My favorite G19 grip for all the reasons you mentioned. It’s also helpful that the Grit Grips people are rock stars with customer service and shipping.
Dude i was having server issues and couldn’t complete my order so i put in a customer service ticket and within a couple hours i had a response asking for some more details so they could help but i had shut my wifi off and that seemed to fix my issue. All in all super good team over there!
Got mine a couple weeks ago and it beats both my G19.5 and my Poly 80s for ergonomics. I put a Glock OEM extended slide release and a GlockStore extended slide take down slide lock in it.
Love you content man! Recently just got the 19x based a lot on your review of it. Just bought one of your hats too. As an Arizona resident myself, always happy to find and support channels in my state. Especially for those who support our 2nd amendment rights 💪
I was gifted a gen 3. Just ordered the full slide and upper kit w/ Holosun 407c. Best deal Ive found for a cut slide and optic. Ill receive it this week!
Looks like a sale to me, I just wished they sold the entire pistol fully assembled in a turn key package. But it doesn't take long to throw a G19 together. Thanks for the review, and comparison to the Dusk 19 which was what I was thinking about before seeing this.
Yea, but I get why they don't. Selling complete firearms is an extra expense. There's extra fees and taxes if you sell complete firearms over something like complete slides and frames separate. With that said. As much as I like this frame. I wouldn't stray someone from buying the Dusk if that's what they wanted. It's a great pistol as well! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the comparison. Being shorter than you qnd considering the ffl fee I'm leaning dusk 19. Sct was just ok but the dusk should be a nice upgrade. If gg makes a 43x I'd get one.
Nice vid. One question: there is a "gash" in the lower part of the magwell. Did this happen after a drop? or is it something you did on purpose? (trying to imagine how sturdy this polymer is).
Murphys guns is only 10-15 min from my house, but I never went there bc i was under the impression they primarily stock, promote, and sell to hunters. I guess i got the vibe that their selection for home defense or edc would suffer. I will have to go check them out. Usually, i go to The Hub or Sportmans Warehouse. Do you train anywhere local? I really like Warlizard Tactical. Well, I look forward to following you and catching up on your past videos. Matt.
I use public lands (BLM Land) north of Tucson. But for Murphy's...yes, they have a lot of fuddy hunter stuff. But they have walls of AR's and AK's, silencers, and a ton of handguns as well. Including a big selection of weapon lights. Thanks!!!!
All the good stuff I've seen so far with their grips, I'm wondering how good their slides are. I might get one just cuz... hmm Great review as always, stay safe God Bless ✌️ 🇺🇲
Will be getting this frame this week. How is that Combat Armory Slide? I’ve been looking at the frame and the Upper Parts kit but I haven’t found a video that’s dedicated to the CA19 slide
I have a video coming out on the entire CA19 pistol. But the slide seems good to go. It's not optic cut or anything. But it seems good. My personal favorite less expensive aftermarket slides are the one's from AIM Surplus.
@toddsprosky4732 You'll have to check me on this because I'm not 100% certain. But I believe they're planning on doing a G17 size. But as of right now they just have the G19 size.
I have three of these. More in my future. The OP says the grip angle is similar. It is not. Glocks have a 22 degree grip angle, the GG grip is an 18 degree angle. Similar? eh.... I couldn't shoot a standard glock nearly as well as my 1911's, which have a 17 degree grilp angle. If you are a 1911 shooter, buy this GG lower. It will point like your 1911 does. Gaston Glock chose to "aim with the thumbs" like a handshake grabbing the grip.1911's aim like your pointer finger, trigger finger, first finger... howerver you want to say it. This Grit Grip points like your finger. Very 1911 feel with a fuller grip to fill your palm. As soon as I finished the build and test fired, I was sold. Several times over in fact. The OP is correct, there are several other alternatives. I've handled SCT and Icarus (aluminum). . Nothing comes close to this GG19 grip!
I still really like my p80s❤ the frame options were vwry limited when p80 was forst getting popular and I dove head first. Built too many years ago and locked myself in pistol wise 😂 my wife is in no way authorizing any additional firearms any time soon.
@@anthonydiaz5727 Just like any other serialized part. You just get the Grit Grips frame shipped to your FFL. There's no law against changing out serialized parts.
@@gregmontoya7295 OE Glock 19. Polymer guide rod and OE spring. And unless I buy some sort of slide completion kit that comes with something else like a steel one. OE Glock is what I put in anything I put together.
While not everyone likes it. The Glock grip angle is actually a better and more optimized angle for shooting. Yes, if you're used to a more straight up and down (natural) angle like a 1911, it does take practice to get used to. But having to rock your wrists forward is actually advantageous because it helps with recoil mitigation and follow up shots. Not sure if you've tried the SCT/Kiger frame. But it may have the angle more closely to what you're looking for. Thanks for watching!
Judging by the comments, we are not sick and tired of better clones. I have 5 clones; from best to ok, Nomad gen 5, Shadow Systems MR918, Lone wolf TWC and TWF and SCT. Last month i almost bought the CA 19. 90 percent of my pistols are gen 4 and gen 5. I wonder if they might also produce a 19x or g45 frame. Live free Armory has the Falcon 9 (g45 rmr clone) for around 300 bones. I wonder 2 things and hopefully you guys can answer. Can I dremel the front little lip to accommodate a gen4-5 slide ? I just don't want to buy another gen 3 slide. The SCT is married to a g23 gen 3 with rmr cut that i practically got for free. I wonder if i buy a GG19 frame, i could gut up the front rails ,add a rook or p80 compact locking block and essentially build a super ergonomic g26 with g19 grip and magazines. I hate spacers and magazine sleeves. And i have a g23 gen 3 slide somewhere in my toolshed.
I just released a video on the CA19. You may want to see that before buying. As for Dremelling out the front of the frame for a gen 5 slide. I honestly can't say whether it will or won't work. But it looks as if it might. Thanks for watching!
The same reason nearly every other aftermarket frame is. The Glock patent ran out on that pistol. It's also the generation with the widest variety of aftermarket parts.
It is a small company gaining traction. There will be times where the server is slow or there is an upgrade happening. The customer service is fast, helpful and responsive so one is having an issue send an email and GritGrips will get you taken care of.
@reflexboxer2ndlt807 Have you used these? I've shot nearly all the Shadow Systems models and they're good enough. But I still think the Grit Grips is better. And I can easily find the Grit Grips stand alone frame for sale to assemble my own firearm.
Just because you just bought your new gun and started shooting 5 minutes ago, doesn't mean there aren't far more proliferate generations out there. Gen 3 is the most common for all aftermarket parts and frames
@davidhunter3222 It's almost as if gen 3 is the most popular and common aftermarket stuff. Weird right? So stupid to make your frame compatible with the most common aftermarket parts.

Finally! A grip that is textured high enough to accommodate the web of your hand. So many grips don’t do this! Thanks for the review!
Agreed! Thanks for watching!
A lot of people want that section smooth...it's not the key area anyway. The key areas are the sides.

I love mine. I’m waiting for them the make a magwell for it. I’m also REALLY hoping they make a G45 or G17 frame in the future.
I also wish they would make a magwell and a Gen 3 Glock 45 frame clone
I heard that they were making a g43x and a g45 frame soon from a word of mouth
That beaver tail is what is getting my attention. And almost has me sold.

Thank you bro! This may be right up your alley!
Do you know anything about the company slide for 19 woman and how it functions?
Big gap between the frame and the slide up front. Mine is like that too. I'll be correcting that with carpentry clamps and a heat gun.
Not a concern. But best of luck to you.
