That score, the struggle of Quigley to get into position, that wiping his busted up eye to see clear and finally at the last second... BAM! A body falls.
You ever try zig zagging with a team of horses pulling a wagon at a full run before? I don't think you'd do more than zig before you tipped over the wagon and tossed the horses, and probably broke a quantity of your own bones.
@@chrismifflin3862It's a limited budget western from the early 90s. Were you expecting Saving Private Ryan level gore here? Still a great scene in a great film.
@joeberger3441 You are right. I was being facetious. Was and still is a great movie. I am quite sure even if the director wanted to make an accurate depiction of a 45-100 vs. human head, the movie would have been R rated, which would have likely hurt the box office at the time.

Doch nur, damit es Quigley wieder erlangen kann...also schaue ich drüber weg und erfreue mich trotzdem am Film.
This was the one of two flaws in the movie. why would the boss “Marston” let this ranch hand guy have this one of a kind custom rifle, cartridges, and cowboy hat and not keep them himself? I know though. Just to come up with a reason how Quigley got his gun back, of course.
Plot armor of course, but making guesses, Marston was definitely a revolver guy; in the bucket scene he was surprised by Quigley' skills but surely kept the notion that his rifle was just a complex novelty. As for his cronnies, i don't remember the sequence exactly, but i can see the ignorant accomplice just picking the rifle because it was a long gun to go out in the plains and was just handy nearby after beating Quigley.

It would have been interesting to see a few more movies of Quigley , like the Indiana Jones sequels.
IKR? Which is a cool reference because Spielberg wanted Selleck *for* Indy, but Magnum P.I. wouldn't release him to do it, so they got Ford instead.
