    ⚡ 💀 💕 / 💓 ⏰
The members of “Metalverse”, the second group of girls in the newest video, are Miko Todaka (singer), Sakia Kimura and Kokona Kato.
There are currently two other dancers who have appeared at their live events, Miki Yagi and Yume Nozaki.
Four of them are former Sakura Gakuin members, and Kokona was with Ciao Girls, another Amuse, Inc. project.
When the five girls performed at Summer Sonic, they were backed live by the Western Kami Band. : )
Which is great if you want to hear a Swing song with a heavy metal drummer like Anthony Barone.

Can you imaging they started career with this song, performed it and lay down on the floor of food courts?
Most of the Westerners only saw their success, thought they were manufactured, commercial, and big label financially supported, and never get to know Babymetal earned everything from scratch.

I had seen this before and was wondering how long it would take you to realize there was a second set of performers. There also a version of Karate that uses the multiverse group. You kept saying how little Moa was. There is an interview out there where Moa starts her answer off with something like when I was small, and I think Su cuts her off and says yoiu are still small., and Moa fains sadness and says, I'm not small

Thanks for coming back with this suggestion.
Doki Doki MORNING is where everything started, they got 11 and 12 yo when the group was created in 2010 with this song but the official MV (Edit version) was released a year later. The girls look so young i myself was thinking they got less than 10 yo when I met them with this song around that time.
The backing band you saw here are hired actors called "baby-bones", you'll see them performing live during early shows until 2014, after that Kami Band took their places as a real band on stage.
They're singing about waking up and going to school while worrying about make-up and usual girl stuff, this a metal song after all 🤘
There's an Air Dance version of this, with the girls dancing in front of the camera in this same room. There's also a funny commentary vid made by the girls telling us more details about the backstage on this song.
You can enjoy the live version of this with the Kami Band live at Legend 1999 and after Budokan 2014, they also performed this at Budokan 2021 celebrating their 10 years and last year they introduced the Metalverse era with this song performing and introducing some big surprise you just saw after the MV, you can see only three of them but the subgroup is actually with 5 members all of them coming from the same Sakura Gakuin roots except for one of the youngest member. They started doing BM covers but now they got exclusive songs and already an official MV in their own place "Metalverse", song title is "Crazy J" if you wanna check it out.
Next suggestion to meet a SuMetal solo and a different song outside of the usual happy vibes:
    - Rondo Of Nightmare with Mischief Of Metal Gods Intro live at Budokan 2014.
Thanks for sharing this and see you next time. 🦊🤘🔥

Wow! A "Doki Doki Morning" pack! Sugoi!
You won't believe the enthusiasm of the Japanese crowd when it's performed live today. I experienced it last weekend and it was all an experience.
Yes, the other three young ladies are METALVERSE.
Su-metal imitates her younger self when singing early fun songs like this. Moa said that Su is very good at that.
Yes, the two stages from Makuhari 2023 (BABYMETAL Returns) move. People called them "Roombas. 🤣
And... don't tell Moa she's tiny, haha...

Great reaction(s).🦊As you've been told, this was their very first song - recorded late October 2010 and well done finding them rehearsing it. Also that was their live debut in November 2010 - and you spotted BABYMETAL Fan#1, White T-shirt guy. He bought tickets for about 20 of his friends to make sure the girls had an audience to perform to.
The official video was recorded around August 2011, so Su was 13, Yui and Moa both just turned 12 and yes they were tiny (but don't call them small!)😁
The video was shot on a shoestring budget, they were in partly borrowed clothes to make up their first costumes, the Babybones skeleton suits were made with white tape (you can see it peeling if you look closely) ... and this was long before any Kami Band - East or West.
The people at the live show you watched were just as confused as you when the mirror group suddenly appeared on another stage ... to them it looked like BABYMETAL had teleported across the arena. Then they saw the slightly different costumes (the red skirts reminding them of early costumes) and realised it was not Su, Moa and Momoko at all .... and yes the two stages moved across the arena to meet in the middle forming the OO infinity logo of The Other One album.
I'm sure you have had explanations of the spin off group (confusingly also called Metalverse) and who the girls are. This was their first appearance like a BABYMETAL from an alternate reality.

