I've been a Babymetal Fanatic for over 3 years. I've spent a ridiculous amount of time watching Babymetal reviewers to see how others connect with my favorite band. Today, I discovered your channel late into the night, and binged watched your journey to this point. I can safely say, you are one of the best reactors I've ever seen. That performance was incorporated with unfinished version partially and fighting choreo by 2 muscle sisters as they did in 2018 dark side shows. Honestly I can not remember clearly what I saw and what I heard because it was too surprising and too mesmerizing. I have to confirm it in the streaming program scheduled on June 26 (Japan time). There is a certain thing, however. I felt celestial bliss at the venue.

The ""Unfinished Akatsuki" is my favorite version. You already know the themes of sacrifice and lasting love in the song and now consider that this performance comes between the manic energy of "Headbanger" and the insanity of the "Babymetal DEATH" finale. Su starts the song from the same position on the platform as she finished Headbanger. Its a great trilogy of songs that takes Su from schoolgirl to rebirth as a metal goddess...yeah I know, just go with it. This performance also shows off Su's experience in musical theater and ability to emote and communicate with the audience and remember, she's just turned 16 here.

Yes that artwork is fantastic! Being quiet to this version is a reaction in itself, completely understandable, possibly even expected. It's that powerful. There was one song that was not brought out or performed live because she was not ready and did not get the emotional impact of how to perform the song until later... I’m sure it will be revealed but yeah this was emotional to the point where Sue wasn’t sure she could do the unfinished version justice. Hey everyone’s got their taste, if we’re talking replays, I would replay the finished version more often just because it’s more upbeat and that’s generally what I like. But when I’m feeling introspective or wanting something a bit more emotional, this will definitely be what I turn to.
The artwork and narration in the beginning is a Babymetal staple- an ongoing and charmingly ridiculous story (or lore) referred to as "kamishibai". Each of their "Legend" level concerts have several different kamishibai. These are usually cut from the youtube versions of the songs so reacters don't see them often. One of my favorites is the kamishibai before the song "Onedari Daisakusen" at the Legend 1997 show (the same as this one). Now the crimson moon is burning out with SU-METAL. She then sings Akatsuki unfinished, which is followed by the Kamishibai that precedes Babymetal Death.... Legend One-Nine-Nine-Seven It is the story that, receiving the legendary corset from the god of Metal, she abandons being human and shall be reborn as a goddess. The gene which has been determined from ancient time is destined to be guided, boarding on the ark of time. The apocalypse prophesied the DOOMSDAY. Towards it, there remains little time At which point the opening salvos of Babymetal Death melts faces and Su is crucified.
I'm not the biggest fan of this version of the song, but it is really a showcase of Su's greatness and explains of why Babymetal is the first japanese band to ever become a world phenomenon by itself. 16 years old Su still didn't have the vocal technique that she has today or that worldwide international singers have, but she had something unique, and that was the interpretative emotion she was already capable of instill to her performances. Nonetheless she had been an actress since she was eight years old. And she has not stopped to improve until today, because she is a hard working and diligent lady.
You said it so well, her ability to express with her voice and inflections really took her singing technique to a level beyond her years. I really can’t wait to hear a recent performance of this to hear how she handles the song with her more mature and mastered vocal technique

It is a shame that whoever uploaded that video got the sound out of sync, not your fault I have seen the same version used by another reactor and it was like that as well. The artwork and narration in the beginning is a Babymetal staple- an ongoing and charmingly ridiculous story (or lore) referred to as "kamishibai". Each of their "Legend" level concerts have several different kamishibai. These are usually cut from the youtube versions of the songs so reacters don't see them often. One of my favorites is the kamishibai before the song "Onedari Daisakusen" at the Legend 1997 show (the same as this one). It is sublimely bonkers and Yui & Moa are at peak kawaii-ness during the song itself.

Great reaction! For me it's the second most emotional performance by Su. Only topped by her singing "No Rain No Rainbow" at the Legend S concert in her hometown Hiroshima. I hope you'll react to that one as well!🦊🤘

In order to defned the soul of Metal, in exchange for her own life, SU-METAL fought.
Before long, SU-METAL's soul became the crimson flame, and dyed the sky red.

She then sings Akatsuki unfinished, which is followed by the Kamishibai that precedes Babymetal Death....

At which point the opening salvos of Babymetal Death melts faces and Su is crucified.
I'm not the biggest fan of this version of the song, but it is really a showcase of Su's greatness and explains of why Babymetal is the first japanese band to ever become a world phenomenon by itself. 16 years old Su still didn't have the vocal technique that she has today or that worldwide international singers have, but she had something unique, and that was the interpretative emotion she was already capable of instill to her performances. Nonetheless she had been an actress since she was eight years old. And she has not stopped to improve until today, because she is a hard working and diligent lady.
You said it so well, her ability to express with her voice and inflections really took her singing technique to a level beyond her years. I really can’t wait to hear a recent performance of this to hear how she handles the song with her more mature and mastered vocal technique

Talking about The One, it seems there's a fuzzy issue about last message at Budokan live concert, wich for me mislead the real future of the group, it reads like this:

It was said many times by the girls the they want to continue with the band/group, they're gonna have a livestream announced by mid year (26/6) and KobaMetal leaked 4th album is on production, also the hint about _Stairway To Living Legend_ and previous reference about "next chapter" was said throughtout the live concerts and special interviews many times so i don't get the fuzzy but anyway, whatever it comes it'll be good for me T_T

At their recent Budokan shows Babymetal performed Akatsuki again. A mix of both versions of the song. You can really hear how much Su’s voice has matured.

It is a shame that whoever uploaded that video got the sound out of sync, not your fault I have seen the same version used by another reactor and it was like that as well. But yeah really beautiful, it would be awesome to see her do another song like that or maybe this one again to see how much better she can do it now she is older and has even more control
