- Silas masters the angles of Portland’s geometry like a Northwest Pythagoras, employing fast feet and a sharp eye for lines. Study up on a SOTY.

This plaza looks absolutely terrible, I love it
Looks terrible, sounds worse. Lol raw street right there. Silas is the man.
Probably the worst / best spot you’ll ever skate
Chunky as fuck
Not a good spot trust me
The upstair ollie sequence after the last trick was just a cherry on top
the closing sequence if you will
It seems to be flat, just ollieing over channels.
😙🙏👏😘🌕☀️🤙
@@Rufusdos I think you're right. That''s insane, and harder than small stairs, because you can hang both trucks.
Still killing it after all these years. Skates the roughest spots too.
still looks like he had the 53mm on too.
Zzzzzzzzzz
The most crusty spots ever. I can only imagine how it would destroy your skin if you fell lol
I think this was all pretty much the same spot
@@aaronovski9949 were you asleep on the toilet?
Hell Yeah Silas!!! 🔥 If you've never been to those spots, they are the definition of crust.
I can't begin to express how much of an understatement "crusty" is for this spot. This is absolutely insane. I've dreamed about that fountain being only crusty lol. My feet and ankles are screaming just watching this. SBN is an absolute legend.
There is a question in skateboarding.
Does the trick make the spot, or does the spot make the trick?
Silas is the dude to make you ask this question forever.
This was pure fantasticness!
Both but in this case the spot makes the trick
@@jimmyhill5265 when was the last time someone had more than 1 minute of footage at one spot?
Nuff Said
I tried skating a parking lot near my house that was kinda rough yesterday, pushed around for about 8 seconds then left. This is amazing.
Get back there and keep skating!!!!
"you only adopted the crust. i was born in it, raised by it..." -silas, probably
Lol well played, sir
The fact that kids will want to come to these spots after seeing this just shows how smooth he makes shit look. Those two parks are incredibly rough and difficult to skate.
Next X games will have new event. ..... X Games Gravel Street. They just glue a bunch of rocks together on the ground and say "there ya go"
Right? Like the few times he would get to a smooth slab of concrete, I'd be like: thank God! Beautiful spot but that ground is janky as shit
I've always been a fan of this man.
he's sick, fun to watch
As someone who lives in Portland and skated these spots a ton; this is insane. Fucking amazing video!
I believe it! The entire time I was watching the spot all I could think was “crusty”!
I literally thought "I bet that spot is WAAAAY harder to skate than this guy makes it look." lol
Where the hell is this?! I used to live in SE... this looks like some campus or something. Never been there.
PS found it... can't believe I walked by this forever :P
@@CaalamusTube where is it?
Silas signed a board for me back when he skated for Elwood. Seeing him skate and use Heatmiser for the Video really makes my day.
Really fire part. I love quick feet, and the precision of his fakie tricks down the stair sets is underappreciated.
This is one of my fav parts for this year
The part shows what skateboarding is for me truly about
Playing with architecture
So awesome that he uses Heatmiser for this gnarly Portland part. Much respect.
He’s been shredding for soo long. I’m glad I can still watch some of my fav skaters that I was into when I first started skating.
Now I know why I can't seem to find wax anywhere. It's all at this spot.
😂😂😂😂
That stair bail looked ruff
Skater of the year forever will be skater of the year ❤️🤝🏻 thank you so much silas for this video part 😍✨ piece of art
The kids probably don't know but silas was the rage in skateboarding back in the day. Just the king. Glad hes still killing it ender is bonkers
Always good to see Silas footage!
Crazy how he makes a spot that probably nobody skates look like something people want to skate.
These spots are a total gem and blew me away the first time I came here, had no idea at the time Portland had insane spots like this
SOTY 2022.
Let’s see someone clear that gap!
Silas is The Best!
Best lookin spot evver, I can get over the crust with it that peaceful.
Every aspect of this is pure art. One of the best parts I've seen in a long time.
I was gonna say Portland is the roughest shit I ever seen but I've always dreamt of skating it all
did anyone notice Blueprint 'Lost and found' vibe in this footage?
Any footage with crusty spots and gloomy footage is gonna immediately feel like Blueprint vibe. BTW that was one of my favorite skate videos ever
Growing up in the UK, this would of been a dream spot!
are we this old :D
@@outrider18 damn is that old? i think the part is very much like Lost and Found. when i used to skate these spots i was really into that video. i could picture the song in it too.
The entire part was filmed in one spot. Nice
2 spots, Keller and Lovejoy. Both are some crusty spots.
Just so good, as always with this dude.
This part is making Lawrence Halprin’s work shine.
Oh my! That whole spot is just incredible - surface, design, feel. Plus, SBN smashing it! Yes!
Aunthentic flavorful skateboarding. Quite rare these days. Well done.
Love the sounds in this! You can hear the crust, so sick!!
Always happy to see new Silas footage. Really creative part. For some reason I thought he was going to gap to the street at 0:38 and tailslide drop tailslide a 1:01.
So dope. I love that it was all filmed at the same place. Makes feel like I watched a love park part portland version.
Wow a whole part here. Rad Silas 🔥
Crusty ass ledges and ground! Amazing spot tho
And now, bring over there Tom Knox
I would love to see buetnz skate here
@@jimmyhill5265 He and SBN are friends I believe.
