Lesson on Yellow Fever: Causes, Pathogenesis, Stages of Infection, Symptoms, Diagnosis and Management. Yellow Fever is a hemorrhagic fever due to an infection with a virus of the Flaviviridae family. This type of virus is transmitted by certain mosquito species, dependent on geographic location. During infection, a certain set of stages occurs, with very significant and debilitating symptoms occurring in the last stage of infection. Diagnosis of Yellow fever occurs through laboratory investigations and management of Yellow Fever is a difficult process that is often done in an intensive care setting.

I had it through mosquitoes during some African country visit. Eyes were yellow, liver enlarged, cold for weeks, when I use the toilet it looks like foams. I thought it was ice cream. Scary experience

Hello just few doubts. Intoxication period ( 3rd to 6 th day after onset of infection what does it mean becoz in yellow fever incubation time is 3 - 6 days. So I think u meant intoxication period is 3-4 days after appear of first infection symptoms

bumps is just your skin being inflamed due to the mosquitos saliva. if you're in subsaharan africa or south america, make sure to be vaccinated to all sorts of arboviruses and malaria.
