This is my machine and I bought it for all the same reasons you mentioned. I absolutely love it. The 2 bar of steam pressure is awesome but people who only do small amounts of milk or who are still learning microfoaming techniques may be better off with the lesser 1.5bar setting. If you're not quick enough...2 bar can heat the milk up too much before you've even got the air into the mix that you need. That's my advice for newbies that buy the machine. Of course if you're confident and know what you're doing...crank it to 2 bar straight away. One last tip aswell....upgrade the steam tip to a 4 hole unit. The 2 hole one leaves a bit to be desired.
Noel F Good points. I use a thermometer every couple of weeks to re-calibrate my “touch” on the sides while steaming. I’ve been wondering why I cannot get a consistent microfoam: it’s either warm thin milk or nice foam and a rare silky microfoam. Coincidentally I just placed the order for the 4 hole tip. I don’t know why it is not standard. Aside from that, I am quite satisfied with the Synchronika.
I have my Synchronika now for 2 weeks and love it. I agree with your comment regarding the steam wand tip. I'm going to replace it with a 4 hole unit to improve performance. Everything else about the machine is perfect👌
@@louisescudieri9505 Use Linea Mini 4 hole tip on it and remove the teflon tube from the steam arm, but you will lose the No Burn feature. In turns you wil get stronger and drier steam comparable to the Linea Mini.
Got this machine more than a year ago, in part due to this video. It’s a tank. Performs excellently and I plan on continuing to love it for years to come.
Please clarify - Is it not possible to pre-infuse when the machine is using the internal reservoir by partly lifting the brew lever? Not much good if you can't. What is the machine height with the reservoir door open - no good if it can't comfortably open under normal height kitchen cupboards.
Great videos and great service from Clive Coffee having contacted them for the first time yesterday regarding a purchase of an expresso machine and grinder. Sean was super helpful. Thank you. Looking forward to making my first purchase with you.
Did I understand correctly that to be able to do a pre-infusion the machine must be plumbed in? Does it mean that it is not possible to do it using the reservoir? Many thanks

the steel arm of the steam wand has come a little loose and shakes. any tips on how to tighten it up? I also have small drops come out of the hot water wand - only noticeable if I don't put it over the drip tray
Hi there! Simple to fix the issues mentioned. The loose steam arm can be tightened from the nut that attached to the back of the front panel, you'll just have to take off the top panel to access this. As for the leaking hot water wand, you'll need to replace the joystick seal gasket which we have on our website here: clivecoffee.com/products/joystick-seal-gasket Hope this helps! Some E61 machines with a brew lever will be able to release a little water without pressure when you lift the lever a little more than half way up but it's inconsistent and unpredictable. You need line pressure to get true pre-infusion with an E61 group.

@ 1:00 - “it’s our tech teams favorite machine to work on.” I know he’s referring to the design and build quality of ECM but comments like that always make me nervous with a machine at that price point! Lol
Dont fall for the hype people. These machines will break down. I have had experiences with enough of them to know. Yes, that was an odd response to such a "great" machine.
I realize I'm responding to a year old demo but the market is glutted with these prosumer units whether HX or DBL Boiler. I had a Rocket used well cared for and after a year of bliss it went on a rampage from electrics to lever which is an inherent prob with it, turns out.
