Does the portable WH62 DECT use DECT when using the UC dongle or is it bluetooth? If DECT, do you have any knowledge if it works as well as using one with the DECT base? Better than using bluetooth also?
The WH62 UC uses DECT with the UC Dongle, and it works as well as the WH62 with the DECT base aside from you get less wireless range (about 300ft vs 500ft). Better than using Bluetooth in regards to wireless range, yes. It all depends on your specific needs if Bluetooth vs DECT is the best way to go.
Hello. Is there any alternative to Logitech H800? I mean an over-ear headset with BT and proprietary wireless USB dongle that behaves like a normal audio device in windows. Usual BT-only headsets have troubles switching between BT profiles (Stereo/Handsfree).
Bluetooth speakers already sound good enough for most people but BT microphones still sound poor/lacking even when compared to 20yo wired/USB mic. Is this expected to change anytime soon or are there already super great sounding BT mic that I'm not aware of?
Interesting, we're not hearing the same thing. Audio is so subjective so we're not sure your expectations or what exactly you're comparing to, but most clients tell us the mic quality for their calls or meetings is plenty fine with the models in this video, and many other comparables. Sounds like the Modmic may be what you're looking for? ruclips.net/video/Tut1KDa_S3M/видео.html
@@HeadsetAdvisor Do you believe, when e.g. podcasters are given a choice between a Modmic & USB/wired mic, at least some of them would choose Modmic (or whatever state-of-the-art BT mic) over wired purely on their subjective judgement? I'd think the vast majority of them would choose -- and are choosing -- wired mic. I can't think of many podcasters using a BT mic come to think of it. Isn't this somewhat of a proof that wired vs BT isn't purely subjective and people actually do prefer wired sound?
@@deersakamoto2167 if we're strictly talking about a microphone to be used on a podcast, in most cases you aren't going to buy a headset like in this video or a Modmic, so it wouldn't be the right comparison. We're not experts in microphones for podcasts but typically it seems like most people in this setting use a wired condenser microphone, so it doesn't sound like you're wrong.
@@HeadsetAdvisor >> podcast, in most cases you aren't going to buy a headset like in this video or a Modmic Right, and my original question was why this is the case. Is this the fundamental limitation of BT tech? Or are we eventually get to a point where we can't tell the difference between BT mic headsets and Blue Yeti's of the world during our Zoom calls? You do lots of headset reviews, wired and wireless -- where the main audio for the video primarily I assume comes from a wired mic :) -- so I thought you guys had some insight on this
@@deersakamoto2167 it’s a great question! We don’t have a good technical answer or insight on this so we will need to get an audio engineer involved in this discussion to give an accurate answer. Let us see what we can do 🙂

Not sure about any direct alternative sto the H800 but the BH72 or BH76 in this video would be comparable.

The BH76 noise cancelling is underwhelming
Not sure why, but the noise cancelling is much better the next time they tested it. ruclips.net/video/gjIzzcEMj9w/видео.html
