The narrative of reliability only falls to people who don't know what they're buying. This is a very good deal at sub 2M. Even if you kill the transmission every 4 years, u will never spend enough on replacement to warrant buying the noah or Step wagon at 2.7M. Same case with the note E12. Very much value for money and class leading technology and practicality. Good review!

Nissan serena is king in South East Asia i.e Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia the Filipines and the rest and they buy it new remember they have more cars on the roads than we have, better roads and well equipment garages and better mechanics I gues we opt for Toyota for kack of better roads
There are several Kenyan garages and mechs that have become world class at fixing CVTs thanks to all the Nissans and Subarus on the roads. Just need to go to the right ones. Manual would be my preference too.
Nissan cars are good value, have great fuel economy, and have nice interiors. But the transmission is a sure bet to fail no matter how well you maintain it or how smoothly you drive it. From my experience with a Nissan CVT, I have seen it all in the garages. Never again. First of all, that's a hybrid, it doesn't require that aftermarket transmission cooler, anyway, good luck to those who do buy this thing. You will need it!!
My comment would be, yes its not a fast car depending on the driver 😂, i have the c26 and av never changed the gearbox just normal 45k mileage cvt fluid change and she runs nice, sai i am entering 190k kms and still moves well, sasa ni masaa ya upgrade to this, si we trade in
Japanese buy brand new cars, use it for seven years n sell, they are not bothered with maintenance. We Kenyans buy mutumba , we need a car that can stand poor roads, and can be fixed easily by a roadside mechanic

I believe if one follows the following steps 1. Buy a good one - ensure proper pre-purchase inspection if possible get a low mileage unit (call 0700088111 and book one) 2. Install an aftermarket oil cooler as soon as you make the purchase 3. Drive it gently don’t go racing with other cars on the road 4. Ensure strict maintenance routine with quality parts If you do this this car will serve you pregame efficiently

Toyota cars are the most overrated and overpriced cars in this world of Kenya. I would most definitely buy this Serena. Nissan all the way man!
