- The power of social media's influence took a dangerous turn last week when authorities say a massive crowd showed up in New York City's Union Square for a promised electronics giveaway from influencer Kai Cenat. Chaos ensued, some were injured and Cenat was arrested and charged with inciting a riot. To discuss all this, CBS News was joined by Dr. Pamela Rutledge, director of the Media Psychology Research Center specializing in understanding the way people use and are impacted by social media.

There’s a certain culture of people in society that will look for any reason to justify to themselves that rioting and violence is the only choice. These people are less than animal.

What you talking about those were specifically Kai fans if he's not there none of those people show up.
Its easy read books and stop listening to these people. Question and be a sceptic at what you see on social media, all lot of the information is either untruthful by mediocre research or unprofessional behavior. Be an individual instead of part of a group.

Kai Cenat didnt do nothing wrong he's a young streamer that came from NOTHING, and he felt giving back would be nice and it was, he just needs to plan better. Kai is the GOAT 🐐

Social responsibility? Is Kai Cenat a man who is capable of being socially responsible to the youth of today is the questions we should be asking ourselves. Kai Cenat does not portray the character traits of a person who is socially responsible. I don't know the guy personally but as a fellow New Yorker, this is disgusting. The behavior shown on his livestream symbolizes that of a loud obnoxious adult whose mind is inflated with clout. The point I am trying to make is that for Kai Cenat to focus on being a socially responsible adult he would need to be the opposite of the person he is on camera and set the example to a younger demographic and honestly, I don't see that happening. (If he wants to maintain his viewership)
