Well let’s face it most people cannot afford the books that you have on your top 10 you have to be wealthy remember I bought most of my books when I was still bartending. I don’t work anymore but I think I told you I did buy my friends fantastic four 50 9.0 about two months ago for only $4000 and I threw in a mid grade copy of Luke cage 1 . Talking about fantastic four 4 I had a copy 7.5 I got hardly anything for that a few years ago remember it’s just recently a lot of the books took off. I also think I told you the vice president of Comic Link spoke to me on the phone about a week ago and I told him about my superman 1 5.0 moderate professional restoration no trimming he told me it’s worth a small fortune definitely somewhere in the six figures just like my amazing fantasy 15 6.0. If I ever want to sell he told me he would drive over my apartment but I can’t sell these books or my tales of suspense 39 8.5. Look at these prices you are quoting like I said most people cannot afford to do this. Unless you hit lotto.😃😃😃
Avengers 57 is undervalued/ might be worth picking up right now. Vision isn't an A list Avengers character but they will continue to use him in different Avengers related media. People focus on what the MCU is currently doing/has planned but that is short sighted imo; 57 is definitely a long term buy/hold. Plus how can you not like that cover?
Awesome videos guys. That 9.8 strange 159 I was the buyer to that book. The old label, I honestly have not received but super happy I got it for that record price, then few days later one sold for 20k plus.
My friend with a signed and commented Crow that was given to her by Golden Apple Comics years ago will be happy. Very happy with that record breaking sale this week.
I would definitely choose the tomb of Dracula with the date stamp plus it also had WhitePages the other 96 that had off-white WhitePages seems like the person that got the 96 with the date stamp got a great deal

I feel like I’m in the minority of collectors who doesn’t like cover date stamps on the comic. To me it detracts from the appearance of the comic the same way the UPC does.
Gap between hulk 6 and tales to astonish 59 was less than 5 months. Probably not a big gap 60 years ago, but this annoys me far less than when people clamor for Iron Man number 1, where there were dozens and dozens and dozens of Iron Man related books and appearances between that book and his debut.
Date Stamps are such a beauty on a book. I personally love em. Still hunting for one from when I was born. Also Tom lets direct attention away from Avengers 57. 🤨😉 Id love to upgrade my 8.0 without taking a second mortgage out on the house

I bought Caliber Presents #1 thinking it’s his first app., so it should be more valuable, right ? Wrong and had many chances to buy Crow back in the 2007-2010 but never pulled that trigger ☹️. Hopefully Caliber Presents catches up, but it’s all bout that cover !!! Can’t wait for the movie, tho !!! RIP Brandon Lee
Im still surprised old skool blue labels don't fetch a premium since there's that guarentee that it has NOT been cleaned or pressed giving it the potential of a higher regrade.
I think the page quality and date stamp copy on the TOD10 cgc 9.6 was a much better deal being a white page copy vs the off white to white 9.6 with overspray for which cgc has docked me a grade point, but too, it does depend on the grader unfortunately as their disclaimer is grading IS subjective.
If you can’t trust the grade what’s the point of grading? Im not submitting to cgc anymore. They have become unreliable like PSA. The reason I got out of cards. Prices reflect on the value based on grading. Makes the slabs pretty much worthless. Just a piece of plastic to persevere comics and that’s questionable
I've always said it, I don't buy labels I buy books, the label is just an opinion and alot of books upon closer examination are either over graded or undergraded, from a business perspective it makes no business sense for a company to offer a service that's one and done, a business only stays in business with repeat customers, so how do you get someone to have a book regraded? Well the easiest and most logical would be to under or over grade it causing it to be resubmitted, just my 2 cents
“Don’t buy the grade, buy the book” says the guys that hype up CGC and 9.8s more than anyone, knowing full well that if they were regraded half of them would be 9.6s.
I think you are a little off in your Hulk facts... He showed up multiple times after Hulk 6 before stories in TTA. JIM 112, multiple Avengers books ASM 14 to name a few
Incorrect, I have a hulk 181 9.0 and one of the only comments in the graders notes is "name/date/postal stamp on cover" otherwise it's a 9.4/9.6 all day, have seriously considered paying $200+ for a walk through resubmit
@@a.bishop7516 yeah that is a stamp probably placed by the newsstand and not the publisher. according to cgc comics their YT channel, publisher stamps which were placed from the 30’s up till around the 70’s, typically don’t effect grade and can even increase value in some cases due to pedigree. At least according to this 5 year old video lol.

The cheaper TOD 10 also had white pages, as opposed the off white pages on the 15k one.

I always look at how the book presents versus the grade. I have bought many low grade comics that present better than high grade copies.
It's amazing to see how big legacy characters like the Hulk had his series cut off due to low sales 😂
He fit better with Avengers / Secret Defenders. HULK as a stand alone character is boring.

Sometimes people with $$ will pay up for what's available at the moment. Not every book is available in high grade all the time.

Those date stamps don’t change the grade from what I remember. I think cgc explains this on their YT channel on one of their videos.
