Funny Silver Surfer story...after my father in law passed away a few years ago we were cleaning out his office and came across a file box filled with random magazines and comic books. Everything just thrown together. His wife thinks they went to a yard sale years ago and he bought the box of stuff there. Going through the box I found SS1, 3, and 4! I sent them off to CGC and had them graded and they came back a 5.5, 6.5, 7.5 (white pages) respectively. We have no plans to sell them and I have them hanging behind me on the pod I do with a couple friends.
You can’t go wrong with pretty much any book this week to pick. Except that X-men, who in blue hell would pay $40k ! How many key bangers you could buy with 40k
Ah, that DD #1 will continue to haunt me. I got a copy when I was 16 from one of those mile high comics ads for back issues for $75. It was a beater copy, but I loved it. Fast forward a few years, I sold it to my lcs for bus fare and spending money to visit my best friend from high school off at college. It was a great trip, but in hindsight I should have charged it. One day, I’ll get another copy
I got a perfect raw copy of Omega Men 3 for $40 off eBay back in June. This book will continue to correct downward until we see Jason Mamoa in costume in a trailer, then it all depends on if that particular movie or his depiction sucks
People aren't respecting how hard it is to find a good centered gradable GPK. They keep throwing 35 dollar offers at my PSA 9s. NO WAY you're gonna get my 9s for a penny less than 80. You need to make a video demonstrating how difficult it is to land a gradable GPK.
Good morning Lawrence as always, I love your videos, especially the Tuesday videos because those are rare books. Anyway, obviously I will keep saying if anybody bought comic books during Covid and you try to resell. Now you are going to get your ass kicked you are not going to make your money back in general.. on the other hand if I sold my tales of suspense 39 8.5 during Covid, I would have gotten $100,000 give or take a couple of dollars that’s what Comic Link was getting for the book.. anyway, I still have my Batman 1 5.0 restored trimmed tales of suspense, 39, 8.5 amazing Spider-Man 1 6.5 amazing fantasy, 15 8.0 restored no trimming 6.0 gorgeous, no marvel chipping. X-Men. 1 7.0 fantastic four 48 9.6 weird science fantasy annual 1 9.0 there are only two copies of that book. In that condition. There are three copies, 9.2 none higher . Always looking forward to your videos especially your Tuesday videos.
No way Fantastic Four #2 should be on the list. It's been going down and down. Second appearances are not the thing for me. ASM #129 is another book that shouldn't be on the list. It's also still dropping in most grades. I think Daredevil #1 is criminally undervalued. It's an early Marvel key that's still "affordable" I'd jump on it jow and hold on to it.
All bangers. Are collectors finally getting smart and buying true keys that have had decades of financial growth? Or are we still throwing money away on "keys" that lose 90% of their value in a month? Time will tell.

Love the videos brother
I had Silver Surfer #1 and traded it away while I was in Jr.High because I was mad that Kirby was not the artist. Dumb move!
Man, L. This is one of the best lists I've seen in a while. So many cool silver and bronze age Marvels!

I feel like you could get a Giant Size X-men #1 in a 9.8 for that money

I'm probably biased, but I think that spidey 129 is far too expensive... but that's just me..
@@rossetti4444 in lower grades it def more affordable