Perfect form in an imperfect situation! More power to you Silas. That last slam made me wince, but you came back!
Crusty spots - awesome part!
Much love from Switzerland
AWESOME. Love everything about this. And what a location!
Killing it always! Genius! And please adidas, make Silas shoes again we need it
I can never not enjoy a SBN part.
There’s some real haters in this comment section already. Y’all must not skate/know who this man is. SOTY 2008
No there isn't
That was an Arthouse skate video and i loved every second! Skateboarding is beautiful!
Great nod to Portland with the Heatmiser track. Spots look amazing but also so difficult to skate. Ripping
Hell yeah! Pretty deep cut :p
He just skated the same spot but made a part out of it that’s kinda crazy
Amazing HEs showing how difficult that terrain is an pulling major moves!!🙏
The hangup on the curb made my body cringe, guys a trooper
Same here bro, that must have fucking hurt bad on that crusty ass ground!
Exactly.
Can we all just stop and thank God for these creative architects that have built these concrete play grounds for us? I mean, come on. That spot is a skaters wet dream.
Bruh that ender is soo sick. If y'all never skated these Portland spots they are straight cheese grater rough and really kinda hard to skate, especially Lovejoy. So it's all the more sick to see Silas putting it down there and getting really really creative. So hyped
that fall on the clip up the curb to the stairs is exactly how I imagine myself trying that lol
I watched him do that
Everyone went silent until he started moving again
Just the other day I was thinking that i had a lack of Silas footy in my life.
Pure art. Lovely!!
New Silas Part!? Was breaking the speed limit on that click Lol
How can you skate that rough ground, absolutely amazing
That ender slam looked terrifying, and that ender was insane. That's the kind of ground I enjoy watching people skate but definitely don't want to skate myself.
the crust is real. mad props for skatin that gnarly shit🔥🤝
whattaa dope spot!!!!! bunch of cool lines.
Soo good. Got me hyped to skate, I love an edit which unveils a spot. Simple, fun & inspiring cheers!
Nice work, Silas and Tristan! 🔥
A piece of Art, great part.
You will not know how bonkers this part is unless you have skated there.
Thanks for the clarification I was almost falling asleep
@@aaronovski9949 because you're a proper fool that's why you were falling asleep
@@Jordi_Llopis_i_Torregrosa96 nah, no fool here, simply a really bad video part, really basic tricks with lots of visuals, almost all part skated in the same part of the city, super boring music , zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz and more f zzzzzzzzzzzzzz no effort in the skate lots of effort editing , if that hurts you is your problem
That’s how Ptown needed to be skated. Thank you for this part folx. Silas is a SOTY picked by the old man.
Went to this spot. Silas is a GOAT
How the hell does he make this pebble ledges grind and slide so smoothly, completely in awe
Skateboarding is in such good health, it's amazing, it's at an all time high right now, this is dope as f
Weww. That sequence is really open.
That spot looks so dope and fun. Wish I could skate there too 🤙
Just another reason why silas is the best
The roughness you here at the first spots are reall. its brutal
can´t stop Silas!
I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a part of Silas which doesn’t include a wall ride of some sort. He’s killin it with this rough ass concrete, wonderful!
I love this concept of demolishing a spot in a video.
Amazing part!
What an awesome spot too
Damn that place looks fun. Dude still got them fast feet. Smooth style on some really funked up ground. Fire
He's so good!
I miss seeing him skate. Especially in Japan...
Him and Busenitz should do a shared trip part there before they peace out
Pebble-mix stuff is gnarly! Flesh grater. That was heaps gnarlier than anything done on smooth crete 🔥🔥🔥
This spot is paradise if you skate in Yorkshire England..great part regardless...
Keep Shredding Fellas
A non Elliott written Heatmiser track?! Seriously deep cut. Respect.
Ayyy Heatmiser, perfect for a Portland part
Loved watching him for like 20 years bow
Once a SOTY, always a SOTY. Silas can do no wrong.
So sick and great to watch
This is the roughest yet smoothest part ever. Fucking rugged.
I miss this dude! Still rips and still one of my faves 🔥🔥 dang that ground looks pretty rough, i feel like I’d be dead with my face melted if i bail there 😱
Lord of the CRUST glad to see some new footy
You don’t know how gnarly these clips are if ur not from Portland or haven’t been to these spots. The ground is terrible
Daaaamn that’s sick, I’ve never seen someone skate the cover of tranquility base hotel & casino before!
Soo weird how skateboarding is barely getting to a point where skaters will become mainstream athletes with the Olympics but new casuals will not know legends like this man who's been killin the game for the past 15 yeara
That was freaking RAD!! Super Shredder
Cool spot check and shredding every corner
So sick. Big ups! 🙏
Fuck yeah Silas! I thought I was the only one who skated to Elliott Smith! Woot woot! #Heatmiser
Dylan
@@franciscofrank6175 man if you have any links to songs by “a friend named Dylan and two others” I’d be stoked! I’ve never heard his earlier stuff before heatmiser!
really enjoyed that part
Silas Baxter- Neal is a bad ass name
Made my day
watched it twice in a row. Kind of spot i like..reminds me of EMB
