First of all, that area is closed in winter, but if you want to try it out in summer when its dry would be best. If you start form the Nasby end would be the easiest. Mt Buster rd. You can get to the diggings easier that way and see how you go. If in doubt go back down Mt Buster rd. Thats the road I came out, its worth a look so is Nasby.
first time in there looking for some new hunting grounds my jeeps fuel pump stopped working had permission to come through from one of the farms over by kurow was a long walk out from the Kyeburn digging's to kurow
yes was up hut creek and down to Awakino station they were very good and gave me a lift to kurow think the track got a lot of water damage a few years ago Didn't make it to work the next day my legs were stuffed was just above Tailings Hut when my jeep broke down. is a very cool drive along the huge shingle screes when you come in from hut creek
Terrific. Thanks.
Thank you for watching
Hey Neil, would my standard Pajero Sport be ok on this trail? The only mod it has is decent AT tyres.

I had a SC4WD club trip organized to go though there paying $10 per vehicle, but a snowstorm that November canceled it. Then the track got washed out.
