much!
11:12 - 12:18 is such an effective soundscape, makes me wish you composed music for Doctor Who.
That was pretty Moogy feeling, love that, very 420 sounds for me. Glad to see Grimace again😉, why is there no croc emoji, you would think they deserve one.
Oh how I have waited for this day to arrive 😍
Better than their launch video yoooo! 🧨
Sick. Some of those demos went super dark. Love it.
Great demo… also nice breadth of uses.
Roses are red, violets are blue, the harp lady rocks but the synth lady does too! 😁🧀🐀
Get well soon!

Hi Emily, good afternoon, congratulations by your video, cheers and have week for you and your partner as always!!!!!!!!
You are awesome! I'm a new subscriber and I will definetly be following you!
I liked when it went "bee boo! weewoo wabababababa!" Synths are cool.
Yoooooo that radioshack adapter tho 🔥🔥🔥
Really great video thanks

Based Harp Lady and her very cool synth demo
absolutely brilliant 🙏🏾👌🏾❣️
you actually named it harp lady
Beautiful
Not playing Moog City on a Moog was such a miss:') but the final sample was kinda metal ngl
This made me want to buy a Vongon Replay
The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie the Game for a PlayStation 2.
I honestly imagined that indie game Carrion or something similar though. That moog added hella tension and anxiety to it.
Such a fun time, I adore this video!
That von gond gone is amazing
Dang I will have the same set-up after I get my Spectravox on Saturday! Would be great if you guys could share patch routing.
Nice demo 👏🏻

You are cool af...Awesome review💯 Thank you!
Blurred out those toes lmao
I love rainbow spaghetti
Its somewhat of a novelty to me. I could never reconcile the cost, for me personally. I would never use it in my work. But that being said, its kinda neat! Nice music, Emily
8:00 flying through the galaxies.
Hot damn that was cool
And it costs a quarter of some of the mooger fooger pedals.
These look like: Moog, by Behringer.
Great stuff!
so good!
I bought a Moog Spectravox and an Instruo DivKid Ochd today ... I BLAME YOU !!! lol :P OH and why is it so hard to find a Powered 60 HP Moog Eurorack case ? ... Still on the hunt :/

I'm scared! this is sick!
Great
where did the, ahem, mushrooms go?
I hope MOOG is giving you a kickback. I bought one.
Idk if you mentioned it in the video, but what is the white midi keyboard that you're using?
It looks really cool!
Is it Russ or Ross? Moog the original, now improved, thanks for the review!
This is my favorite anime.
🧉🦄
In recent years, Moog has really cornered the market in "this is really stupid, I don't get this thing at all, what the hell is it... ....WHY DO I REALLY WANT IT"
That was cool! As a music layman I understood none of it but I enjoyed the sounds.
I want that 😍
Hell yeah Harp Lady
What do you think about possibly being called Pedal Lady (I haven't heard anyone saying that, but I feel like you really just use your harp to talk about pedals)? (I was tempted to spell it petal)
Watching this makes me feel like I need to buy a 3rd DFAM 🤣
I built the Moogfest version. The band knobs are just level or attenuvetors?
Both.
What do Fart & Miku sound like through that?
hello hello, Carp Lady & Russty Guy
:russpog:
Also, 3:50 ❤❤❤
Will a certain Labyrinth be on its way to you too?
@9.49 thought the next shot of that synth would just be a big pile of plastic keys scattered around your feet! Don't try doing that trick with the harp otherwise your foot will never forgive you.
Is this similar to a moogerfooger MURF in a way??
There’s definitely some overlap!
what about the vocoder? how does it sound? what you can do with it? how can you do a video about a synth that is based on a vocoder and not show it at all? wasted opportunity or just or it's just total crap? anyway i would appreciate a complete review.

Darn i was kinda thinking i wasn't gonna spend 1000 dollars on a synth today.
can you actually bit crush if you're analog though, i think it's just distorted ring mod
It’s not technically sample rate reduction but it sounds a bit like it
That two-tone hair-do screams LGBTQIA+
hell yeah brother
hi harp lady! what did you do with Em?
Ooof, raw modulation straight from Ochd, no attenuators.
Dirty.
Sorry reap time watching
New channel name? Lol
Did Vongon pay you so much money that you feel guilty when it's not in a video? I kid I kid. Also, I fully understand.
no i just like it
I thought you don't want to be called harp lady.
All this was done in the early 1970s though...
Cool story
Lol its gunna fall thats what i would say
Behringer On Standby
