No. Su is definitely NOT screaming. That's a backing track. They've been performing this song for over 10 years and the scream sounds exactly the same. The only song that Su actually screams in is Headbanger. When Su screams it's a higher pitched scream. Momo on the other hand could do it.
Leaving the room three times really is testament to how much you enjoyed this track. 😀 This was the BabyMetal song that made me a BabyMetal fan all those years ago. Watching the then girls, dance around the stage J-Pop style but what is this, we have metal going on now and the song switches again! My look of disbelief and confusion would have made an excellent memory for me, had it been captured in a photograph. In the original music video, the breakdown section where the BabyMetal ladies are interacting with the crowd before the best absolute death metal drop in their entire repertoire, there is a rap section. So amusing to see Moa and Yui, dressed as rappers.
I got goosebumps when I first saw this performance just from the opening notes when the crowd realise they are playing Iine! for the first time in almost 7 years as they never performed it without Yui until Momo's first show as a full member of the group.
Great reaction, of course it was.🤘 That was 'so good' (literally since that is what iine means - think thumbs up emoji👍). Like nearly everybody before you, you fell into the trap of calling it Line - don't worry, most people fall into that - it is iine (ee-neh). It was only the second song they released, that was very early in 2012 (it was their third song but IDZ, which was the second song they performed, was released later). They were clearly establishing very early on that all the usual rules of what you can do, what genres you can mix into one song and so on were not going to apply to BABYMETAL. What they did here was they tore up all the rules on how music must fit into one of the many imaginary boxes people have in their minds, then they wrote their own rules ... and they tore them up as well. If they want to have a song with EDM, hip hop (you only got the call & response in the live - please find the official video, its hilarious), death metal and more EDM to finish then that's what they will do. So EDM, a bit of hip hop/rap and then that drop into death metal (they will warn you so you're ready for it in the official video - "Yo yo yo yo. Microphone check, one two one two. Are you ready to mosh? Kitsune da o!") Quite possibly the best drop into death metal from hip hop ever - and then back to the EDM to finish. As the song title suggests - it is so good.👍 In most live versions (as they did here) they swapped the rap and it became a call and response (they kept it in some live performances of course - "BABYMETAL in da house!") ... but that drop is still there. As I said in the live chat, I hate to be the one who breaks it to you, but Su only pretends with screams like that, it wasn't her. Also the growling vocals in the death metal part are explaining the hand sign is not the traditional metal devil horns or maloik,🤘it is the kitsune (fox).🦊
Haha you’re reactions are always hilarious. This is truly an amazing song, and it’s their second song ever! Be sure to check out the Official MV from Babymetal’s channel. It’s even more of a shocker!! 🤘🦊
@@SamuelR007 never heard of Band-Maid until I was looking for some new metal and came across his channel. I am still trying to climb out of that pidgeon hole almost 2 years later.
This song is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING live I can't 😭😭😭😭 the energy from the crowd, the amazing techno, the dancing, the crowdwork... I don't know where to start 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
💕 ⚡ 🍑 / 👍 They say that two wrongs don't make a right. But that three lefts do. And this song has a lot of sudden left turns. : ) BABYMETAL already had 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai' ready to go, but they released this song and 'Doki Doki ☆ Morning' first so they wouldn't be boxed into a single style. This is the probably the ultimate, "Do you like music genres? We smooshed them all into this one song for you." 'Iine!' is still my favorite EDM Dance Rave HipHop Kawaii Metal song of all time. : ) They hadn't performed this song since 2017, but they busted it back out for nine shows last year.
I have never seen this man rendered so completely and utterly speechless that he can't even laugh, cackle or scream like usual.....I just watched a man's mind explode
Hate to burst the bubble, but those screams were pre-recorded and not Su's vocals. However, Momometal CAN scream and has done so in a couple songs live and on RATATATA.
Hey Mr. Rock N Roll, Sir, just wanna say, that your reactions are just as epic as Babymetal! 🤘 Have you ever checked out "From Dusk Till Dawn (Budokan 2021)"? Would love to see your reaction to that one as well! 🦊🤘
I'm sure many have pointed out, but no that was not Su, it's just a backing track. Still a great song and great reaction! The real issue I have is that they have Momo now and she can scream, would have been cool to have her step in for the scream. ah well.

I believe the scream was made by Su. In an interview years ago, Su replied "oh, that is difficult". Plus that scream sounded different in each concert. High pitch scream definitely made by Su.
IINE is a problematic song for me. I mean, it do feel like a silly experiment. And the original MV do also LOOK like a silly experiment. And parts of it is really to simple and Jpoppy. But anyhow, I like it, and I cannot really explain why.
Yeah - like all those other singers who just sing making the instrumentalists do all the work (apart from the singing ... and they're all too lazy to even dance)! Get rid of all of them, just have instrumental bands made up of people playing their own instruments.

I'm pretty sure the scream is a backing track. Su has been miming it on stage since she was 13.
You right

Well, I'm pretty sure Momo "famous" growl is recorded too
@@Andre_tcIt is. Probably because she needs to focus more on dancing and plus they wouldn’t want her to wreck her voice. Just my opinion.
@@Andre_tc but that recorded voice is pretty sure momo
@@Andre_tc Oh, I don't know. I find it hard to believe she didn't show her teeth when she did Momobanger.
Guys, what matters is that they recorded the screams, it's hard to hold them accountable for that when they're jumping all the time.

Hey! Babymetal sounds like Babymetal again... Finally!
Babymetal has always sounded like Babymetal ... not sure what you're on about.
Yep, repeating several times in disbelief, then walking out of the room repeatedly, is the only proper response to Su screaming like that :)
They track all the screams which is annoying.
Momo screams in particular... she is right there let her do her thing live at least ONCE!!!!!!
