- This weekend I attended my first ever "Vintage", not only the largest, but also undeniably the best vintage BMW show in the United States. Hosted in the beautiful Hot Springs North Carolina. Follow friends and I along as we journey to the event in my S52 E34 and then tour through the sea of classic BMWs from E30s to E12s to E28s to 2002s to E9s to 60+ E34s and more, meeting some of the best people the BMW community has to offer! Yep was just thinking where’s the drone pic! Yep!! Just wish it was all e30’s that’s me in my 50’s they are all great before the w2k reboot! After is a wallet nightmare!! Still great if you have the $$$ but they all look the same!! Classics will always look like what they are! Great!!!

Awesome display of the best BMW'S. I'll never get to see that in Puerto Rico cause old BMW'S like that are but extint on these roads. Finally found an 535i manual after 3 years looking. Have to move back to US.

The Reseda green E12 at 33 mins is as sweet AF.
The M51 is indeed a tractor engine but it's not M21 based - the M21 was based on an M20 2.0 block. The M51 block(iron) has the bore spacing/architecture of the M40 M42. It's not a bad old lump but it's best replaced by an M57. Tuned M51's like to chuck a rod thru the block if too highly tuned.

You should come to Lime Rock in CT Labor Day Wknd for the Vintage Festival. One of the biggest BMW turnouts and other amazing cars in the northeast. Vintage at Saratoga is the largest vintage BMW gatherings in the northeast in the fall. 12 hrs from Chicago.

Your groupies following you around while filming was pretty funny to watch but at @15:55 they are ACT/Ronal-SC 3 piece wheels and my e34 is Island Green not Oxford 😁. Honestly it was great meeting you and Hunter, let's plan the same thing for next year.

Messed up the pinion bearings when doing the seal, replaced them to be safe, will be included in my Alpina refurb video

Curious why the E39 is not considered "vintage enough" to be invited to participate. My 1999 540iT is 25 years old. That's a classic in my book.
Although other models may be classics as well, to participate in the show it must be OBDI
The show sells out every year as it is, so allowing newer cars is kinda pointless. The event was started to celebrate 60’s, 70’s and 80’s cars and only started allowing some 90’s cars in the last few years.
You’re always welcome to come and park in the spectator lot across the street and enjoy the show

There were four “normal” e12s in attendance! I got some drone footage of them in my video. There was also an e12 m535i - very awesome

@@m3nameisjosh464 i own 1975 E12 with bbs frontspoiler and with some rare 9.5j RH mesh wheels i wil drive a 200 mile trip with it tomorrow, engine is from E3 3.0si but with dual Zeniths and smidemann headers 😎
