I've lived in Michigan my whole life, but I never knew Ann Arbor was 45 miles east of Detroit. That would make Ann Arbor somewhere in Canada.

You're right. Ann Arbor is 45 miles west of Detroit in Washtenaw County. The Detroit Metro Airport is in Romulus, so you don't even have to travel through Detroit to get to Ann Arbor if you fly.

Race Adams Ann Arbor is west of Detroit it's in South Eastern Michigan he even said that I'm not sure how it works saying due east 45 mins Detroit cause it made me confused too but it's not in Canada

Just remember that people drive extremely fast on Ann Arbor roundabouts which have caused hundreds of crashes since they were installed. If you want to be ticketed, then have your insurance rates skyrocket for life, welcome to Ann Arbor.
