Ha I'm in the exactly the same situation. Nearly at the 40 mark and bought a Bullit hero 125. Mine 2019 with 2k on it. Did a few bits like chain adjustment and service aswell. Only issue i had was a badly wired aftermarket rear light popped the main fuse under the seat and just lost all power and had no tools to get under the seat. Keep a 10mm spanner cabled tided on and a some space fuses now. There is a dianostic port under the seat. The Hero sounds really good but its quite loud for longer trips. I highly recommend getting it on some greenlanes or fireroads. They really come to life on the gravel tracks. Thankfully in my area most of the public roads are small rough and winding so the 30 to 50 range is great around here. Thanks for the vid. Happy riding
Glad you're enjoying the bike, certainly looks cool and not a bad price too to start off with. Always teething problems, but im sure you will get those sorted out. That longer trip sounds good. Just don't forget to change out of your slippers before you do, though 😉😊👍
I had the same issue, but I put E10 rather than E5 in it and it clogged the injector, resulting in the same fault you are talking about. Check that out!
On the standard 14/42 gearing, mine would run out off oomph at 55ish, I've since fitted a 15 tooth front sprocket, and it now pulls past 60mph, i even got 72mph on gps with the wind behind me.
I'm about 3000 miles in with a 2022 legend 125 and that issue has been getting worse and worse. I've seen alot about valve clearance and I'm going to try this myself. It seems like a pretty solid solution.
Hi Mark- nice to see you're still enjoying being a part-time biker 😉 well, a 125 with something just north of 10bhp sure is best kept to smaller lanes, where one is less likely to collect traffic behind you... I know by now, as this spring I added a 125 (Honda Super Cub) to my collection, which is a pretty and cheerful little bike, but likes best purring along at 45-50mph. and is very unlikely to exceed 60mph by any real margin.... but of course, it doesn't have to. I guess you can't read the bus data on this bike. somehow I don't really believe it't got to do with the engine tightening up at 50plus mph, this would be very unlikely for a modern 4-stroke. however, 2 things may cause this "fading" of power. perhaps you can check your spark plug- if the mixture tends to get too lean (oxygen sensor malfunction, fuel filter clogged) that would cause the engine to loose power. then, there may be an engine temp sensor. if so, what does it do when sensing "too hot"? I could imagine that it would retard the ignition to reduce power. might be worth looking into.
Thanks for all the advice Wolf, all great suggestions! Definitely trying to keep to the slower roads, that dual carriageway was out of necessity but also a good experiment 👍 Super Cubs seem like very popular bikes to collect! I know someone who went touring on one with a few friends all on the same model bike 🤣 couple of breakdowns but looked like a lot of fun!!
I hope my new Bluroc Tracker bike i just bought will do better. If the same thing happens i will get to the bicycle path. Fingers crossed. They say the chinese bikes are getting better but how long do they say this?
Good looking bike. I run Polish version of it made in China for ROMET (old Polish motorbike, bike company). Over here is called SCMB 125 (as they add some scrambler'ish look to it). I did over 1000km and it drives. I spotted that swapping to 10W50 (Penrite MC4ST in my case) after 500km made it run smoother and the sh*tbox, I mean gearbox runs a little bit better. Rear suspension is... , lets say that there is a rear suspension. The main difference I cans spot is that in my SCMB the bike has full frame. What RMP do You have at 90km/h (56mph)? Have fun wit it.
Totally know where you're at with the power and speed limitations, it's dangerously slow at times and don't talk to me about going up hills , though going down them at least I've hit over 60mph, but then again the speedo is reading about 3-4 mph optimistically. Might try that windshield, as yes, your body is acting like a massive air brake (try it, lean into the bike , get up to speed then sit up, knocks a good 5+mph off) My Legend has cut out a few times, but not regularly, and I too have done a basic service, though I just bought a Hiflo air filter and you need to oil it first WTF ! More to learn and more to buy, but it's all good prep. I've not even attempted a dual carriageway and won't bother, it would be too stressful. With motorbiking confidence building now after 8 weeks of riding, I hold my road position and don't worry about people tailgating me as long as I'm maintaining the speed limit, it really did wind me up at first and detract from my enjoyment. Not all fellow riders do "give the nod" but yes a few have buzzed me too! Riding a bike has made me more observant as a car driver now but I"m itching to get my DAS and get a 650cc, just don't know when that will be. Good luck with your longer ride out, the longest I did was the very first ride back from the seller's house to my own, 62 miles, but I do want to try taking it out for a day trip before the year is out. I'm concentrating on slow manoeuvres for now, emergency stops and hills starts and constantly reminding myself to do lifesaver checks, so easy to fall into bad habits already.
