I almost bought these a while back but figured I'd run my older AudioTechnica's wired ANC cans into the ground first. It's good to know they'll be a suitable replacement when the time comes.
While I have wired headphones that cost well over $1000 I'm not willing to spend a lot on Bluetooth headphones so I bought these about 6 to 8 months ago and I really enjoy them. The ANC is very good for a $150 wireless headphones and my only complaint is the small ear cups but I never really wear them longer than a couple of hours so its ok.
Own 3 pairs of Final iems and a bluetooth one, they all have wonderful tuning, especially for vocals, Final is basically master of tuning, they know their stuff.
I was looking at getting one of the high end BT headphones, but from your review I figure it best to get the UX3000, for when out and about and a passive audiophile headphone like the Hifiman Ananda for home enjoyment. I see you have the Kef speakers. I been really enjoying my LS50 WII this last year. Liked and sub'ed.
I do find that I love the ability to have ANC and not actually be connected to a device. But I do have to say that my Momentum 3's are comfortable, the funky slider / folder design makes my fingers terrified when I have to fold them to turn them off... And that's not actually off. They constantly broadcast bluetooth so half the time pull them out of my bag they have almost no battery. No ANC is perfect but there are some locations (Planes, badly tuned office buildings) where ANC is better than a jail sentence.
Thank you for the review. This model seems to be competing with the even cheaper Monoprice BT-600ANC, which doesn't have some of the issues you mentioned (small earpads, wired mode lower quality, ANC working while the headphones are off). I wonder how they compare audio quality-wise?

Which AT set are you using?
@@AudioFixation ATH-ANC9 Decent all round, but wired.

Good choice, I think the UX3000 are great for the price and pretty robust
@@AudioFixation Thanks

They look interesting but short battery life...
