Oh you mean where it feels like the inside of you leg muscle is twisting and feel like your bone is going to RIP through your body. All you want is that pain to subside
I feel like I just got shot in the leg, this has happened to me 3 times before, the worst part is how you know the pain will start coming and eventually build up.
i fucking know right? the pain is absolutely deadly and a few hours before a cramp you feel your legs slowly tightening. pour hot water over them and massage them. works well
This is by far the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced. I found that this only happens to me on the days when I sit cross legged for a long time without switching my legs.
Same and I was calling my mom 😩 and my mom's boss heard me screaming from her phone (she wasn't on speaker) and I'm always embarrassed to go there now. She thought I was getting killed
"what causes these cramps?" Sitting Standing Laying Walking Resting Sleeping Being awake hard surfaces Soft surfaces No surfaces Nighttime Daytime Oh cool. That clears it up.
Bored ♡ i woke up the first time I got one. And I was massaging it and it wouldn’t go away so I was gonna go run to the bathroom but once I got off the bed it went away
I’m pretty young lol and I was a bit confused when I started getting random painful leg cramps during the night. This helped me a lot to understand that I’m not crazy and it’s a real thing. These things can really hurt sometimes. I rolled out of bed this morning cause it was really bad.
I woke up last night with these for the first time and Oh My Gosh. I was biting my shirt trying to stop my screams cause it was midnight. And now, 9 hours later, I am still limping. I have never felt pain like that and never want to again
Winner of a video, I have been researching "can sciatica cause burning sensation leg?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Sonictoria Stupefying Smasher - (should be on google have a look )? Itt. is a great one of a kind product for discovering how to stopping your sciatica without the hard work. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my mate got amazing success with i
This used to happen to me almost every night back when I was a teenager, I'd wake up with excruciating pain, it was the worst. But then I found out it was because I used to sit for long periods in class without moving my legs.
Deena: My best friend in elementary school/junior high is a tall girl. It seemed like she was growing out an incredible rate, and I have a sister that’s also very tall, and she went through the same thing. It happened to her even in the summertime when she wasn’t sitting still for very long at all. Some people just have really terrible growing pains, especially in rapid growth spurts. My heart goes right out to you for that, As it did for my friend and my sister. I was never so glad not to be very tall as when witnessing that level of abjectly miserable pain. May you never know another one in Your lifetime.
It's so painful I've never wanted to scream so loud before, but I couldn't because I would've woken up an entire household. Trying to cope with the pain quietly was exhausting.
Don't try to grit it out. You will mess ur head up. You NEED help! So (let out the) scream and GET IT! Other people aren't so lucky to have ppl in the house and I can't imagine what level of aloneness those people must feel when they go through this.
I get these fairly regularly...I just bolt straight awake and have to stop myself from screaming and waking everyone else in the house up because the pain is just the worst I've ever felt.
Having leg and feet cramps hurts so much and I used to get them frequently. I don’t get them as much as before because when I start to feel the spasms, I quickly stretch either my feet or my calf and hold it for 5sec and continue til the spasm stops. It works everytime
Stretch it out immediately. It takes away almost all the pain and fixes the cramp. Massage it while stretching it. Give it a minute and you'll be completely fine. If you just let the cramp go on normally, you know the residual pain might have you limping for hours after. If you stretch it out right away and massage it, you will at most have a little sore feeling. No limping. No minutes of suffering. It's OVER as soon as you stretch it out.
@@shanenanigans27 when you wake up just habitually stretch your legs, eventually you'll just instinctively do it lol. Thankfully whenever I wake up it's right before it cramps so I always get to stretch it first.
My mum had to help me with one once. It went on for two minutes. She'd do her best to massage it, but it just wouldn't release. She could actually see my muscles spasm and quiver like I just ran a marathon. It was horrible. It scared her to death, now knowing I've been dealing with these intense muscles spasming at night.
Had a few of these before randomly while sleeping. It hurt so much I literally just started punching my leg until it stopped. Needless to say, I had a limp and one hell of a bruise for a week
I hadn't slept in 36 hours. I had to wake up within 3 hours to start my day. I knew I wasn't going to want to wake up so soon. As soon as I stretched my legs my leg went AAAAAAAHHHHHHH! 30 secs later I was so alert. The spasm didn't just wake me up. It SHOCKED me up😱😖😵
I used to get cramps in both of my legs at will, pain management doctor put me on taking magnesium and zinc supplements, for the most part leg cramps had subsided, occasionally I will get something that reminds me of cramps but overall after taking supplements I no longer get devastating crippling leg cramps, leg cramps in the water is 10 times worse than cramps on land, at one point I got leg cramps as I was swimming in my swimming pool and God have mercy on me I almost lost my breath from the pain of it, if you suffer from cramps think twice before you go in the water.
