How to replace the throttle cable | 400ex Build

What's up guys today we are replacing the throttle cable on my 2002 honda 400ex. it's a simple process but it just takes some time. The first step in replacing the cable is taking the plastics off! Once you get all the plastics off you can start the process of taking off the cable.
Take the three screws off at the thumb throttle and remove the throttle cable end, from there trace it back and pull it out all the way to the carburetor. At this point you need to take the side of the carb off and pull the cable off from the spring assembly. Once the cable is off of the spring it needs to be unbolted from the carb.
The next step is easiest the new cable needs to be properly lubed, so it can be protected from dirt and grime build up. Motion Pro make a simple cable luber that I've linked down below or you can just repeat the steps I did in the video, it's not as clean but it gets the job done for next to nothing. Once your cable is lubed follow the steps above but in reverse to put the new cable back in!
