Awesome video. Just bought a KLR for my first bike. Thanks for the instruction.

    Best tip for new riders:
Light input on the rear brake at low speed will stabilize the bike and help with overall balance.
Extremely helpful in stop and go traffic, stop lights, u-turning etc..

So if you’re in like stop n go traffic are you using 100% rear ?

Broke off my front brake and have been riding with just the back brake for a few days. I can attest that stop and go traffic, the back brake is fine to use 100%. Just make sure to be mindful of speed and engage the clutch earlier

I have a tighter circle and less erratic bog down and thrust by using more throttle , and consistent clutch level, but drag the back brake. I was told in msf that this was not a good habit, but I find it far superior . And this is the method used by the cops who do those awesome low speed technical police bike rodeos.
MAKE sure you practice these on both a level parking lot and on a parking lot with a slope , so you can get used to having to use more throttle for half the turn and less for the the downhill part of the turn.
If you haven’t paid attention to the slope of the lot , you may find the bike was bogging down not because of your actions but due to increase in slope grade, even a slight increase in slope will affect some bikes .

I use more gas and drag the brake to go even slower and tighter . I just started riding again so watching klr videos. I found my biggest problem coming back to riding is hand fatigue. I’d be ok barehanded or in utility gloves , but my mk4 handroids , my hands hurt after a few stop signs lol. They are brand new though.
