I don't always click on movie clips, but Quigley catches my attention - great movie!
Ditto!!
I think Tom Selleck makes one of the best cowboys ever. "Quigley Down Under" is a stellar example of his cowboy persona.
How about all the Louis L'Amour movies he was in.
@@rickraber1249Yes. He and Sam Elliott were an awesome pair in The Sacketts
~ 1 of my favorite scenes. ~
“This film won me over to ALL of his Westerns.”
Selleck made other Western ?
@@user-hx2mm5hh7l Hah? Really? It's in the title of the vid...
@@NikitaKyndt google translate does not work so well for video titles. Its "Quigley Down Under"
Me too, but this is still my favorite. "The Shadow Riders" is probably second.
One of the best movies of all time .
It would have been interesting to see a few more movies of Quigley , like the Indiana Jones sequels.
IKR? Which is a cool reference because Spielberg wanted Selleck *for* Indy, but Magnum P.I. wouldn't release him to do it, so they got Ford instead.
Still could
One of my favourite scenes from a terrific movie. The soundtrack is superb and fits this scene perfectly.
Basil Pouldouris. Brilliant composer.

Never underestimate the power of the mustache
lol
Or that of a Sharps rifle... amazing power for its day.
I made a similar shot in Afghanistan in 2011, minus the girl, the horses, the wagon, the 45-70, the Australians, the knife, the gold, the water......other than that, it was pretty much the same thing.
45-110, if memory serves.
😂😂
lol
I didn’t but I did stay at a holiday inn last night 😂
LOL, and it was only 75 yards. ;-)
"You forgot the gold" - similar to a scene in The Outlaw Josey Wales - "I got the gold, pa."
And this was in between being a P.I. in Hawaii and then a Police Commissioner in New York. 😳
And along the way, a small Massachusetts town police chief.
And winning the pennant in Japan.
And having a baby.
@@spikespa5208 I liked him as the Massachusetts please chief I thought he was very very good in it better than police commissioner
@@puffyg3477 A film that couldn't be made today since "Mr. Moms" are normal.
Seen the scene many times, but still dance on the edge of my seat as the wagon goes farther and farther away.
That score, the struggle of Quigley to get into position, that wiping his busted up eye to see clear and finally at the last second... BAM! A body falls.
Nice shot. Also, the team is just going to run home, so no problem there.
Still, it's one problem less. ..
Excellent Western down under.
Great movie. Great acting, Great Score.

I saw this movie a few times over the years. Good movie 👏🏻🥰‼️
Always a good repeat!!
@@industrialathlete6096 … Definitely 😊!
That is a better shot than the bucket one!
That guy died awfully quick from a stomach wound.
Actually Quigley pushed his knife all up the way to his heart, plus cutting the Dorsal Aorta along the way.. Virtually an instant bleed out, and he stopped the heart. Dr. George Whitehead
@@georgewhitehead8185 Would have been really messy in real.
@@kevhauser bled out in the body cavity. killed a lot of big animals.
ITS A MOVIE BATMAN😂
"died awfully quick from a stomach wound" They always do
LOVE IT ,GOOD KNIFING ,BETTER SHOT,GOOD MOVIE KNIFE WENT IN GOOD 😂
45-90 vs human head = total vaporization. Cute movie scene though.
45-110
@@johnrichardson3715 Even Better!
@@chrismifflin3862It's a limited budget western from the early 90s. Were you expecting Saving Private Ryan level gore here? Still a great scene in a great film.
@joeberger3441 You are right. I was being facetious. Was and still is a great movie. I am quite sure even if the director wanted to make an accurate depiction of a 45-100 vs. human head, the movie would have been R rated, which would have likely hurt the box office at the time.
A slug like that, if it hits solidly, is going to be trouble no matter *where* it hits.
He put that sight on pretty quick
Look closely at the clip. The tang sight is on the rifle when the Ausie lays it on the ground to get the gold from Quigley.
At least no dirt in the barrel
right!
Great non western Western movie.
No slope here.
Why do people run away in a straight line.
Panic. They're not thinking!! And they have no contingency plans........
The Prometheus school of running away.
The Prometheus school of running away FROM THINGS.
DING!
Serpentine! Serpentine!
You ever try zig zagging with a team of horses pulling a wagon at a full run before? I don't think you'd do more than zig before you tipped over the wagon and tossed the horses, and probably broke a quantity of your own bones.
Great movie. 😃
Yeah right 🤣🤣🤣
I know it wasn't a real rifle (probably a knock off) that was thrown to the ground in the duel,l but that still was a painful scene to watch.
Serpentine! Serpentine!
When will they learn to go down range semi-sideways :)
Gotta admit, when I’m out sage ratting sometimes I pretend I’m Matthew Quigley
If only the guy had thought to ride away at a bit of an angle, rather than making it a straight shot.
Ah well.
This Movie was so Far Where The Rescuers Down Under (1990) was Named After, even though The Rescuers Down Under (1990) wasn't really the Best Disney Movie that I Have Watched
This was the one of two flaws in the movie. why would the boss “Marston” let this ranch hand guy have this one of a kind custom rifle, cartridges, and cowboy hat and not keep them himself? I know though. Just to come up with a reason how Quigley got his gun back, of course.
Plot armor of course, but making guesses, Marston was definitely a revolver guy; in the bucket scene he was surprised by Quigley' skills but surely kept the notion that his rifle was just a complex novelty. As for his cronnies, i don't remember the sequence exactly, but i can see the ignorant accomplice just picking the rifle because it was a long gun to go out in the plains and was just handy nearby after beating Quigley.
Cuando la película completa en español 👍🇺🇾🇺🇾
Only in this movie!!!
Então eu não sei português direito ou seja nada de inglês deveria colocar eu sei que o filme é muito pãozinho é colocado do lado em espanhol que dá para a gente entender mas desse jeito não dá não😂😂😂😂😂😂
RUN FOST RUN HESGOING TO SHOT
😮
Parece buena que se ponja.😁
Bom dia
🎯
Wouldn't the horses stop once they weren't being driven?
nope, they'd continue running till tired, then walk right on home
สนุกครับ
Lousy shot: he missed his ear!
And DOWN went the trumpers!
🤣🤣🤣
Except the satisfaction of having eliminated the two unfriendly guys, what happened next ? Horses without drivers would usually go back home… was it here some Hollywood thing and they turned around to pickup the Hero and his Damsel in distress ?
(I saw that movie about a felt century ago and don’t remember this scene !)
Horses did return to the ranch, so Marston knew something had happened.
@@donscheid97 Thanks for your kind reply !
But weren’t the bad boys Marston’s men ? (I definitely do have to find a way to rewatch this movie asap. But difficult without Netflix and Co to dig in…)
I think you can find it YT now.
Reins were apparently dropped which ground-reins a well trained horse. So they stopped running and just stood there for a bit........
Как называется фильм на русском языке?
stop watch it. Just dumb, distance vs .45/70
rainbow trajectory. Funny, saw the same impossible event,in a clip of Sharpe. the
scene involves further distance than a 45/70
can get with just an attempt of longest "bullet
in the dirt"
бабу они связали, очевидно она опаснее
Lie, the gun can not shoot faraway like that , lie !
Actually it can .
😄 🤦♂
Tom.....not my favorite!
أفشل إخراج لأفشل مشهد في العالم .
=5+.
Đúng là phim Mỹ luôn xàm Lôn.......😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
