Humanae Vitae is a beautiful and prophetic document. I read it while still a protestant and it completely changed my perspective. Also, somewhat recenty a relatively popular Evangelical RUclipsr was asked what he thinks the future will hold for Evangelical churches' response to the current cultural trends in sexuality. His response was that there are only two logical choices: affirm everything, or adopt the Catholic position.
I'm not sure this discussion, though enlightening, earned its subtitle except maybe as part of the larger discussion. This is mostly about the damaging effects of birth control, not about what it has to do with transgenderism. Will give it another listen.
@@mariabrandell8519 I came across this discussion yesterday. Listened to the first 50 minutes or so while driving. Later, my wife coincidentally put on the new Netflix documentary, The Man with a 1000 Kids. We could only take about 10-15 minutes of it. Listened to the rest of this discussion on the way to work today. It was very thought-provoking in light of that show and seeing where we have come as a society since the "sexual revolution" of the 60s. I am so sympathetic to people who really want children and can't for some reason but I pray God gives us much much more discernment.
Contraception is definitely allowed in Islam. In fact, one can buy birth control pills OTC in a pharmacy in Saudi Arabia. I lived there for several years. Divorce is also quite easy and was surprisingly common when i was there.
"For behold, the days shall come, wherein they will say: Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that have not borne, and the paps that have not given suck." Luke 23:29
