- A small cast of 6 musicians from the WDR BIG BAND plays "On Green Dolphin Street" by composer Bronislaw Kaper. Recorded in June 2020 at the WDR Studio Bocklemünd. Performing are Andy Haderer on trumpet, Ludwig Nuss on trombone, Paul Heller on tenor saxophone, Hans Dekker on drums, John Goldsby on bass and Billy Test on Hammond organ.

Great version of this wonderful jazz standard. I enjoyed all of the solos.
Great rendition of a great tune!
Kudos to the set designer. I came of age in the late sixties. That is exactly how night club interiors looked. The ambience is spot on with the colors, the lights, the minimalist modern look. Very mid-century interior.

60’s TV studio recordings revisited! The ampel space between the players. Quirky lights...Only the suits and b&w is missing..Herr Krachten thought this out well because the players are all shining! Especially Ludwig, Andy and Billy seem to be loosening up, relatively. This is the mood where the musicians in the sixties went for the ‘after sessions’ down town, i can imagine...Well done

Andy Haderer est un trompettiste que j'adore (comme tous les musiciens de WDR Big Band d'ailleurs) mais il a de la classe comme on dit chez nous! Décor de scène très original bravo!