Thanks for the comment! Yes all that tallies with my experience and my goals are more or less the same! Keep looking at the RE Interceptor and the BSA Goldstar but need to get my license as a priority 😂
Valve clearance ? If you check it as it’s rocking that’ll do, not sure if they’re done hot or cold on these but that could make a difference ? Yes the injectors are cheap and nasty, I read you can fit Suzuki OEM ones which are way better. The O2 ( lambda) sensor is another possible cause of the bike bogging down, you should have a OBD port on the bike and surprisingly the really cheap readers off of fleabay ‘ will’ pull any fault codes in the memory and clear them, I’ve used the VeePeak Bluetooth OBD reader which just plugs in and let me read ‘ live’ data on my phone via a app, the live graph was flatlining reading the O2 sensor which showed it was deader than Elvis, a good sensor will give you a sine wave which shows it is sensing the oxygen content twice a second and adjusting the amount of time the injector stays open to give you the optimum stoichiometric air/fuel ratio. You can buy O2 bypass plugs which are circa £10, they just replace the sensor in the loom and tell the ECU ‘ everything’s fine the fuel/air mix is perfect’, only thing is I’ve never seen one for Chinese bikes, Jap bikes no problem, I think it’s because Chinese bikes use Delphi connectors in their looms, maybe as more Chinese bikes hit the market more aftermarket stuff will be available but at the moment it’s like hens teeth !
I know what happened to you, it was my first bike too, that's the fuel injectors, they are crap or somethings wrong with them, they must be cleaned from time to time and calibrated, they are shit. My bike reduced speed till she didn't even reach 30kmh. Without the original chain and that shit of fuel injectros the bike will never fail and you Will love it. Buy a royal enfield and keep the Bullit like me.
500 miles is not enough to get the engine running smoothly, the manual recommends 3/4 throttle max until about 900 miles. Also, if you are skilled enough you can own the road regardless of power, it is the inexperienced riders that will flutter in these situations and you are at a beginner level therefore you will not be riding this bike or any bike better. I own the spirit 125 and quite easily run the bike up to 70mph in normal conditions, however as with any smaller capacity bikes they are not going to maintain constant speed in headwinds or hills, once you have come to terms with these limitations you will learn to adjust your riding to match the demands of the road. I recommend also getting the bike professionally serviced to check over all of the bolts/fittings etc especially at this early stage when the bike will be rattling about. I also read that a change of silencer can improve things because the stock is not fully sealed, I've not tried this myself yet but i can definitely see how this would help.
Hi, thanks for the comment, yes definitely a novice rider so keeping the momentum going is something I’m sure will come with experience! The 500 miles is in my ownership so the bike was showing around 1100 miles at the time this was filmed, since then (another 700 miles) no issues with bike cutting out and all bolts are tight after checking that a few times! Really enjoying it but still only getting 60-65mph tops, I think one big improvement could be tyres, the Spirit has normal road tyres whereas this has knobbly ones which I’m sure won’t help performance! I’ve since passed my big bike test so whether this stays is in debate but nice bike for the money for sure 👌
If you want more speed then oo racing do a injection delete kit for £88 it livens up the bike up alot youll be impressed and will be more reliable than the injection system
I am a owner of a new Bluroc Legend with 1500 km.and have serious problems...no power (i climb hills in the 1.gear with 40 kmh.and the second gear has not power enough) and after every cold start the motor dies several times while running...the dealer has no solution and says it is a common problem with the controll electronics of this bike ,but the Bluroc company gives no support and doesent respond to inquiries. Beautiful on the outside, but poor in the inside...I am very disappointed!!!
I've finally woken up from the nightmare... The seller could not repair the engine problems and had taken back the bluroc legend. I now have a 20 year old honda shadow vt125 without this electronic crap with full 15 hp that works perfectly and makes 120 km/h.The Bluroc manufacturer had not given an answer to my inquiries until today... That says it all
Hi, been watching your channel for some time as I have a disco 3 and a 2001 XKR and enjoy the drives that you do. I'm afraid though that the bike isn't very good as people who are into bikes avoid Chinese ones. They are poor quality and rust in a very short time, the cycle parts esp electrics are often problems, but on the upside the engines are generally reliable if looked after. In my experience you are better off buying a 10 year old Japanese bike than a new Chinese one. Get your test done and move up to something much better. By the way, I assume that when you checked your valves that you had the cylinder on TDC of the compression stroke and the mark was aligned in the access hole on the generator cover? The cutting out when at speed is likely to be a fuel problem, check fuel is pissing out of the hose over a few minutes and that the flow doesn't slow down, the other likely issue is water or dirt in the carb, may be worth checking that and run it on E5 fuel, not that e10 stuff. Best of luck
Totally agree! I did look at second hand Japanese bikes but 125s are funny as they seem to hold value for known makes and even 10/20 year old bikes were over 2 or 3k in good nick which I didn’t have, so this is very much a stepping stone to get some experience and hopefully onto better stuff once I’ve gone for my test etc 🤞 yes valve clearances all done with timing marks in the right place, I’ve done cars before so this was a lot simpler! Will check that fuel theory too!! Thanks 🙌

I’m looking for a wind deflector as well, liking the look of yours, do you have a link please for that and the exhaust wrap? 🙏
I’m nearby too, live in Crawley, so may see you out on the country lanes 🙂

Lots of great info there! Thanks! I’ve done the valve clearances and seems ok now after more miles! If it comes back I’ll definitely refer to this! 🙏
Hi, Which givi mount are you using? Can't seem to find it on their website
I’ve no idea 🙈 it came with the bike, I think it must be a universal thingy on a custom bracket or something 🤔