I have these cramps at least once every three months and I almost start crying it lasts for maybe 40 seconds and Pain is still their for like 4 hours after.
It's 2 am, I had a cramp I think 30 minutes ago. I remember dealing with the pain and screaming and then blacking out. Is it normal? I think I passed out during the cramp. It's sooooooo painful
That happens to me too. The Dr said I passed out because of the pain AND that I walked and the blood dropped to my lower body and out of my brain. Scary!
THIS WORKED FOR ME! An electric blanket on the lowest -- or next to the lowest -- setting. Believe me, I tried everything before, and nothing worked. Mild heat keeps the cramps from starting in the first place.
The information is pretty comprehensive and great, it mentioned all the things I found out about when I got leg cramps in the middle of the night and even tendonitis in my arm. I would add one thing, magnesium deficiency could cause leg cramps (amongst other problems), so that could have been in the "What causes nocturnal cramps" part. It is kinda weird they left that out, especially since they included magnesium supplements in their their how-to-treat section (and even then said it was for pregnant woman). Magnesium is something I looked into when I had some problems, so I tried eating a lot of wide variety of healthy food to up my magnesium levels, but I read that it takes a long time, so I tried magnesium+calcium oral supplements (they both work in tandem, magnesium relaxes muscles whilst calcium tightens it) but they made my stomach queasy, so I ordered a magnesium salve and spray from etsy for topical application. And the salve works wonders, since it goes on the skin it gets readily absorbed by the body. It really helps to keep it by your bedside and when the cramps come, you just rub some salve on your leg and it goes away. At least for me, it really helped. ALSO if flat feet can cause problems like leg cramps (or a sore knee), getting arched soles might alleviate the problem.
Thank you so much for these gems of information. You are so right the magnesium coupled with calcium supplements is a life saver as well as heat therapy!! 😌
For me, it happens at night when I'm stretching. Once I got a cramp during Endgame and I wanted to scream. I yelled, "Ow, cramp! Cramp!" while sitting in my seat. Luckily, it was during one of the loud scenes, so nobody heard except for my mom, lol.
I've had this since I was a kid. I used to cry because my sleep was disrupted. I still have it to this day. And worst part is I cramp almost everywhere, my waist, my hands, the area under the chin, inner thigh. It is annoying, and usually the cramps occurs more often when it's cold. Sometimes I can feel my calf muscles twitching as though it's about to cramp. Sucks. But I've lived with it for 2 decades. And kinda just live with it since it doesn't affect me badly.
Hi, Elfina; I sure hope you’ve gotten this resolved. I don’t know how old you are (and it’s not my business), so I can’t really try to tailor my comment to you, but I have a little information that You may need to know: Our bodies do their growing, and most of the repairs and regeneration while we sleep. If we are up half the night with horrible pains, or sleep is otherwise being disrupted, then our health can suffer for it. It’s just not obvious this is going on, as it happens over the long term. If it’s been going on for so long with you, it’s worth mentioning at your next medical check up, or in passing to your local pharmacist or public health nurse. There are different reasons that this can happen, but if you’ve been having it for this long, there’s a chance that it’s disrupting your overall health. If your nutrition is well balanced, with lots of greens, and you’re getting a soak in a tub or at least a bucket with your feet in warm water with Epson salt and baking soda in the evenings, and nothing’s resolving, then it’s probably not magnesium deficiency, or at least not that alone. If you’re cramping up like that and it’s body wide, Perhaps you could contemplate what’s going on in your life at the times when it happens, or just before it happens. Are those times when you’ve been sick, have had digestive upset, have been going through some personal stress, have been working out or exerting yourself more than normal…? That sort of thing could be useful when you go to talk with your medical professional for help. If it happens all the time, with no variation, that’s also important to know. If you log them on your calendar, the time that they happen, and duration, and maybe a rating of the severity, that might also help. ❤️
Initially it started on my left leg, then few minutes later my right leg started to have the same cramps. The worst night ever, I was really screaming in pain.
I learned of a safe and effective remedy. I observed my friend try it successfully and the next time I experienced a cramp, I tried it and the cramp disappeared about 2 seconds after consuming a teaspoon of plain prepared mustard. Apparently when the mustard gets to your throat, it somehow triggers your brain to relax your cramped muscle. I've heard pickle juice works as well. I keep a small container of mustard, from a fast food outlet, on my nightstand.
