The youngest now is 16 months old and finally starting to work. Opposite ends of the spectrum.
In my opinion - Genetics plays a major role . The puppy I bought from Han’s - Every trainer looked at Him and said He would be easy to train . They could see His Drives would make it rather easy to work with !!! Han’s sells The Best Imported German Shepherds !!!

Hans is SO CORRECT !!! I bought My GS puppy from Han’s , at the start of 2007 , and trainers told Me to start protection training at 1 year old . Even though I felt The Dog could have started at 8 months old . But now a days - trainers feel you can start protection at 6 to 8 months old !!!
It’s doesn’t take 10 sessions with one of Han’s imported German Shepherds . The dog we bought from Han’s - looked like He was trained before We bought Him . The trainer cracked the whip and this Dog was ready to go from the start . Amazing Genetics !!!

Sounds like I've been training my dog protection work from 14 weeks without knowing i was. He now at a year and a half just stares at people rarely has to bark and people walk away quickly

hi hans, can you talk about feeding raw properly? i used to just feed raw but i just fed without any ratios, knowledge or thought until the internet said there's an actual science and thought behind it so i went to using kibble instead. prior to all that, honestly speaking i've never had a problem feeding raw even though i was just winging it?
