Well, unlike this past year, where we got transfers and very few were starters, a lot of the transfers were full time starters this year, so for 2025 we have players that are good and experienced and were starters on their respective teams the year before. I think 25 will be better outside of the first game but again, as long as we're competitive and everything that should be important going forward. If we can possibly get to 8-4 that would be good enough for mike to stay another year and 26 will be really good
As an fsu fan/student too I completely agree with everything you said in this video. Ironically I was also visiting my friends that go to Notre Dame the weekend that Jordan Travis got hurt
As a Nole fan, I’m devastated and tired. With this past season being so terrible was an extra kick in the mud after being humiliated with the ending of the 23’ season. I feel like the sport has left me broken and dead inside.
Georgia fan here. The sad reality about the 1 in that 13-1 season is that Georgia felt robbed by the committee as well and nobody gets away with disrespecting Kirby Smart so FSU became the victim of his unbridled rage. Still, 2023 FSU didn't deserve the fate they got. I still feel like they were robbed.
Yeah I remember that leading up to the game. At the same time that all our players were opting out I kept seeing stuff about all of Georgias players intending to play. Knew we were gonna get crushed.
@@PatriotMapper perfect example of the difference between the two programs. one buckled down and the other gave up. FSU's bitterness must have rolled over to the next season too. hell of a culture that Norvel is building down there...
@@PatriotMapperyeah uga thought they earned it fsu actually proved they earned it. Big difference. Fsu overcame the qb injury winning three games by at least 2 scores each, uga showed they couldn’t do that this year
But there was no controversy over whether or not Miami deserved to be in the playoffs. I didn't think so. So many of us fans knew that the defense was a problem. @@YoungMoneySports and the FSU starters wouldn’t have been able to take Michigan to overtime like Bama did even with Travis. They were a great team and should have been put in the playoff but they had no shot at winning the national championship, they just didn’t have a good enough team.
Thanks for breaking down the hopefully forgotten Georgia game. Even though people made fun of us, anyone with a brain would realize that we lost so many star players. Everything about last season’s cfbp was subjective
And in my opinion, georgia would be on that discussion topic this year, but because stockton came in and did moderately good to great for georgia and georgia won the game georgia deserve to be in the playoff, but if stockton came in and did terrible and threw 1 or 2 picks and georgia lost, then the committee would say georgia is not the same team and they would be left out.
At the end of the day, it’s still a business. And the committee made a business decision. They saw how tcu got blown out the previous year, and that’s not a good look for the business of the game. The committee did not want to risk that. So your IRE SHOULD be towards tcu. Even if TCU keeps it close for a half, and then Georgia pulls away in the second half I think Florida State gets in the playoff.
See I’ve never gotten that argument. TCU beat Michigan to make it to the Natty. It ain’t like they were a 1 and done. TCU showed that those kind of schools can beat the big schools.
@ occasionally you have an upset , but cmon let’s be real, tcu never had a chance against uga . But let’s just say , uga beats tcu 41-24, and uga just pulled away, I think the committee sees that and said, Ok fsu may a different team w/o Jordan Travis, but hey they may compete
I think Travis being out was always gonna keep them out. They would’ve had to absolutely smoke Louisville for them to get in over Bama. I’ve got more ire towards Auburn than TCU honestly. If they don’t give up a 4th and 31 Bama isn’t even in the conversation.
Alabama over fsu for that last playoff spot absolutely was the right call. That fsu team was nothing without Jordan Travis and barely was winning with him against a soft acc schedule. FSU didnt deserve to make the playoff. Bama keeping it extremely close against Michigan is proof of that. No surprise fsu was absolute trash this past year
I told my friend who’s a FSU fan after the UGA game that they were going to be terrible this season. He looked at me like I was stupid. But what I saw from that game against UGA was that’s your team next year. Those are the future starters and they couldn’t even be competitive in bowl game.
there is no way in hell that they should’ve made the playoffs they lose they’re quarterback and everybody knew that they weren’t the same and it was shown when they beat a fraudulent louisville team that played absolutely no one all year and had a 10-2 record for a reason. no way in hell that the nols would’ve put a better fight then bama against the wolverines or even beat them the committee was entirely correct
Man our team last year was special and I’ll always say we got snubbed. 2014 Ohio state won with a third string qb and we did the same thing allowed 6 points in the championship game and bummy Alabama makes it
FSU having a 55th sos compared to a 5th sos is what made the difference, if you don’t want to play competition then don’t expect to get treated like you did
Watching this makes it seem like the 2023 season was a lifetime ago. Hopefully the Noles can get back to being a contender next season.

But respect for Jordan Travis

This is insane how Miami had a very similar season this year as the 2023 FSU team, close games, crazy shenanigans, and missed playoffs