I am 75, and have been getting this since my 20s. Originally I was prescribed quinine, and this worked, but is no longer prescribed in the UK. However I now drink Tonic Water every night and very rarely get it now (perhaps once a year) I find that the cheaper supermarket Tonic Waters don't work, and now drink a 125ml can of Fever Tree tonic water every night.
AS SOON AS I FEEL IT COMING I JUMP OUT OF BED FAST AND START WALKING AND IT GOES AWAY FAST. Ok now Inner thighs are different I almost died. Thats what im struggling with now😔 let me know if the walk it out technique helps you at all😋
For me when I feel it coming on some times I try to jump up to walk it off but the cramp will drop me I can’t stand up and it’s worst I have to just ride it out and then try to get up but it’s so awful
I’ve had these cramps ever since I was a kid and now have the perfect way to relieve these cramps, works every time (for me anyway) Step 1: run your leg(s) under the shower/bath taps. As hot as you can bear for around 5 minutes or until you feel your cramps have somewhat subsided. Step 2: wear thick socks and tightly bound your legs with a scarf, towel, anything you can find. Doesn’t matter the material what matters is for it to be as TIGHT as you can bear. Breathe through the pain and by God’s grace it should subside. I really hope this method helps a few people and if so, let me know!
I found that grabbing the muscle helps. I get cramps in my inner thigh more than the calf. Last night both at the same time. I literally cried and begged God to make it stop.
I have SUFFERED with cramps my entire adult life. Arms.hands, fingers, foot, etc. But leg cramps, hamstring in particular were most brutal. I have tried every supplement, calcium, potassium, magnesium, salt, and many others and nothing worked. Day in and day out for 30 plus years of my adult life. I worked hard as a brick, stone, and block layer. Finally a Dr. prescribed Amitriptyline. 5 MGs a day. Instant relief for about 5 years and then they returned. Increased dose to 25mg's but no relief. Suffered again for years. Not just while sleeping but anytime after being active. I mean every evening/night. I read where Apple Vinegar Cider with "mother's/unpasteurized" would work to alleviate cramps. One teaspoon in a glass of water 3 times a day. I cannot stand the stuff so I just do once a day. IMMEDIATELY my cramps have stopped. Had an inkling of cramps when I missed a couple days in a row but mild. I've learned I can add a teaspoon of powdered drink mix to make it more palatable. It works. It really works. May be it'll be like the Amitriptyline and stop working too someday but it has been an instant godsend to me. Hope this helps any other sufferers. Seriously GIVE IT A TRY.
I used to have severe leg cramps in calf and groin, please don’t dismiss the symptoms, I was diagnosed with grade 4 mantle cell lymphoma, I have sometimes had to have a hot shower, and this works a treat.
I am brought to tears with these muscle spasms. I get them night and day, in my feet, toes, my soles, ankles, shins, calves, even in my knees. It’s frightening. I need assistance to straighten my feet and legs. They last anything from minute to on and off for hours, I’m left so fatigued and sore. I take Celtic sea salt, magnesium. I have a tens machine, a massager, I’ve had acupuncture, that was so painful when she put the pins in my ankles, the pain, they also bled. She had to remove them. Never again. It is now making walking very difficult, I get tired dead legs so quickly. Hence why I’m here looking for clues as to what could be going on. I have the starting of bad circulation diagnosed a year ago. I have fibromyalgia for 15 years, that has mainly affected my muscles.
Whilst I was exiting sleeping bed, placing innocent feet upon floor to stand, wicked, wicked leg cramps suddenly attacked both leg-calf muscles AT THE SAME TIME! Such intensity knocked me to the floor. I landed near my precious, sweet, sleeping Lab (she's a 'Precious elderly, gentle lady,' now), and we BOTH cried aloud, each experiencing our own trauma and confusion as a result of the the pain and loving concern for the other! To make matters even worse, as I was lying on the floor next to her, writhing in stunning, debilitating pain, unable to stand, we BOTH watched helplessly as my feet actually curled inward (ala 'Wicked Witch of the West') due to the merciless, unforgiving leg spasms. (We both nearly fainted.) Today, I am truly astonished I've survived such a merciless, painful attack in order to share such a traumatic, life-changing experience.
Leg cramps can kick rocks. Just had an episode this morning and looked this video up. My leg is still hurting. One more of these and I'm getting rid of my leg...
You can almost always stop a calf cramp in its tracks by stretching -- pulling your toe toward your head. Foot cramps are worse and when they spread to your shin they are even worse still. I now do a stretch for the shin before bed where you sit on hour heals with your toes pointing behind you. None of that compares to the double back of the thigh cramp I had once. I fainted -- which I recommend -- because everything was fine when I regained consciousness. Now I make sure I drink a lot of electrolyte water and exercise and stretch the morning after a really exhausting work day. Foot cramps are the one I can't seem to beat.
