My favorite is Tobacco Oud. Bought a 10ml decant first and, after 2-3 wears, ended up buying a 50ml bottle from fbuy. Will finish my decant first before opening the 50ml box 😄
Im baffled that the new Vanilla Fatale is doing well, its terrible compared to the original, I absolutely dont care for Vanilla Sex. Just too almondy and marizpan. Not the type of vanilla I like. I much perfer Vanilla Fatale and Metallique.
It doesn’t matter . Tom Ford sold out and every new release will be 💩 because Tom Ford is not there anymore and IFRA has banned alot of ingredients . They can’t re release anything old, if they do it will be different. Weaker and it will smell like a clone. I have lots of vintage Tom Fords from 2007. Japon Noir, Plum Japonais, Bois Rouge, Amber Absolute, Moss Breches and a lot more. I have flacons. Selling only small decants, 10-30ml at most. Samples too. Let me know if anyone wants to buy . I usually sell on Mercari and have a perfect 100% rating.
I’m done with Tom Ford fragrances. Nevertheless, much support to you and your chanel Sebastian. My favorites from Tom Ford are Oud Fleur and Plum Japonais, both perfumed by Yann Vasnier in 2013. At this point bringing back Plum Japonais is simply too little too late. I can just go with Rouge Saray or Plum in Cognac instead.
My favorite of the discontinued line is Japon Noire, even though it has been years that I don’t have it anymore but I didn’t forget how much I used to like it… any idea if there’s a similar fragrance ?
I am loving Oud Minerale Parfum. I have Costa Azzura and Ombre Leather parfume, Gery Vetiver Parfum. I only get the Parfum versions. I feel they work best for me, for the most part.
Being a fan of vanilla fragrances I keep going back to Sephora to sniff on vanilla sex. Thinking that I'll finally like it. But nooooo, it keeps smelling like crushed cockroach with a hint of vanilla 🤮

Agreed. It might smell like the original dark honeyed version of NdN. I’m hanging onto and nursing my old bottle because the latest formulation is very thin and has lost that darkness.
Bois Pacifique has been a trademark bij TF, so I assume the name is correct. If anything, I always figured Black Lacquer would be a nail polish or lipstick or something
The Tom Ford West Coast USA rep told me it’s no longer called that unless he’s lying to me, but he said it was a working name that will change but yes, I remember seeing the trademark as well

I'm still a new frag head, but I have a few Tom Ford fragrances already. I just got a 100 ml bottle of Ombre Leather EDP from Amazon for $120 and already had a bottle of Noir Extreme EDP, that I got for free from Amazon. I had ordered the parfum version, but they accidentally sent me the EDP, so I complained and got a refund and still got to keep the item. I also have a sample set that I bought at Sephora, that has both of the ones I mentioned, and also Eau de Soleil Blanc, Costa Azzura, Black Orchid, and Grey Vetiver. I already had Argos Bacio Immortale when I tried Tuscan Leather, and those are really similar. So far, I think the most expensive bottle I've bought was Ombre Nomade from the Louis Vuitton store, and I think the most expensive by volume was the 7.5 ml Angels' Share.
Black Laquer sounds interesting. I'm women and i hope it'll be unisex. Soleil neige isn't my favorite. It ranks far down my large Tom Ford collection. The best in my opinion is Rose Prick, Tobacco Vanille, Lavender Extreme, Champaka Absolute, Mandarino di Amalfi, F* Fabolous, Soleil Brulant. I have't try yet cherry smoke, neroli portofino, ebene fume, vanilla sex and soleil the feu.

Beau de jour and Ombre Leather... Parfum!! I prefer the parfum, more versatile and wearable with the same ADN from the OG. The rest of fragances from Tom Ford seems to me overpriced...
I like some of the newer flankers, but I prefer the OGs. My TF favorites are: Noir Extreme, Tobacco Vanille, Tuscan Leather, Ombre Leather, Oud Wood, Black Orchid, Grey Vetiver, and then it's a looong list of other good frags, some discontinued such as Plum Japonais. Given the range of great vanilla forward frags on the market, while I like Vanilla Sex, there are better choices at 1/2, 1/3, and 1/4 the price. Great respect for Neroli....just not where my subjective nose goes. A vanillac take on Ombre Leather? Yep...all day long. To me, Anthracite is simply some well crafted niche that made its way to the surface in what is largely a designer only mega house. It's NOT supposed to be for everyone. My all-time favorite is still Tom Ford Black Orchid(in the EDP, but I have both), then I'd have to go with Ombre Leather(I love both). I think Black Lacquer is the one that sounds more interesting but it really needs to be an extraordinary fragrance like Tobacco Oud to justify the price, I find funny when people say Tobacco Oud is challenging, to me is an everyday fragrance, but everyone is different, it also happened to me with fate man: Smells like BO, it's the strongest fragrance ever, Nuclear and nope it's a beautiful woody spicy fragrance not that strong at all at least to my nose and the cumin it's just fantastic, sadly discontinued. I’m a fan of Soleil Neige, and will try the Parfum version when it’s released. I’m also a fan of Vanilla Sex, so I’ve not experienced any of the negative aspects (apparently) that some people have. And, for Ombre Leather, I prefer the Parfum (for once we disagree, Sebastian! 😂). I think the violet leaves make it more wearable for me. ❤
Vanilla Sex is heavily underrated. I really like it because it has a very complex vanilla. I really hope for a "Sole di Positano" re-release and i fear the "Mandarino di Amalfi" discontinuation.
Tom Ford for Men Extreme (not Noir Extreme) & Tuscan Leather are probably my favorites of the line but I own about 15 from the lines. Neroli Portofino Forte gets a lot of summer wear.
Bois De Jour, Noir Extreme and Tuscan leather are major faves. Would love to try Noir de Noir, but a vanilla leather, like Tuscan leather meets Tabacco Vanille could be something exciting

Excited to finally be able to experience Neroli Portofino Parfum since I’ve always loved the original because it reminds me of the baby cologne that my mom and grandmother used to put on me when I was a child. It’s just too bad that it doesn’t stay on for long. I’m hoping that the parfum version has a much longer lasting effect. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
Spot on with Ombre Leather. I have the EdP and its fantastic. The parfum had its teeth taken out when they switched the strengths of the floral and leather notes. I also own the new Oud Minerale and a sample of the original. I like both, the opening of the original is definitely sharper but IMO they aren't wildly different from one another. Vanilla Sex does not smell like puke, your description was spot on, it's just not my cup of tea.
I am a real fan of both Ombré Leathers. I waffle as to which is my favourite. Depends on the mood I guess. This new one is very interesting, I am a huge Vanilla lover in fragrances. So this might be right up my alley. Thanks again for the great content 👍🏻👍🏻

My current favorite TF right now is the re-released Oud Minerale! Such a different but amazing scent especially on my skin!

I just smelled it yesterday. It’svery incense woody smoky resinous and a bit polished lacquer. Very dark.
