Jazz at 2:00am hits different especially when Platina Jazz is the one doing this amazing performance.
Najabes was Asian, yet he took inspiration from a culture on the opposite side of the world. It shows that one isn't tied to one's heritage and that they can branch out into other cultures and take from them. What we're seeing is a band comprise of primarily white males playing a song created by an Asian musician inspired by African-American culture. Samurai Champloo is a series that's long and over but it's influence still live on. Break down racial barriers so that we can all treat each other as equals.
Japanese. He's not Continental Asian. Same applies with the Brits, many do not like being called European, they're British. Being an Island culture, Japan is very different from China, Korea, Vietnam etc, plus all those countries still have animosity towards Japan over the Japanese Empire from a Century ago.
Nujabes name is Sebajun. He's Japanese.

Should be 'Song for Four Seasons' - ie to be played all year round ;)

The vocal part is a bit classically approached, accentuated; wouldn’t mind for it to actually have more swing, but still enjoy the arrangement.