MakeMeThinkAgain: I’m trying to put this one together myself. It’s not something I really have had in my lifetime except maybe for the odd charley-horse as a child, but After a long bout with Covid, my digestive tract was really badly ulcerated so I couldn’t eat for a long period of time, and I’m still trying to regulate that whole digestive problem. It just all started one day, I got those cramps in my whole body. Body muscles as well as limb muscles. It doesn’t help that if I don’t filter the heck out of my water, it gets 10 times worse, meaning that any minerals that were in the water, don’t go into the body. So right now it’s about the supplements. One thing that I’m finding works OK for the foot cramps, which are absolutely brutal, are soaking The feet in a bucket of the warmest water I can tolerate, that has a lot of Epson salt dissolved in it, along with baking soda to keep it from drying the skin right out. If you’ve got a dry skin problem or eczema or anything along those lines, consider taking a handkerchief and putting some oats in a sock and squeezing the water through the sock and the Aveeno would probably help your skin a lot. (I do seniors’ feet, and that particular addition has helped a lot of people with really delicate skin.) So it needs to be at least 20 minutes long, and I keep the kettle plugged in nearby so that I can warm up the water as I need to, but what really works the best if You have access, is a hot tub with jets with those same things in the water. I hope you’ve already got your problem resolved, but if not, this is at least a cheap way to get lots of magnesium into your body quickly through your skin. If you have a juicer, you can also juice a beet raw And drink it as a shooter. Definitely want to have a nice orange juice or something on standby to chase it, because it has a really earthy taste that even parsley won’t take away. Beets have something called betaine, which Impart flexibility to blood vessels, so that even if the Smallest vessels in your extremities constrict, you shouldn’t be painful, and your body will have an easier time getting nutrition to those tiniest places in your body. When my migraines were at their worst, every morning I would drink a shot of beet juice and chase it with orange juice mixed with either celeriac root or fennel root juice. It’s also possible to put a straw far enough back in your mouth that you can skip most your taste buds, but not stimulate the gag reflex, to get it into you. It took some serious getting used to, and sucking on an ice cube first to numb the taste buds, but I found that vascular migraines dropped off dramatically as long as I was drinking that stuff every day. It may be time to get back to that in my case, just to see if it can help out with the feet. If you’ve got a solution that works for you, I’d be very interested in hearing all about that. I hope you’re doing well, and I wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year.❤️
Got 5 of these yesterday night and went to sleep just to wake up minutes later from another one. I once felt a void of emptiness but that felling has just been filled with horrendous pain 🌚
This is so painful! I have had so many leg cramps. And I've had them for so long. I got my first one with 11/12 when I was in the pool during swimming class. I'm 17 now, and a Ballerina, but every "littlest" dance calf exercise and I'm out for the night. Just had one tonight, after dance calf exercise... But the worst happened once when I had 1-2 extremely painful cramps a night, for ten days. And guess what, that was during my 10-day long vacation where I didn't even have ballet. And no stretching or advice from 10k different doctors or banana eating or taking medicine, nothing makes it go away or be less intense.
Sarah Pahl: I’m so sorry for what you’ve been going through. I certainly hope that you’ve got it resolved by now. If so, please do comment as to how you made it happen. My father swears by drinking pickle juice when it happens. He has a few tablespoons and says it takes care of the problem. I was sick for a long period of time with Covid, and it went through my digestive tract which had the effect of ulcerating everything so I couldn’t eat properly for a very long period of time. Definitely electrolyte balance and malnutrition problems. Periods of stress can do the same thing. So if your doctor isn’t finding any problems, consider soaking in the hot tub at night, with the water is warm as you can handle it and lots of electrolyte fluids chilled to enjoy during the soak. Perhaps stick your laptop on the counter with a movie playing, depending on how loud your hot tub is, and put in quarter of a cup of baking soda and 2 cups of Epson salts. Try taking a nice soak before bed, and you may have to do it for a few days in a row, in addition to being careful to eat extra greens and perhaps even getting extra minerals in your diet. If you only have a shower and no tub, consider investing in a scrubbing bucket that you could use to soak your feet as you watch some television or study in the evenings. Quarter of a cup of baking soda and half a cup of Epson salts would do the trick, and definitely want to be there at least 20 minutes with your feet in the hottest water you can comfortably handle. If you do this, have your towel on standby, and have an electric kettle plug-in close by so that you can chop up the water to warm it from time to time, as it cools off pretty quickly in a bucket. Another thing that might be important to consider, Is that you can still be growing after the age of 20, although some teachers will tell you that your growth plates close much earlier than that, you can end up with periods of time where you get intense growing pains, and they are almost indistinguishable from charley-horse - type of pain, especially in the long muscles, in the legs, and especially in the feet where the blood vessels are small. I’ve recommended to somebody else that they could try having a shot of Beet juice in the morning, with a juice chaser, possibly with celery react, celery, or a bit of fennel juice in with some orange juice as the chaser. If there’s a circulatory component to the pain, this should help. You could have it more than once a day, but the beet juice is pretty yucky, flavour wise. And has to be made right when you’re going to use it, because if you make it the day before The enzymes in it will start to gel If it’s there for a while. And that’s just impossible to gag back. Anyway, that same remedy worked really well for me for vascular migraines, so I’m hoping that it’ll help for problems with leg cramps. I’m about to start back on that very protocol today, but was just reading down through this comment section to see if somebody else had a problem figured out without me having to go to that. ❤️
Cramping in the pool is lactate buildup from kicking in a swim stroke. This is why you notice athletic competitors move their arms and drag their feet in competitions.
