@ Team YAMAHA: Please help me out with the correct power and impedance settings for the THR 100 HD. I am using the dual version (HD) with a stereo box that has 2 Greenbacks (25 Watt @ 16 Ohms each). I don't understand the manual fully regarding what to set for impedance and power settings when using both outputs. Manual says "you have to calculate the common resistance and power settings". I would do surely that if I knew, if the two outputs were parallel or serial or completely independant from another. So, for two separate speakers , each taking only 25 Watt at 16 Ohms ---> what do I set? >> Is it 50 Watt and 8 Ohm due to parallel wiring? >> Or is it 25 Watt 16 Ohm because the setting applies to each output? Plz help! Thx in advance. Cheers Phil
The Confidence Men They're having a think about it, I take it. I have this amp and I love it, no need for any other amp for my uses, but I do take your point. I have the single cab and want to make myself a twin set-up and the blurb leaves me totally confused as to what speakers I would need.
Hey mate, how did you go? if your 2 speakers have their own independent jacks then use the 25w and 16ohm switch. i run 2 separate 75w speakers (8ohm) using the 50w and 8 ohm switched. No issues to date i've run the thr212c same settings in stereo, but when i really want to crank it i have to use the Output 1 only and the single input on 16 ohm. The thr100hd only starts being tricky to use when using 150w+ with 2 separate 4ohm speaker/s
@@alftupper9359 hey Alf, you have the thrc112? It's an 8 ohm 150w speaker. You can buy any other 8 ohm speaker or speaker cab, safest best. I occasionally run an 8ohm Marshall with the THRC112. Worst case scenario if you need to buy 4ohm speaker or cab, you can switch down to 4ohm and STILL run the 8 ohm Yamaha speaker. If you do buy a 16 ohm speaker or speaker cab, you'll be stuck using that because you'll damage the 8 ohm yamaha if you try to run it at 16 ohm.
how does this compare to yamaha dg130h?

This is really a big fault that this good sound is not programmable with effects built in on user's banks
Why play different rifs when trying to demonstrate small differences in tone?
