I built my RS out of a 19X, it's by far my best shooting pistol. Like yours I didn't do much with the frame, it's grippy enough IMO. When I got my first G19, I put about 1300 rounds through it in the first go, it was 2 boxes of every kind of FMJ I could find, plus 100 each of 124gr Gold Dots and HST's
I still carry my Fauxland Special a bit, but I prefer the full-size grip and trigger break of my G17.5. I'd like to try a G45 with the KKM comp and barrel, I bet it'd be perfect for me.
KKM didn't use 1/2-24 thread on the 9mm barrel because it is weak and can break. If you've ever seen the cross-section, you would understand, it's thin as hell.
I have a g19.5 with an rmr and x300 that I have been running for a few months. Got a radian afterburner & ramjet coming for it, and I was able to snag a used KKM barrel and comp for cheap to play with as well.
Mostly just leavin this comment for the rythm. Not a huge fan of roland specials, always thought they were kind of a fad, and with them not bein the most reliable i prob still wouldnt own one. Also i dont like glock 19s,they just dont fit my hand. But i always look forward to seein vids from u guys, and im glad u were willin to show yurs off on camera
Rolands ARE reliable if you stick with the recipe! It is to be used with +p or +p+ defense ammo. The problems occur when people try to run light power loads which the Roland was never designed to shoot.
@@dougwgi know, i just dont see the point in it tho. I dont think some higher velocity handgun rounds are gonna give u that much of an advantage. Then theres adding more recoil to yur gun in order to reliably run a recoil reduction device. But hey man if u like em and it works for u i thi k thats great
@@DWAIvideos Appreciate the response. Looks like they're out of stock there too. I guess I'll have to roll the dice on a knock off if Grip Force doesn't come back to market.
I'm here to support the channel. For da Algo!
A real hero.

Everything ran thru the kkm comp+barrel ok? Its a rare combo when it does apparently.
@@DWAIvideosYeah, but I pretty much only shoot Winchester 9 NATO-spec and Speer Lawman 124gr through it
@@fender_ketchup keep em all in the A zone. 🤝
@@DWAIvideos I know Open-Minor is an empty class in USPSA, but I'm thinking about it next year🤔
I'm sorry I only know it as the Kelly from BSEC special.
🫨 shit u got me.
Awesome 👍

Nah hoe! They used the dif pitch thread so that you can get a better fit of comp to the slide yo!

I run an 11lb spring on my Roland special and it functions great with any kind of ammo. Straight shooting with no recoil at all.
Sometimes with a 13lb spring my Glock won’t go back into battery all the way :(
I’d show you my Roland inspired setup, but I’d have to put it back together 😂 Looking at getting a new comp though.
What comp
I've always wondered what a "roland special" actually was. I've seen the name thrown around a lot but never got it
I hope this was informative. I’ve tried to replicate the RS as close as possible from what I have researched.
Yeah these days people apply it to any concealed carry gun with a red dot, x300 or similar light, and a comp.

Which beavertail did you use? I've been searching for a Grip Force Adapter for a while now, but all I can find are mystery meat knock offs.
Pretty sure its the NDZ performance one

Weird, I’ve never gotten slide bite…
I have big hands so that could also be a potential factor. My fat gets squished upward 😭
can you scan that discontinued mag well and throw it up in r/fosscad for the bois, ty.
That would be so cool