I’m old now, ex marathon runner, cramps forever. In 2010 in had cancer, lots of chemo. The chemo killed the cancer, beat up my heart and caused massive neuropathy in my feet. I had to learn to live with massive cramping until I found a podiatrist on RUclips selling toe spacers. I found a sport shoe shop in Auckland, New Zealand that sold the same brand, cost me $90 but pain disappears when I sleep with them on. Good luck.
There may be other causes but for me it was a dehydration problem. This is why this happens mostly at night, when you don't drink water. I have a lungs issue causing them to loose humidity which dehydrates my body. During the day I keep drinking water every hour, and so I do during the night as my sleep is bad and I wake up every hour when I turn in my bed - I have a bottle of Powerade with water by my bed - the plastic beak is easy to use - I take a sip every hour. While hydration keeps these cramps away, there is another underlying reason for these cramps - probably blood vessel problem around the area of that muscle, or maybe even a nerve issue from lower vertebras affecting the spinal cord
I had nocturnal leg cramp in both my calfs at the same time. I swear i felt death at my doorstep. Then one of them calmed down but my roght leg kept going and would come and go in waves every 20-40 seconds making me think it went away jsut to come back. I usually sleep in a fetal position to prevent myself from stretching as it happens when I stretch my legs at night if I did a lot of physical activity the day before. Best way I find it calms down instantly is pickle juice. Pickles stopped it in right away.
Honestly the pain of a leg cramp starts to feel like a bullet when you first get it. Afterwards it still feels horrible but you have to stand up and literally fight the pain by walking. I know a lot of pregnant women will have problems with this so try your hardest to stand on that leg muscle that cramping, even if you have to wake some one up to help you at 3 am
Prolonged or frequent squatting during the day was causing my noct leg cramps. There may be other factors but working in squatting and kneeling positions almost guaranteed one or both legs cramping up to 12 hrs later, usually early a.m. asleep.
My mom always told me to sit up and pull your toes back toward you as soon as you feel a Charley Horse coming on. It may feel like you can't but try and ease into it. If you catch it early enough it helps with preventing some of the really intense pain. I went a few years without one and forgot this technique tonight! 😭 Try it out the next time and see if it helps. Drink lots of water too 🙂 best of luck, everyone.
Yes, If I can caught the first pain I can stop the from coming harder. Sometime I'm on the road driving. Its depends how the traffic is to pull over and stand up. Sometime its to late to stand the attack be on, scream, scream.
The “what to do” part made me laugh. When it happens to me, there’s no way I’m walking during it, way too painful. And I’ve tried moving my feet, but they’re almost paralysed when it happens. I just have to hold my calf and massage until it stops. Usually I scream, lol.
Omg yess, it hurts so bad even moving my arm away from massaging it is something I can’t do. And then after I can’t walk for a day because it aches so bad😂
This happens to me sometimes. If I feel a cramp coming on in my calf or the muscle getting ready to cramp and I'm lying down, I immediately get out of bed, stand myself up and this usually stops the cramp before it happens.
My thigh locks up so hard and fast. I have to jump out of bed. I am not able to walk. It almost seems like my legs are seizing up with the most excruciating pain. For me the only thing that makes it subside guzzling at least a liter of room temperature water. Even after I'm able to move it's not freely. I can feel one wrong move and it'll be back with a vengeance. It's even happened to both thighs at the same time. I thought I was going to die. Water water water is the key.
as a student i actually experience this a lot. Im a school council member and always do a lot of work so after i got home being tired when i tried stretching while laying on my bed i suddenly got leg cramps and usually it takes hours for the pain to go away but sometimes it take days for it.
i’m 15 and i’ve got them 3 times in a row now waking me up at 4/5 in the morning they actually hurt so bad glad to know they are an actual thing though
As someone who gets leg cramps often (in the calves) while sleeping. Straight legs while sleeping will cause this very often. So i always sleep with my legs bent at a 45 degree angle.
