Best bike Honda ever made. I wish they would bring it back.

I used nuts and bolts in my VFR750 tank and then Evaporust followed by a tank sealing compound. Never had a problem after that. The Deauvilles are great bikes, I had the 650 for a couple of years and aside from maintenance I never had to do anything to it. 95 mph and 70 mpg, and a nice light bike with good weather protection.

@@peter7624 glad you got it sorted, there seems a few good ways that work. How long was yours standing to rust?

@@vroomroom1 I can't be sure, I bought it used from a dealer. It could have been a long-standing problem, but I like my bikes to be right, so it had to be done.

Fantastic bike love the dash, looks like a car.
Pity Honda don’t make a bike like it today, I don’t like the NT1100 it looks like every other bike Honda make and I hate the big TFT screen.
I’m actually looking out for a Deauville 700 it’s just the perfect bike for me!

Great Job! It would be nice to see it all finished after you detail it, if possible. Cheers from the USA!

My story is similar. The motorcycle has been sitting for 8 years. After cleaning the fuel tank and replacing the fuel pump, it runs perfectly. I have a small problem with it, the aftermarket fuel pump has an unpleasant whistling sound. I would really appreciate it if you could share with me what type of pump You used./maybe a link/. Sorry for my poor English, but it's not my first language. Thank You in advance for your answer.

@@chiagochico hi, great that you a taking on this project and will be saving this bike. The pump I got was just a aftermarket one from eBay, was only cheap but seems to have done the job. Sounds like you were a bit unlucky with the one you got. Sorry but I no longer have a link. Good luck hopefully you will sort it. 👍

@@mrmoon1482 would have thought it would be a fair bit more to insure the pan as it's a much larger CC. The Deauville is lighter and overall the running costs would be less 👍
