I got sick the same time around you did so i've been going through it too. Wishing us both and anyone else sick a speedy recovery.
You really are an “old fashioned” person. You sound like my grandmother. If people think you’re a burden to them, they would not do it, nor would they offer! But I guess there’s no way to convince some people of that. Not a criticism BTW. Just an observation. Because some people who are trying to help might find it frustrating that they’re constantly being rejected because of “being a burden”. My mother has had that issue with my grandmother for about 8-years now.