Great advice. I have noticed if I fall asleep on the couch with my legs straight out, I can get terrible leg cramps. I don't when in bed because my legs are always bent.
These usually happen in the mornings not at night. This is due to stretching of relaxed muscles as your legs had hours of non activity in bed. When you stretch these muscles the wrong way after a long period of inactivity, you get a sharp "knife chopping" feeling like someone is cutting your leg off.
My doctor solved the leg cramp problem for me. Strangely, the answer was tonic water because it contains quinine, which (for reasons I can't fathom), relieves or rather prevents the leg cramps. I drink at least 8 oz. of tonic water (I like the diet Schweppes best) every day. I have also found that magnesium carbonate (found in a product called "Calm") helps to some degree, but it was the quinine that finally did the trick for me. Hope this helps. p.s. since quinine slows blood platelet formation, don't over-do the quinine, and do be sure to eat some eggs regularly and also eat dark leafy greens regularly---these measures will ensure that your blood platelet count stays high and will counteract any negative effect of the quinine. p.p.s. what I'd really like to know is, how does quinine inhibit nocturnal leg cramps???
Benjamin Ficus: I’ve noticed that a lot of the same things that benefit people with migraines, seem to benefit people with this sort of problem. Feverfew, which is an herb that can be used to treat migraines, also contains hydroquinone. It doesn’t work for stress migraines, but for every other type it works all right treat, assuming you’re using the right kind of feverfew, Yes some of them have no medicinal properties. I’m not encouraging anybody to self medicate here, but in desperation I had turned to feverfew when none of the other medication that the doctor prescribed worked, outside of the opiates. Opiates are not really something I want to have to take since migraines were pervasive in daily, and very severe, Plus there are tendencies toward addiction in my family. So I did a little research and found out about feverfew. It worked for me, just one leaf or blossom in a gel in a Capsule at first prodromal indicator that was on the way, and it worked inside 20 minutes, leaving none of the post trouble hangover or side effects that all the other meds left. Somebody online told me that she took a leaf &/or blossom every day, whether or not there’s a migraine, after 10 months the migraines subsided substantially and That for some people, doing this caused the migraines to disappear completely. Since that person had all but cured her own migraine condition, I gave it a shot. And that actually made a huge difference in my case. Perhaps I’m ready to start back with it, well I’m figuring this out for my feet and legs, since it’s possible that there’s a circulatory component. In the meantime, tonic water is delicious, so that’ll be easy to start today as well. Did you figure out what actually caused The onset of your leg cramping? To begin with, I mean. Mine happened after a long period of sickness. It affected my ability to eat, so I’m thinking that mine’s probably about depleted minerals, But until the problem is resolved I guess I won’t know. Not for sure anyway. In terms of vascularity, beet juice does an awesome job if you have it every morning. At least it did A lot to help me out with migraines, and I’m ready to start taking it again at this point. If you decide to give that a shot, be sure to have a good chaser, as beet juice is not a delicious flavor. Juices that are synergistic, might be best made with a juicer before putting the beats in it so that the Chaser doesn’t end up tasting as bad as the beet juice. The chase recipe that worked for me, was orange juice combined with one of Fennel, celeriac root, or a stick of celery juice. Your problem is solved, and I’m so glad for you, but since you’re wondering about quinine and why it might work, my thinking is that some of this might add up for you; it seems to make sense for me. In terms of the calcium carbonate, that’s what eggshells are composed of. I’ve just started working on putting together my own forms of that for my personal consumption, but haven’t started using them yet. It’s possible to rinse your shells after you’ve broken egg, and put them on a cookie sheet and put them in the oven to give them a roast so that the Salmonella which every egg has is dead. You could also boil the shells up, And dry them on a cookie sheet. (The cooled water is awesome for your plants.) Then you can grind the shells to powder and take them in gelatin capsules, and some people take the finest powder and add to the morning smoothie. Other people put vinegar on the bits of shell in a glass jar, and leave it to dissolve the calcium. They add this to the morning smoothie. I have no idea as to whether it can just be used in vinegar form, or how it will taste. I just got back from a few weeks away, so I guess I’m going to find out today, whether I can just use it in vinegar, as it only went into the first batch before I went away. It occurs to me to mention that if you’re taking calcium, it might not be a bad idea to have