Other factor to consider on the Linag vs Magnus discussion. Although Liang allow more chops, you are limited by the number of available chops on the map. Magnus increases the value from those chops.
Oh my god I just realized something. The tall lake at east side of the map provides greatest spot I ever seen to build a canal Like its godly! I am still playing on King difficulty because im relatively new to the game and try the new civs to me first on King, only played Barbarossa on higher. And i can say that I absolutely feel the early game you got here. I also put Liang in Thebes and Magnus in Memphis my first two cities with the objectives of getting the wonders as soon as possible. I also failed getting the Etemenaki and Pyraminds :( Some AI built them before me, i used that production for some other wonder..... Sucks to not have pyramids as Egyptians. I try to use the "chop" strategy you mention before placing districts, trying to time it with the city's production queue so i can get that district faster. But that's all I've managed so far, chopping woods to get out wonders faster, the way you did it blew my mind right away! Maybe i could've secured the pyramids that way.... A religion was also very good for the run, i made a holy site in third city, which kinda slowed things, maybe i got away with that on easier difficulty, but the wonders give almost bonkers stats combined with the sphinx..... One mistake i did was that i took the Lady of the Reeds and Marshes, though it was still pretty good, i got a LOT of value out of the desert floodplains and all the marshes i had in my first two cities. Just sucks that i didnt manage etemenaki. (Even as egypt, my first city was basically just on the tundra border, same with second, so marshes helped in the southward expansion too). I don’t remember the last time I was able to get etemenanki sadly. The ai boosts in addition to them not needing to worry ab man power or settling makes it impossible to guarantee you’ll get it. Even playing with 1 scout to 1 settler opening I feel like you can’t guarantee it

Everyone plays civ differently, so a mod like this isn't cheating for us casual gamers.
Video games are about enjoyment, after all.
@@Kodyopolis I think even if you are playing casual instead of "Russia will build X in 4 turns" it should be "Russia built atleast %25 of the wonder", only updates with visual cues of wonder
@@makaramuss I think that's fair. Could be cool to have different levels of it. Major detail "4 turns for x wonder", moderate detail "25% completed", and minor detail "Y has begun building x wonder"
Is that quick deals screen from a mod?
I don't know what Map Tacks MOD your using but I can never get mine to work. I'd also like to add, that if you could do a video on what MODs and how you get them all to work, that would be an awesome video.
There are two land tiles in his entire empire that are not adjacent to rivers… two
Don't mess with the timeline doc!
Sry, but why there are 3 food jungle tiles? Is it because of a mod or an update?
@@blaubeer8039 Looked the first minutes before I went to sleep yesterday 😅 Little brainlag there, but thank you anyway ✌️
This but apocalypse mode and you spam soothsayers and flood yourself into an unlimited food tall build
Oh, he chose monumentality to the surprise of nobody. Either it needs a slight nerf or all the others need a little buff.
Think I'd have gone Exodus - no one else was competing for the remaining religions. His faith generation even with the sphinx is not great so not getting a tonne of value from monunentality. Getting holy sites and sphinx up in the classical era and pushing for a medieval golden age with loads of faith saved up could be really powerful. Monunentality is OP though, no doubt.
It's always good to be reminded Potato is like the rest of us and slapping reload occasionally.
What kind of map is that? Looks beatiful
Hell yeah Jebel Barkal. I don't think I've ever built it.
The reload for the pyramids was a sigma male maneuver