    • @Hokkyo11
      @Hokkyo11  8 месяцев назад

Hahahaha yes! The sheer confusion on your face from that live is awesome 😂. They’re the “spinoff” from Babymetal called “Metalverse”, and this was their introduction. Miko is the lead for them and she’s a solid singer. No official releases quite yet but they’ve done a few shows, initially borrowing Babymetal’s Kami Band.
Also, for the music video: I first watched it maybe 3 songs in after discovering Babymetal through “Gimme Chocolate”.
At first I was still like, “WTF is this crap?!”. Then I tripped and fell down the foxhole.
A year later, “Ring Ring Ring!!” 🕺🎵⏰

To be honest, I don't understand all of it especially since there is THE "Metalverse" but they also have a spinoff group named "Metalverse", which is the younger 3 girls seen in the video. This isn't just an early video, this is the very first one, which is why they look so young. We don't know exactly when this was filmed, but Su would have been around 13 and Yui and Moa would have been 11. They made this video on an absolute shoestring budget; Su's tartan jacket was borrowed from a member of the Amuse office staff!
Whatever you do, don't call Moa small!
It looks like a Marvel thing because Kobametal is a massive pop culture nerd who loves to reference things that he likes. They have referenced things like Star Wars and Marvel before in their videos.
Oh, you've got the Makuhari Messe version. I was there for that performance. This was at Babymetal Returns in January 2023; it was the first live Babymetal show following the hiatus, so there was a lot of excitement among the fans as we hadn't seen them in almost 2 years.
We were quite surprised when Doki Doki started because they don't play it very often, then when the three other girls appeared, we had no idea what was going on. I thought it was some sort of hologram effect, then I realized the other girls were wearing different outfits. After the show, we found out that the three other girls were Miko Todaka, Sakia Kimura, and Kokona Kato. Miko and Sakia are alumni of Sakura Gakuin, and Kokona is from Amuse Camp. Miko is considered to be the most talented vocalist to come out of Sakura Gakuin since Su-metal herself
This was the very first time we got to see members of what would become Metalverse. If you want to see more of Metalverse, they have finally released their first video "Crazy J" on their own channel.
Did you notice that the two oval shaped stages form the "00" of The Other One when they come together? And yes, the stages move. They ran up and down a track that ran the length of the arena. During the show, the stage would move along the track so that at different times in the show, the girls would be performing right in front of all parts of the crowd. Babymetal always want to get as close to the fans as possible during live performances, so they design stage set ups to allow them to give all the fans the best view possible.
And you've got the very first Babymetal appearance at "Sakura Gakuin Festival ☆ 2010" at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse. The guy in the white T-shirt is a living legend in the Babymetal fan community. He is known as "White T-Shirt Guy" and he still comes to Babymetal shows regularly. He is the OG Babymetal fan. I made the pilgrimage to the Red Brick Warehouse on my recent trip to Legend MM. Unfortunately the performance space was in preparation for an upcoming performance, so it wasn't open to visitors that day.

LOL I take it back. Moa is NOT small!!! Im jealous you were there jeez. At first I thought it was just a screen behind them and didn't realize it was different girls at all. Is everyone a fan of Metalverse too? Ill have to check them out

    • @Icipher353
      @Icipher353 8 месяцев назад

@@Hokkyo11It's not us you have to be worried about calling Moa small. It's Moa who is sensitive about it. It was a sore point when they were younger and she was the shortest by a large margin. She's still the shortest at 5' 0", but she caught up a bit.
I think a lot of people are still unsure about what to make of Metalverse. From what we have heard from them so far, they seem to be leaning more towards the J-pop end of things rather than metal, probably to keep them distinct from Babymetal. I think the fans that come from the J-pop side of the fanbase are more excited, while the fans like me from the metal side aren't quite as enthusiastic. Have a listen and decide for yourself.
