With respect to the creator, the 8-bit Fireball is quite possibly the most powerful shard in the game. Getting it to Rank 9/Grade 9 will let you shoot 5 fireballs that each hit for over 300-350 damage a pop, depending on your stats. You can melt bosses in seconds with it. It's stupidly powerful. With it, I've done both Boss Rush modes on Nightmare difficulty in less than 60 seconds, with nearly all but the last few bosses literally getting 1-shot and the few that don't getting 2 or 3 shot. It's stupidly powerful.
I don't use the 8-bit Fireball, but in general the bosses are no where challenging sadly :'( I beat most if not all in a minute or so each... That and in addition to how short the game is, are my only 2 issues with it. Otherwise, I love it and enjoyed every second!
It's also a quest reward. While you can farm for it, you're really better off money farming, then using upgraded Alchemic Bounty to craft a few multiples of 32 bit items and then breaking down the extras to get your 8BNs back to craft the others.
Don.t forget about the 8bit zombie glitch, just before the boss room invert and there will be infinite zombie spawn, Funny thing is that i did it before i knew it was a glitch, and farm tons of gold and xp without really moving
Miriam is such a character. She's blank enough that we can project yourself into her but she's also charming enough to the point you really like her and just wanna protect her.
Thanks for the video. I tried to beat this boss when i was only like 900 hp, and i died at least 5 times. Now that i have over 1500 hp and killed the final boss, it should be an easy fight, specially if i borrow a book that gives me 15 fire protection, and use some special ring, that gives me another 25 points against fire.
@@nevnad4587 the name of it isn't literally shield shard. I forget the name of it, but it's a purple shard and the name starts with A.....I believe. You get it from those huge guys that walk towards you with a huge shield in front of them.
The boss also gives you a shard, usually it takes a few tries to get it. It would have been cool to see that as well. Also it's way easier to kill the boss with a greatsword since you don't have to jump to do damage.
Yeah, I used that ice based G sword called Schedar. Still, the 8 bit overlord has a lot of HP. I decided to equip the gauge glasses to know how long will it take for him to die.
I just finished it... It is difficult and I am only half way through the game I think... I'll tell ya..... I used the inferno breath thats acquired from the dragons at the tower, and it absolutely annihilated the 8 bit boss!!!! Extremely rapid continuious hits at 84 damage per hit......

Daniel Watkins same here I got the item but it doesn’t appear in my items or materials or weapons or armors or shards so maybe it’s a harder playing level for the game ??? Idk id like to know as well thanks in advance
Yes, the boss can drop it and you can fight him as many times as you like. You can also equip the Alchemist's Bounty and craft a weapon that uses the 8-bit nightmare as a component and disassemble it to get your 8-bit nightmare back. Keep crafting until you get a duplicate craft and voila, easy 8-bit nightmare.

@@ahmedp800 Did you do the secret boss fight against O.D. in Glacial Tomb? I thought that particular fight was pretty challenging.
@@ahmedp800 if the bosses arent challenging then isnt that the time when you play the game in a higher difficulty?
I second that. My fully upgrade 8-bit Fireball and LCK build netted me all the shards and destroyed all the bosses -- almost making the game TOO easy.
I just got this game for Christmas and I love how much it reminds me of playing castlevania games. It is so much fun.
I think 8-bit nightmare itself is a direct reference to SOTN stage "nightmare" where you battle the succubus.
Agreed
Overlord also drops the 8-Bit Nightmare book so you can actually get two.
yeah but you have to move FAST to grab the drop because you get kicked out of the Nightmare as soon as he disappears
Chokah because 8 seconds isn't enough time apparently

Celest is not a boss just a room to chill in
a trick : watch movies at Flixzone. I've been using them for watching lots of of movies these days.
@Richard Trey Yea, I've been watching on flixzone} for years myself :D

wtf calm down psycho
mr pink The irony..........
1:16 What secret boss? The Celeste key didn't lead me to any secret bosses. Just an easter egg room.
Kratos Aurion Plays yup, no boss. Only warhorse and millionaire lead to bosses
and carpenter
Dude you're using the same souls im using in my first playthrough. Welcome company and true arrow!
Thanks for the video.

If you dont want to deal with the fire nonsense, use shield shard to block it
Yes! That shield is LITERALLY a lifesaver and blocks everything.... until the defense is broken.
Which is why I use it in Half-second bursts. I might miss one or two hits, but better than the pounding you tend to take after it breaks.
where is this shield shard u speak of? Did a little bit of looking around but i couldn't find it. Online i mean.

Directional shield that you get from the large shield enemies and the werewolf shield ability.
Also in Super Castlevania IV, there is a place before final boss, where you fill your hearts
My game is glitched. I killed the boss twice and still no 8 bit nightmare chest. Also the millionaire room opened without a key. So bizarre
Doe as the 8bit Nighmare book do anything?

Rank 9 directed shield will nullify all attacks from 8 bit nightmare including fire wave making the fight trivial and easily farmable
What boss does celeste key lead to? All I found was a room with a bunch of music boxes and a ghost that sits in the chair
Its just a relaxing room

This game is good but it has some serious design flaws.
Is the fairy familiar good compare to other?
She has the benefit of letting you use fairy potions through her, but i'd say that the dullahead is the best familiar at max level.
@@FiddsOnYou
She also sings if you play the piano for her .... but she sounds far better in japanese than in english. ^_^
I was able to complete it just 50% of the game but man it was hard as hell with my current exp. Level

‘Welcome Company’ it’s a poltergeist you can get under the Conjure shards.

Can you farm the 8 bit nightmare craft item doing it over and over
Yes

Use wolf to guard boss fire pillar ez

Directional Shield works good too,
Zyzyx Ziggy or just stop being a pleb lol
(joke)
The Centre directional shield is broken at max ranks lol it stops damn near anything
Why is it Miriam's eyes are glowing ? Also, has anyone figured the puzzle out in the Celeste room?
It's Yellow Shard that makes you use less MP. Dunno how to translate it in English.
