Thanks for the tutorial.
Thanks for the tip. Will definitely make sure my settings are correct for my next video. Thanks Don
Thanks so much for this
Amazing thank you!
Good stuff. Thanks!
Im not good in this area but im thankful i found out your video
Thanks so much. I am a new youTuber and really struggling with getting quality productions
The more videos you make, the better you'll get. Practice, practice, practice! Keep up the great work! :-)
good luck
Great voice work! Do you use an audio program to get such a sharp, and at the same time mellow narration?
Thank you! I record into Adobe Audition, and I do a little “audio processing” in editing to add some compression, high and low frequencies. I use a Synco Mic-D2 microphone with the Scarlett 2i2 Focusrite audio interface…. But perhaps the biggest contributor to good audio is a treated room where I record my voice.
Hi Thanks so much this was really helpful. Is there any way that you can change the settings for the Camtasia "RUclips" option. Your way works perfectly but now you have to render and in a separate step upload to RUclips. The default production settings for RUclips in Camtasia are too low to use anymore.
I'm not aware of a way to change those settings... but I've honestly never used any of the quick export options. I always just export to mp4 first and then my youtube upload process is another thing entirely, including thumbnail, description, writing and pinning the first comment, etc. I like to have full control of all of that and so I like to keep those actions separate from the actual rendering of the video. Does that make sense? Sorry I couldn't really answer your question.
Thanks for that. I'll move to the 2 step process :)@@RobtheMaritimer
thanks for tutorial, please tell me how to make Short video for youtube shorts?
I'll add that to my list of things to cover in tomorrow's Live Stream. If you can't watch it live (1:00pm Eastern) it will be available as a video shortly after :-)
Sorry, but I don't have "Custom Production" in my list, and I have the latest 2022 version of Camtasia. Windows11
To export (or render) a video in Camtasia 2022 you now go up to "Export" then "Legacy Local File"... that will open the Production Wizard :-)
Great info! Would you use the same settings for vertical videos? I put a video up to RUclips tonight and it's only showing 480p on the playback. It was shot on an iPhone. Everything is high definition. Looks great on Camtasia on iMac but 480p on YT. Thx
For a vertical video I would set the project up as 1080 x 1920, and then export (render) at those same settings. SO that's 1080 wide and 1920 tall. If you did that, also keep in mind that when you upload to youtube, youtube only makes the lowest possible resolution available right away, and the higher resolution versions will be available shortly afterwards. So for example, if you upload a 4K video to youtube, youtube will create 4K, 1080p, 720 and 480p versions. The idea is that if someone goes to watch one of your videos and they have a slow internet connection, maybe they can only watch a video at 480p... youtube will recognize that and that's what they'll be shown. But for those with better internet connections, youtube will send you the best possible version that your device can handle. So... when youtube is processing your upload, they are creating the lowest resolution version first, then the next best, and so on. The 4K version will be the last one created and made available. Sorry for the long winded answer... I hope that helps :-)
I followed the instructions. Look at my latest video, when the game starts in the video, it looks like it's in 720p or even 480p. Not sure what's going on.
Did you make sure to set your Canvas Dimensions in your Project Settings? If so, then when you go to export (render) your video, be sure you set the proper dimensions there as well :-)
@@RobtheMaritimer YT makes 1080p look back for some reason. Uploading in 4K and 1440p. It's looks great now. Thx!
Ok, I found it. Different place. You mentioned 60fps, but do you use that as well when you record just from a pc screen?
Yes I do... mainly so that the zoom and pan animation effects I usually add to my videos will be smoother than if I exported at 30 fps.
How do you get the video to youtube with high quality for some reason it loses qaulity on youtube for me
If you upload a high quality video to RUclips, then tell be available on thsy high quality, but also lower qualities for people who have slower internet connections. This f you’re only seeing a lower quality version, then perhaps your connection speed would any great? I’m r maybe you just have to wait a bit longer for the high quality version to be available. I hope that helps :-)
hello, how do i render in mac? there doesn't seem to be the export option
I'm not exactly sure, as I don't use a mac... however, if you cannot see an "export" option, look for a "share" option as it could be there as well. I hope that helps!
@@RobtheMaritimer thank you so much sir!
Mine takes forever for rendering. Almost a day, and sometimes it doesn’t work. Any ideas of the problem ???
What are the specs of the computer you are using (RAM, processor, video card)? Also, what size video are you trying to render (time length, 1080p vs 720p vs 4K)? Finally, how complex are the edits that you're making before rendering? These are all factors that go into how long a render will take.
@@RobtheMaritimer thanks for responding. I’ll try to explain, I’m not very techy. So I have the core i5. I’m trying to upload 1080, about 3 hours long. And the edits honestly weren’t complex. Just transitions. It is videos and music
Ok... 3 hours is super long and will take quite a bit of time to render, even for a 1080p video... and even if you had virtually no edits. One thing you should take a look at though, is your output settings. When you click to render in mp4 format, click next, then select the "Video Settings" tab. Your frame rate should be set at whatever the original video was (30? 60?). Then look at Encoding mode, and make sure that's no more than 74% quality. Any more than that and your video likely won't look any better, but will just take up a lot more space. In fact, try setting that as low as 50% or 60% and your resulting file size will be much smaller, with relatively little (or no) loss in quality. Rendering at this lower setting should also occur much faster. But again, a 3 hour video is still going to take awhile on an i5 processor.
I film high action and my footage quality goes way down after I've uploaded it onto youtube. How do I fix?
You may just have to wait a bit longer. If you’re uploading a high quality video, let’s say 4K, then the 4K version won’t be available right away. I’m t takes RUclips some time to process all the different quality versions before making them available. Immediately you should have a 360p or 720p version available, but it might be an hour or more for the higher quality versions to become available. I hope that helps :)
@@RobtheMaritimer I will hold fast and hope for improvement. Appreciate the reply.
@@RobtheMaritimer Follow up. You were correct, the codecs changed to vp9 and the quality is much better! I’m not worthy 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Sir
If select 60 per second
Will it increase mb of video?
Yes... the higher the frame rate the higher the resulting video file will be. A 60 fps video will be approximately twice as large as a 30 fps video because there are twice as many frames (still images). I hope that helps :-)
@@RobtheMaritimer Thank u
What happens if I use 75% quality encoding mode
If you select a higher percentage encoding mode than 74%, your video will still render fine... but the file size will be unnecessarily larger, with no noticeable increase in quality.
@@RobtheMaritimer I noticed. Thanks a lot. I only use 60% henceforth.