greens in your diet every day or every other day, as there’s a link between calcium “calcifying” blood vessels in people with a propensity towards arteriosclerosis, with certain types of arrhythmias, certain types of arthritis and bursitis…. Vitamin K and Vitamin K2, both of which are in green, leafy foods, function to help your body with repair and recovery, and the second to send calcium to the right places and to take it out of the wrong places, to help maintain your health. Vitamin K needs some fats royals in order for your body to absorb them, like a little salad dressing or a little pat of butter or margarine. Just a little something to discuss with your own nutritionist or other medical person, that might prove to be helpful, by way of giving back. Thanks again for your advice. It’s very, very appreciated.❤️
It always happens to me when I stretch my leg in the middle of the night. I guess I tense up my calf when I do this cause I all of the sudden get this awful pain in my calf and I have to sit up and hold my legs cause I’m in so much AGONYYY. It’s weird cause during this my calf muscles feel weird and hard like they’re all twisted tightly together. It’s awfulllll
I’m 13 n have been having these cramps since I was 7-8 went to a doctor they said it was calcium deficiency I still take calcium tablets yet I’m here at 3 am their video has really helped me Also it helps if u pop ur toes n fold ur leg n sit like it reduces the pain
It’s gamergurl911: You’re so young to have this problem. I sure hope it has already passed. Consider speaking with your pharmacist about eating extra green leafy vegetables Every day, with a little bit of salad dressing that contains oil, as the vitamin K helps your body to put calcium where it needs to go, and helps your body take it out of any place where it shouldn’t be. The oil is absolutely necessary in order to use certain vitamins in your body, as they can’t be absorbed without it. Most salad dressings, or a little bit of butter on your greens will do.❤️
@@Zhangbase : probably. If you read the label on your bottle that it comes in, it’ll tell you if there’s oil in there. Or if Somebody at your house makes it, you can check the recipe. I don’t really eat ranch dressing myself, so I’m not really 100% sure. But most salad dressing does contain oil.
When I take ZINC and Magnesium together it is the only way to stop my leg cramps at night. ZINC 50 mg and minimum of 250 mg of MAGNESIUM. IT WORKS EVERY TIME.
Maybe if it's MILD. These spasms can get very extreme.
I wish I could remember to do this when I'm half asleep and don't know what's happening.
@@shanenanigans27 when you wake up just habitually stretch your legs, eventually you'll just instinctively do it lol.

Scary!
This happened to me too. Did you ever figure out the cause
Good tip i use is that just stand up, the pain leaves in 2 seconds. It may be hard to stand up but believe me it helps.
THIS WORKED FOR ME! An electric blanket on the lowest -- or next to the lowest -- setting. Believe me, I tried everything before, and nothing worked. Mild heat keeps the cramps from starting in the first place.
Great tip yes that electric blanket is a muscle spasm lifesaver!!!
POV: you looked up for this after you had a leg cramp
Velma Bowens
Oh Lord
Hi, Elfina; I sure hope you’ve gotten this resolved. I don’t know how old you are (and it’s not my business), so I can’t really try to tailor my comment to you, but I have a little information that You may need to know:
Our bodies do their growing, and most of the repairs and regeneration while we sleep.
I've never had it on both legs at the same time before. I feel bad for you m8 but I get the pain, I just had one like an hour ago.
I was on vacation and I swear I woke with one that lasted like 2 minutes. The next day was a nightmare
The next day it can be hard to walk from the soreness.

I’ve had these cramps ever since I was a kid and now have the perfect way to relieve these cramps, works every time (for me anyway)
Step 1: run your leg(s) under the shower/bath taps.

I get this pain in the arch of my foot, and I feel like screaming, it’s WORSE than stepping on a log.
Wow so detailed
That’s exactly how it feels, all right.
(I do seniors’ feet, and that particular addition has helped a lot of people with really delicate skin.)
So it needs to be at least 20 minutes long, and I keep the kettle plugged in nearby so that I can warm up the water as I need to, but what really works the best if You have access, is a hot tub with jets with those same things in the water.

This is so painful! I have had so many leg cramps. And I've had them for so long. I got my first one with 11/12 when I was in the pool during swimming class.
Good luck.
I have been getting these since I was a little kid! I’m just happy I never got one while pregnant! 😅
This happens to me in the middle of the night one time, probably the worst pain I have ever felt.
Thank you very much for very informative video. From Sydney Australia 😊
This happens to me sometimes. If I feel a cramp coming on in my calf or the muscle getting ready to cramp and I'm lying down, I immediately get out of bed, stand myself up and this usually stops the cramp before it happens.
"Walk around" Well shit, I can't get up!
Yes, although people say "walk around" I can't get up either.
Same I have ppl screaming at me get up walk around I’m yelling if I could I would I try to get up but it drops me it’s awful pain
this only happens to me when i wake up and stretch to hard
Me too lol i also learned Not to bend my legs before or after getting out of bed in fear of thigh charly horses, i just slide my legs out of bed lol
I was scrolling through discord on my phone and my thigh was like ↘️↙️⬇️🔃
Same actually
Single leg or both legs?
i’m 15 and i’ve got them 3 times in a row now waking me up at 4/5 in the morning they actually hurt so bad glad to know they are an actual thing though
Whenever I get one I can't help but cry and scream :(
These usually happen in the mornings not at night. This is due to stretching of relaxed muscles as your legs had hours of non activity in bed. When you stretch these muscles the wrong way after a long period of inactivity, you get a sharp "knife chopping" feeling like someone is cutting your leg off.
Just got another cramp tonight felt like someone shot my leg I think it was from my fast walk
(The cooled water is awesome for your plants.)
Then you can grind the shells to powder and take them in gelatin capsules, and some people take the finest powder and add to the morning smoothie.
It’s awfulllll
avoid stretching with your leg, it happens to me and it really hurts! be careful!
Yep, when I stretch it at night not meaning to and it starts to cramp up 🥴😩
I’m 13 n have been having these cramps since I was 7-8 went to a doctor they said it was calcium deficiency I still take calcium tablets yet I’m here at 3 am their video has really helped me
Also it helps if u pop ur toes n fold ur leg n sit like it reduces the pain
It’s gamergurl911: You’re so young to have this problem. I sure hope it has already passed.
Consider speaking with your pharmacist about eating extra green leafy vegetables Every day, with a little bit of salad dressing that contains oil, as the vitamin K helps your body to put calcium where it needs to go, and helps your body take it out of any place where it shouldn’t be. The oil is absolutely necessary in order to use certain vitamins in your body, as they can’t be absorbed without it. Most salad dressings, or a little bit of butter on your greens will do.❤️
@@daphneraven6745 ranch?
@@Zhangbase : probably. If you read the label on your bottle that it comes in, it’ll tell you if there’s oil in there.
Or if Somebody at your house makes it, you can check the recipe.
I don’t really eat ranch dressing myself, so I’m not really 100% sure. But most salad dressing does contain oil.
This happend to me while pooping
i just cant imagine LOLLLLLL
God be with you
That sucks
Aizawa tf you doing online
Feels bad
When I take ZINC and Magnesium together it is the only way to stop my leg cramps at night. ZINC 50 mg and minimum of 250 mg of MAGNESIUM. IT WORKS EVERY TIME. My Cramps are very painful and I have to get out of bed and put my legs down and force them down to walk. Within minutes the Cramps do Stop. The cramps are very painful, but my only solution really works for me.
Genuinely one of my biggest fears
my nocturnal leg cramps (which usually happens in the middle of the night) wakes me up immediately as the cramp happens and it's so annoying bc i find it hard to go to sleep again. and my cramps are so painful to the point where i limp all day.
I was yelling and saying curse words Because of leg cramp.
Omy THESE ARE *AGONIZING* ! Trying *every suppliment & water water water. . .*
I just had one-so painful I couldn’t move or say anything. My mom said to walk on it right away but it was too tense.
thank you, it help me for my mother, I teach her what to do despite to cry loudly
Always take care of your Mom. She's your best friend.
Suffer from this once a weak 💀😎😎😂 Randomly
Me too 😭😭😭
i recommend filming these it looks cool man
Those old folks @0:40 are hitting those weights hard,I just hope they don't hurt themselves.
I take electrolytes daily and stretch my calves on a angle board. As an octogenarian, it works for me.
I'm 15 and when I gey these it hurts so bad sometimes I feel like I cant move, I have to sometimes roll on to the floor and try and stand up and walk around and it usually gets better with in 10-30 minuets
I just had a cramps on both my legs and I immediately found this right now. Kinda help.
I have had it three times lately, and one thing I advise NOT to do is rub the muscle as it is happening, it made the pain so much worse( and it's bad enough!)
I’m 14 and i’m already getting these.. than again i have marching band practice almost everyday 😂😂
I'm watching this at 1am after woken up my excruciating hamstring cramps that lasted almost 5min. It felt like if I got shot on my legs (yes, I've been shot so I know how it feels). Great Video . Very y helpful. 👍
You absolutely have not.
